War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

Yu Dong Fang knew Gongsun Xuanyuan meant well, but he refused to let the matter go. He stubbornly said, “How dare he mock you, master! He promised to return you the favor, and yet, he still acted that way. He even openly revealed my Voice Transmission. Isn’t that disrespectful toward you?”

Yu Dong Fang’s eyes glinted coldly at the end of his words. It was as though winter had arrived.

Gongsun Xuanyuan shook his head but did not say anything else. Based on what he could see, his disciple was stronger than Duan Ling Tian. However, his instinct told him Duan Ling Tian was still hiding his strength. He did not say anything because he did not want his disciple to feel discouraged. Therefore, he swiftly diverted the topic to his Sword Dao.

After Gongsun Xuanyuan gained insight recently, he was only a step away from forming his Sword Dao and gaining a preliminary understanding of it. If he was successful, he would not have to be afraid of Ding Fu, the Heavenly Emperor of the Primeval Heaven, who was ranked fourth in the Devata Realms’ Heavenly Emperor ranking.

Ding Fu was so powerful because he had successfully created and gained a preliminary understanding of the Devouring Dao. As long as Gongsun Xuanyuan managed to create his own Sword Dao and gained a preliminary understanding of it, he was confident he would be evenly matched with Ding Fu. However, he needed to further increase his strength if he wanted to defeat Ding Fu.

“Duan Ling Tian is truly a rare genius,” Gongsun Xuanyuan said with a sigh, “He only met Feng Qing Yang about 100 years ago, but he has already successfully created his own Space Sword Dao by studying Feng Qing Yang’s Destructive Sword Dao. You should learn a thing or two from him in regard to this. Naturally, I’m not blameless since I can’t compare to Feng Qing Yang…”

Yu Dong Fang shook his head upon hearing Gongsun Xuanyuan’s words. “Master, everyone has their own time to run into fortuitous encounters. Feng Qing Yang must have had a fortuitous encounter in the Asura Hell. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to attain godhood so quickly.”

“Luck can also be considered as one’s capabilities,” Gongsun Xuanyuan said, “It’s the truth that I can’t compare to him now…”

“It doesn’t matter, master. During the final round of the Battle of the Geniuses, I’ll show everyone that your true disciple is stronger than the true disciple of the Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven,” Yu Dong Fang said confidently and resolutely.

…

The young geniuses, the Heavenly Emperors of the various Devata Realms, and the high-ranking officials of the Title Temple were staying in three different places in the Heavenly Palace of the Primeval Heaven.

However, since Xu Kong Hai was the Vice Temple Master of the main Title Temple, Ding Fu had arranged for him to stay in a secluded and quiet valley.

At this time, Xu Kong Hai was sitting cross-legged in front of a waterfall with his eyes closed. It was hard to tell if he was cultivating or resting.

Swoosh!

All of a sudden, a figure swooped down from the sky and landed near Xu Kong Hai.

“Junior Uncle Xu.”

Xu Kong Hai opened his eyes and asked immediately, “Are you confident?”

“Based on the strength they displayed today, I’m 100% confident,” the young man said arrogantly.

Xu Kong Hai nodded. “It’s impossible for any of the participants to be as strong as a Six Star God of War… It won’t be a problem for you to rank first. After all, even a top Five Star God of War isn’t a match for you…”

Surprisingly, the young man shook his head and said, “I’m not sure about that…”

“Who is it that makes you feel uncertain?” Xu Kong Hai asked, slightly surprised.

“There are two of them,” the young man’s eyes gleamed as he said, “Duan Ling Tian and Ling Jue Yun…”

Xu Kong Hai furrowed his brows slightly. “Those two? I wouldn’t be surprised if you’d mentioned Yu Dong Fang, Zhong Gui Yu, or Ye Dong Li. However, I don’t think those two pose a threat to you at all. Duan Ling Tian is only slightly over 600 years old. He’s truly outstanding to possess the strength of a Five Star God of War at such a young age. Although he has created and gained a preliminary understanding of two Daos of Heaven and Earth, I believe he has displayed all of his comprehension of the law of space. Hence, I don’t think he’s still hiding his strength…”

A hint of greed flashed in Xu Kong Hai’s eyes when he mentioned Duan Ling Tian.

The young man nodded.

Xu Kong Hai asked, “How much do you know about Ling Jue Yun? Do you know his age?”

“All the participants are below the age of 1,000…” the young man trailed off. Then, he asked, “Junior Uncle Xu, are you implying that Ling Jue Yun is younger than Duan Ling Tian and Su Li?”

“He’s almost the same age as Duan Ling Tian,” Xu Kong Hai said as his eyes glinted.

The young man inhaled sharply upon hearing these words. Shock and disbelief could be seen in his eyes at this moment. When he regained his senses, he asked, “Junior Uncle Xu, how do you know that?”

It was shocking enough that Duan Ling Tian and Su Li possessed such strength at their age. How could the young man not be shocked when he learned that Ling Jue Yun was also so young?

“You should know that apart from the participants that came with the various Devata Realms’ Heavenly Palaces, the others are brought here by the Title Temple branches. Normally, before bringing the participants here, the Heavenly Palaces must have already confirmed the participants’ ages. After all, it would be a disgrace and an embarrassment if the Heavenly Emperors were found out to have brought participants over the age limit. Moreover, the Title Temple won’t let the matter slide as well. Since the ages of the participants will only be confirmed at the end of the competition, it’ll be slightly difficult to find out the ages of the participants who came with the Heavenly Emperors. However, since Ling Jue Yun came with the Title Temple in the Wind Prop Heaven, it was not difficult for me to find out his age. The Title Temple in the Wind Prop Heaven had confirmed that Ling Jue Yun isn’t even 700 years old. They thought his strength was that of a Three or Four Star God of War so they were shocked when they discovered he was as strong as a Five Star God of War,” Xu Kong Hai explained.

Then, Xu Kong Hai glanced at the young man and said, “Now, do you still think that two men who aren’t even 700 years old are a threat to you? Especially when you possess the strength of a Six Star God of War? Don’t you think you’re worried for nothing? It’s heaven-defying enough that they possessed such strength at this age; it’d be impossible for them to be any stronger…”

“I hope so.” The young man nodded. “However, I just can’t shake off the feeling that there’s more than meets the eyes with them. Junior Uncle Xu, my master must have mentioned to you that my instincts are very accurate. It’s due to my sharp instincts, that I managed to survive a few life-or-death situations in the Nine Serenities Battlefield…”

“Yes, I’ve heard about it, but your instincts aren’t completely foolproof. Don’t tell me there’s not even one time when you were wrong?” Xu Kong Hai asked.

The young man said, “As soon as I feel something is amiss, I’ll leave without any hesitation. I won’t even stay around to confirm it. However, I have to say that there are times when I was wrong…”

Xu Kong Hai nodded. “See? You can trust your instincts fully…”

“I hope you’re right.” The young man nodded.

Xu Kong Hai said to boost the young man’s confidence, “Moreover, so what if they’re as strong as Six Star Gods of War? I heard from your master that you killed nine Six Star Gods of War in the Nine Serenities Battlefield before…”

The young man nodded. “However, they were very weak Six Star Gods of War.”

Xu Kong Hai scoffed. “So what? They’re still stronger than the top Five Star God of War. Don’t worry too much. You’ll definitely rank first in this Devata Realms’ Battle of the Geniuses and obtain the Exploding Element Celestial Fruit. Although Vice Temple Master Liu’s granddaughter covets the fruit, nothing can be done about it since there’s only one…”

Many high-ranking officials and their descendants or disciples, naturally, coveted the Exploding Element Celestial Fruit. One of them was Vice Temple Master Liu, who held the same position as Xu Kong Hai. When the high-ranking officials from the Title Temple discovered the two Vice Temple Masters were vying for the Celestial Fruit, many of them did not dare to get involved.

Due to the Exploding Element Celestial Fruit, the hostility between the two Vice Temple Masters intensified since both of them were not willing to back down.
