War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

After a few more years had passed…

At this time, a sudden noise caught Duan Ling Tian and Huan’er’s attention. Both of them watched as a tiny crack appeared on the giant cocoon. It did not take long before the entire cocoon was covered in cracks.

Crack!

The cocoon fell apart, revealing a golden figure that was curled up in the fetal position. The golden figure that resembled slowly stretched at this moment, revealing its height that was as tall as a mountain. It had extremely sharp claws and fangs and blood-red eyes that could strike fear into one’s heart.

”Little Gold?” Duan Ling Tian stared at the gigantic golden mouse that had undergone such a huge change in shock. He asked in a daze, ”It’s… So it’s a success?”

Little Gold laughed happily when she heard Duan Ling Tian’s words. It was obvious to everyone that she had successfully become a Divine Beast.

. Duan Ling Tian smiled widely; his tense expression had vanished completely. After devouring the Turquoise Water Divine Tiger, Little Gold had successfully evolved into the Nine Depths God Killing Mouse.

At this moment, Huan’er said, ”Brother Ling Tian, Little Gold’s form looks exactly like the Nine Depths God Killing Mouse from my inherited memories.”

Duan Ling Tian looked at Little Gold and said with a smile, ”Congratulations, Little Gold! I didn’t expect to see this day when I first met you…”

A hint of nostalgia flashed in Duan Ling Tian’s eyes as he recalled the first time he met Little Gold. At that time, she was still tiny, a stark contrast to her current form.

Swoosh!

While Duan Ling Tian was lost in his thoughts, a dark gold light flashed before Little Gold returned to the human form she used in the Purgatory Battlefield. A cute little girl dressed in golden robes stood in place of the gigantic mouse. Following that, her eyes twinkled as she said excitedly, ”Brother Ling Tian, when are we leaving the Purgatory Battlefield? I can’t wait to return to the Ten Thousand Beasts Heaven and look for Little Black and Little White in the dragon clan!”

Duan Ling Tian chuckled. ”Why? You can’t wait to show off your form as a Divine Beasts?”

Little Gold laughed sheepishly when she realized Duan Ling Tian had seen through her thoughts.

…

In the beginning, when Duan Ling Tian first heard of the Purgatory Battlefield, due to their almost similar names, he had thought about the Purgatory Pavilion in the Heavenly Pool Palace’s Thousand Chains Prison despite the two having no connections at all.

The Purgatory Battlefield was a battlefield of Celestial Lords, and its counterpart for Celestial Emperors was called the Nine Serenities Battlefield.

Similar to the Purgatory Battlefield, there were many titled Celestial Emperors who gained fame during their time in the Nine Serenities Battlefield. Most of them made their names by killing powerful opponents there.

In fact, Little Gold’s current Divine Beast form, the Nine Depths God Killing Mouse, was related to the Nine Serenities Battlefield. The first Nine Depths God Killing Mouse that appeared in the history of Devata Realms was born in the Nine Serenities Battlefield.

All this information had appeared in Little Gold’s mind after she became a Nine Depths God Killing Mouse.

…

Little Gold led the way and brought Duan Ling Tian and Huan’er out of the Purgatory Battlefield and to the Ten Thousand Beasts Heaven that was mostly populated with Celestial Beasts.

”Little Gold, aren’t you going to return to the Blood Moon Ridge first?” Duan Ling Tian was dumbfounded when he found out Little Gold wanted to go to the dragon clan first upon her return. She had been away from the Ten Thousand Beasts Heaven for so long; was it not inappropriate for her to go to the dragon clan before returning to Blood Moon Ridge first. Moreover, she had told him that the Grand Elder of Blood Moon Ridge treated her like his biological granddaughter.

”Brother Ling Tian, it’s fine. Let’s go to the dragon clan before returning to Blood Moon Ridge.” At this time, nothing was more important to Little Gold than showing off to Little Black and Little White.

Soon after, the trio arrived at the estate of the clan with the longest history in the Ten Thousand Beasts Heaven.

Since Little Gold had sent Little Black and Little White prior to their arrival, the duo was already waiting for their arrival outside of the estate.

”Brother Ling Tian.”

”Huan’er.”

Little White was visibly delighted when she saw Duan Ling Tian and Huan’er.

On the other hand, Little Black’s reaction was more subtle even though his eyes shone with joy.

Before Duan Ling Tian could say anything else, Little Gold said, ”Little Black, Little White, my strength has improved again! Let’s go! Let’s spar at your clan’s training field.”

”Which one of us do you want to spar with?” Little White looked at Little Gold. Among the three of them, Little Gold had always been the weakest.

”I’ll spar with both of you at once!” Little Gold said confidently.

”Have you lost your mind?” Little White reached out to touch Little Gold’s forehead. ”Strange. You don’t have a fever…”

”Hey!” Little Gold swatted Little White’s hands before she pulled Little White away. ”Let’s go! Come on! Hurry up!”

Duan Ling Tian could not help but shake his head when he saw Little Gold’s antics.

”Brother Ling Tian, Huan’er, come with us!” Little Gold said before she disappeared with Little White.

With this, it fell on Little Black to lead Duan Ling Tian and Huan’er to the training field. During their journey there, they saw a few patrolling disciples. However, no one gave the duo any trouble since they knew Little Black.

Soon after, they arrived at the dragon clan’s training field. The training field was very vast. There were others sparring at this moment as well; some of them fought in their human forms, and some fought in their true forms.

The dragon clan’s training arena occupies a vast area and there are a lot of others sparring. Some in human form and some in dragon form. For that reason, there are not only sparring sounds, there are dragon cries too.

At this moment, someone called out, ”Duan Ling Tian, Huan’er, you’re here!”

Soon enough, Ji Ningyun, the Fourth Elder of the dragon clan, showed up not long after Duan Ling Tian and Huan’er arrived.

”Senior.” Duan Ling Tian greeted Ji Ningyun.

Ji Ning Yun did not beat around the bush and asked, ”Did all of you really go to the Purgatory Battlefield?”

”Yes.” Duan Ling Tian nodded. ”We left not long ago. ”

”Did Little Gold follow you as well?” Ji Ningyun asked again.

”Yes.” Duan Ling Tian nodded again.

Ji Ning Yun laughed as she watched Little White and Little Gold who were hovering in the air. ”Little Gold must have improved tremendously while she was in the Purgatory Battlefield… Otherwise, she wouldn’t have come to the dragon clan immediately just to spar with Little White.”

Although Ji Ningyun could tell Little Gold had improved after coming out from the Purgatory Battlefield, she did not regret forbidding Little Black and Little Gold from going to that place. Moreover, she assumed Little Gold’s strength did not improve that much.

”Mother,” someone called out. Soon enough, another person appeared.

When Duan Ling Tian saw the woman who had an athletic figure, he knew she was Ji Xiang, an elder of the dragon clan.

After reuniting with Little Black, Little White, and Little Gold, he had learned many things from the trio. He even learned about how they came to the Ten Thousand Beasts Heaven.

Little Gold was brought away by someone called Meng Yao from the Blood Moon Ridge while Little Black and Little White were brought away by the youngest elder in the dragon clan back then, Ji Xiang.

Ji Xiang was the only child of Ji Yu Nian and Ji Ning Yun, the Grand Elder and the Fourth Elder of the dragon clan respectively. For this reason, her status in the clan was rather high.

Ji Xiang and Duan Ling Tian greeted each other after Ji Ning Yun’s introduction.

As for Huan’er, Ji Xiang did not seem to care about Huan’er’s indifference as though she had already known Huan’er was like that.

As Ji Xiang looked at Little White and Little Gold, she said with a smile, ”Duan Ling Tian,Little Gold must have improved tremendously. After all, it’s rare for her to request to spar with Little White and Little Black. In the past, she had lost to Little White many times. Previously, she would even reject Little White when asked to spar…”

Upon hearing Ji Xiang’s words, Duan Ling Tian shook his head and said with a smile, ”Little Gold did not come to spar with Little White.”

Ji Ning Yun and Ji Xiang looked at Duan Ling Tian in confusion as he said, ”She came here to spar with Little White and Little Black at once.”

Needless to say, the pair of mother and daughter were shocked.

At this moment, Little Gold said, ”Little Black, why are you standing there? Come here! I want to spar with both of you at once. Otherwise, it won’t be fair for Little White.”

”Little Gold, even if you had fortuitous encounters in the Purgatory Battlefield, don’t you think you’re being too arrogant?” The usually mild-tempered Little White was angered by Little Gold’s arrogance. ”Don’t forget you used to lose to me all the time…”
