War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

100 years ago, when she joined her master after performing outstandingly during the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect’s disciple recruitment, she had never seen this side of her master before. The look in her master’s eyes made her feel uneasy. Something must have happened for her master to behave in such a manner.

After taking a deep breath, Feng Tian Wu shifted her gaze to Yu Wen Qing, the Sect Leader of Cloudy Sunbow Sect. Yu Wen Qing’s expression was dark as well as she said, ”Previously, the Young Master from the fourth-grade Cold Drizzle Celestial Sect had asked for Si Ling’s hand in marriage.” Her gaze softened as she looked at Duan Si Ling and said, ”Since Si Ling was unwilling, the Cold Drizzle Sect naturally could not force her. Everyone knows that Young Master is a womanizer anyway so I had no problem refusing him. Si Ling is like my daughter, and I won’t let him ruin her. Nevertheless, although that Young Master was unwilling, he could only return home since he can’t force the matter. However… This morning, an elder of the Cold Drizzle Sect came and informed me that their ancestor had emerged from closed-door cultivation. Apparently, the ancestor was furious when we rejected his grandson’s marriage proposal. He had announced that if we don’t agree, he’ll annihilate the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect.” When she finished speaking, her expression had turned incredibly unsightly.

. Duan Si Ling and Feng Tian Wu’s expressions changed drastically; they did not expect the Cold Drizzle Sect would resort to threats.

”They assumed our Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect would definitely submit to their threats?” Yu Wen Qing’s eyes glinted coldly as she sneered. ”In the past, we even rejected a marriage proposal from a first-grade force.” However, she did not mention that the first-grade force did not cause trouble even after they were rejected. Otherwise, a calamity would’ve befallen Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect as well.

”We came to send you away,” Yu Wen Qing looked at Duan Si Ling and Feng Tian Wu and bluntly said. She smiled and said, ”I’ll make an announcement that Si Ling has left the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect. If the Cold Drizzle Celestial Sect still comes looking for trouble, we’ll show them the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect isn’t a pushover!”

”Master,” Duan Si Ling’s eyes shone determinedly as she said in a grim voice, ”Based on what I know, the Sect Leader of the Cold Drizzle Celestial Sect is sensible… How can their ancestor be so vicious and threaten to kill so many innocent people? He’s such a ruthless person; I’m afraid nothing will change even if I leave. Let me stay. I will end my life in front of them to show that I’d rather die than marry into the Cloud Drizzle Sect!”

In Duan Si Ling’s opinion, her departure from the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect would not assuage the anger of the ancestor from the Cloud Drizzle Sect. However, her death should be able to reduce his anger. She did not want to marry the Young Master of the Cloud Drizzle Sect nor was she willing to abandon the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect when it was in danger. How could she leave her master who treated her like a daughter behind?

”No!” Yu Wen Qing and Feng Tian Wu objected in unison.

”Si Ling, my girl,” You Bai Feng, the Grand Elder, looked at Duan Si Ling affectionately and said, ”Be rest assured and leave. The Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect will be fine. I’ve reached out to some friends for help as well. Some of them are even Celestial Emperors. It won’t be so easy for the Cold Drizzle Sect to deal with us…’

”Junior Grandaunt, are you confident?” Duan Si Ling asked.

”Of course, I am.” You Bai Feng nodded

On the other hand, Feng Tian and Yu Wen Qing understood You Bai Feng the most. However, they knew they could not expose her lies since Duan Si Ling would never leave the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect if she learned of the truth. If something happened to Duan Si Ling, how could she face Duan Ling Tian?

’I should take Si Ling with me to the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven… Now that 100 years have passed, perhaps, Brother Ling Tian is there? Even if he weren’t there, perhaps Senior Feng Qing Yang is there? If Senior Feng Qing Yang won’t help, I’ll send Si Ling to another place before returning to the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect.

Since Bi You Feng was kind to her, she treated Bai You Feng as her mother. Although Bai You Feng did not say anything, she knew her master wanted her to leave the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect as well. From this, it was obvious she wanted Si Ling to leave.

At this moment, Feng Tian Wu said, ”Junior Grandaunt won’t lie to you. We should leave so we won’t be a burden to them.”

Following that, You Bai Feng and Yu Wen Qing personally escorted Duan Si Ling and Feng Tian Wu to the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect’s transportation site.

”Master, I’ll return after sending Si Ling off.” Feng Tian Wu sent a message to You Bai Feng.

You Bai Feng’s eyes widened as her expression changed drastically. As she was about to protest, the duo had already vanished.

”Junior Aunt, what’s wrong?” You Bai Feng’s reaction naturally did not escape Yu Wen Qing’s notice.

You Bai Feng smiled bitterly. ”Tian Wu knows me too well… She knows… Anyway, she said she’ll return after sending Si Ling off.”

Yu Wen Qing’s expression changed. ”She can’t return. If the Cold Drizzle Celestial Sect really annihilates us, they’re our only hope for revenge!”

Swoosh!

At the same time, You Bai Feng raised her hand and wiped off the mark left behind on the transportation site.

’Are they going to the Heavenly Palace?’

Feng Tian Wu and Duan Si Ling had left for the Transportation nearest to the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven. When You Bai Feng had brought Feng Tian Wu to the Heavenly Palace in the past, it was the same route they took to the Heavenly Palace.

”It seems like Tian Wu wanted to try her luck there… However, what change can there be after a mere 100 years? The Heavenly Emperor might have yet to return. As for Si Ling’s father, who knows if he’ll be accepted if the Heavenly Emperor isn’t back yet?” You Bai Feng shook her head; she was not optimistic about Feng Tian Wu’s chance even if this was the only option now. If she were in Feng Tian Wu’s shoes, she would have done the same.

”This can’t be. I’ll send a message to her now telling her not to return!” Yu Wen Qing said before she hurriedly sent a message to Feng Tian Wu.

As Feng Tian Wu had guessed, You Bai Feng had indeed lied to Duan Ling Tian. She did know a few titled Celestial Lords and Celestial Emperors, but they were just acquaintances. Perhaps, they would help if it was just a small matter. However, this matter involved the second-grade Cloud Drizzle Sect. It would be impossible for those people to intervene. After all, most of these people were sectless cultivators or from weaker forces. None of them would dare to provoke a second-grade force or risk their lives for a mere acquaintance.

…

When Duan Si Ling and Feng Tian Wu arrived on the Cloud Platform near the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven, Feng Tian Wu finally received Yu Wen Qing’s message.

”Junior Sister Tian Wu, you and Si Ling have a bright future ahead of you. You should not return. If the Cloudy Sunbow Sword Sect survives this calamity, I’ll send you another message in three days. Bring Si Ling and run as far as you can; don’t return. You can avenge us once you’ve gotten strong enough. Remember, you and Si Ling are our only hope. There’s hope as long you’re alive!”

This message was like Yu Wen Qing’s will before her death.
