War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

In order to prevent the situation from escalating any further, the Temple Master of the main Title Temple decided to put up the Exploding Element Celestial Fruit as a reward for the young genius who ranked first in the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses.

With that, Vice Temple Master Liu of the main Title Temple had no choice but to give up since he knew his granddaughter would not stand a chance of winning the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses.

As for Xu Kong Hai, he felt that the Temple Master of the Title Temple was biased toward his junior nephew who was the Title Temple’s ace during this time’s Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses.

Naturally, Vice Temple Master Liu could tell the Title Temple favored the young man as well. However, what could he say since the Temple Master had spoken? He could only secretly hope an outsider would win the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses to assuage his anger. He naturally had to keep this thought a secret to avoid being labeled as a traitor.

“The Exploding Element Celestial Fruit will definitely be mine!” the young man said as his eyes gleamed with determination. He was a Nine Palaces Celestial Emperor now. With the Exploding Element Celestial Fruit, he would become a Ten Directions Celestial Emperor in a short time. After that, he would be able to attempt attaining godhood. The time saved from using the Exploding Element Celestial Fruit could be used to further comprehend his law.

“You may leave now,” Xu Kong Hai said with a faint smile, “Don’t overthink things and put pressure on yourself. The young geniuses, including Duan Ling Tian and Ling Jue Yun, are destined to become your stepping stones.”

…

Meanwhile, Duan Ling Tian who was comprehending the law of space at the Primeval Cliff was naturally unaware that the Title Temple’s ace was wary of him and Ling Jue Yun.

Although comprehending the law of space at the Primeval Cliff was not as fast compared to the Supreme Powerhouse Divinity, comprehending the law of space at the cliff allowed him to learn the different ways to fuse profundities from the law of space. Although he had already fused a few profundities, he still had a lot to learn in regard to fusing profundities.

Different profundities, when fused, created different results. For example, if two offensive profundities were fused, the offensive strength of the Fused Profundity would increase more than one fold. Whereas if an offensive profundity was fused with a movement profundity, it would create a profundity with both speed and incredible force. There were so many ways to fuse profundities that even a titled Celestial Emperor usually only managed to fuse a few profundities.

Duan Ling Tian and Su Li were so immersed in comprehending their respective laws at the Primeval Cliff that they completely lost track of time.

…

Meanwhile, Great Master Miyan, who possessed Ru Lai; the Temple Master of the Title Temple in the Pavilion Shaft Heaven, was rather excited when he found out Duan Ling Tian had returned to the Primeval Cliff again.

‘Feng Qing Yang must feel at ease letting Duan Ling Tian stay at the Primeval Cliff now, right? If I make a move now, my chances of success should be quite high…’

After pondering on it for a while, he changed his mind. “No, it’s too risky. Even if Feng Qing Yang isn’t there, he must have taken precautions. It’s likely that Ding Fu has placed guards there. Since Feng Qing Yang and Ding Fu are good friends, Ding Fu will definitely help Feng Qing Yang. It seems like I better wait for another chance…’

Great Master Miyan was so determined to possess Duan Ling Tian that he was willing to make certain sacrifices for his cause. After all, with 99 Heavenly Veins and his high innate talent, Duan Ling Tian would certainly attain godhood if he did not die prematurely. Moreover, Duan Ling Tian had created and gained a preliminary understanding of the two Daos of Heaven and Earth, which was one of the requirements of attaining godhood! How could he not be eager to possess Duan Ling Tian with all these factors?

“As for you, Feng Qing Yang… After my injuries recover after 100 years, I’ll definitely look for you to teach you a lesson! Once I kill you, Duan Ling Tian will be mine!” Great Master Miyan muttered to himself as his eyes shone with excitement. He was already imagining himself killing Feng Qing Yang and possessing Duan Ling Tian’s body.

…

Since the final round of the Devata Realm’s Battle of the Geniuses would commence in thirty days, all of the top 30 participants had gone into closed-door cultivation due to the pressure.

On the contrary, the other participants who had been eliminated were rather carefree. They gathered in groups and discussed fervently among themselves.

“So far, there are eight participants who have displayed the strength of a Five Star God of War. Do you think there’ll be more than ten of them during this time’s Battle of the Geniuses?”

“I think it’s very likely!”

“I agree. I think there’ll definitely be more than ten participants with the strength of a Five Star God of War this time!”

“Who do you think will rank first?”

“I’m not sure… After all, before the participants with the strength of a Five Star God of War fight each other, we won’t be able to determine who’s stronger…”

“Hey, do you think there’s any participant with the strength of a Six Star God of War?”

“A Six Star God of War? What are you talking about? The Battle of the Geniuses is only held every 1,000 years. I don’t think there’s anyone who possesses the strength of a Six Star God of War before reaching the age of 1,000!”

“You can’t say that for sure. Since there are so many participants this time with strength comparable to a Five Star God of War, it’s not entirely impossible that we have a participant with the strength of a Six Star God of War!”

The young geniuses who were eliminated were even more excited than the top 30 participants who had advanced to the final round of the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses.

Three months was a short time. However, to those eliminated young geniuses who were eagerly waiting for the final round of the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses, it felt like a long time.

Those who were involved were calm while outsiders were anxious.

Days felt like years as they waited for the final round of the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses to commence.

…

The day before the final round of the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses.

Duan Ling Tian had already returned to his wooden house a month ago to comprehend the law of space using his Supreme Powerhouse Divinity.

“I should send a message to Su Li in case he loses track of time. The finals are tomorrow after all…”

Duan Ling Tian only stopped comprehending the law of space and the Space Sword Dao using the Supreme Powerhouse Divinity a few days ago when he felt there was no longer any progress to be made for the time being.

“The final round is tomorrow?”

Duan Ling Tian could tell Su Li was shocked that time had passed so fast when he received Su Li’s reply. He advised Su Li to stop comprehending his law at the Primeval Cliff in case Su Li missed the final round of the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses.

Even if Su Li missed the final round, he would still be ranked in the top 30. However, there was a chance he could improve his rank during the final round and prolong his time in the Title Temple’s chamber of laws.

…

The group of young geniuses who had been waiting for the final round was elated.

“The final round is finally starting tomorrow!”

“I’m going to rest well tonight so I can concentrate while I watch the exciting matches tomorrow!”

“You’re right! We should all rest well tonight!”

…

The day of the final round of the Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses.

Since early in the morning, the spectator seats had been filled. Everyone was waiting excitedly for it to begin.

On the other hand, the top 30 participants, the Heavenly Emperors of the various Devata Realms, and the high-ranking officials of the Title Temple branches had yet to arrive. In fact, they were not late; it was just that the eliminated young geniuses were early.

About an hour later.

The high-ranking officials from the Title Temple branches began to arrive followed by the Heavenly Emperors of the various Devata Realms. Following that, the top 30 participants began to arrive as well.

When Duan Ling Tian, Su Li, Ling Jue Yun, and Tang San Pao arrived at the venue, they stirred up quite a commotion among the crowd.

“Duan Ling Tian is here!”

“Ling Jue Yun and Tang San Pao are here as well!”

“Can you believe it?! Not only are three of them friends, but three of them possess the strength of a Five Star God of War as well!”
