War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

“With just one point I’m ranked in 137,615thh place?” Duan Ling Tian raised his brows slightly as he looked at Little Gold. “It seems like not many have entered the Purgatory Battlefield.”

Although the Purgatory Battlefield was a treacherous place, there were many Celestial Lords from various Devata Realms who were willing to risk their lives to enter the battlefield. After all, despite the danger, there were many treasures and fortuitous encounters there. In fact, many Celestial Lords, who could not break through and become Celestial Emperors, successfully broke through after entering the Purgatory Battlefield. Some of them even managed to become titled Celestial Emperors.

When Duan Ling Tian saw he was ranked within the 140,000th place with just a point, he assumed that was roughly the number of people who had entered the Purgatory Battlefield.

Upon hearing these words, Little Gold shook her head and explained with a smile, “Brother Ling Tian, one’s name would be struck off the ranking if one leaves the Purgatory Battlefield before accumulating two military merit points. Apart from that, after accumulating two or more points, if one leaves and doesn’t enter the Purgatory Battlefield for more than 100 years, one’s name would also be removed. Some of these people can’t enter because they’d become Celestial Emperors. For those who can’t enter due to other circumstances, if they choose to enter the Purgatory Battlefield again, they would have to start from the bottom again. Therefore, based on our rankings, it means that there are more than 100,000 people who have accumulated two or more points in the past 100 years. Do you still the number is small?”

Duan Ling Tian learned new information about the Purgatory Battlefield again after listening to Little Gold. It seemed like the number of people who came here was higher than it seemed.

“Brother Ling Tian,” Little Gold added, “Usually, those who ranked from the 101st to the 1,100th place rely on joining forces to climb up the ranks. Those who ranked in the top 100 are usually very capable. Before being promoted to the rank of Commander, one would have to pass a test. In fact, if you take a closer look at the ranking, you’ll see that the rankings of those who ranked 135th to 600th have stagnated, and they all have the same number of points.”

Duan Ling Tian instinctively checked the ranking. True enough, he saw more than 400 people at and below the 135th place with the same number of points.

Little Gold continued to say, “It’s because they haven’t passed the promotion test that they all have the same number of merit points. The limit of military merit points one can accumulate is 1,000 military merit points. To accumulate more than 1,000 merit points, one has to pass the promotion test. After passing the test, the limit will be raised to 2,000 military merit points. Therefore, without passing the test, you won’t be promoted no matter how many merit points you’ve accumulated. These excess points can only be used to exchange for opportunities to enter secret zones.”

Duan Ling Tian glanced at the ranking again and discovered more than 40 people who ranked before the 135th place. Some of them shared the same number of points, which was 2,000 points, and some of them had more than 1,000 points. It was clear that the higher the rank, the higher the limit of the military merit points would be. Only the top two people on the ranking had 8,000 military merit points.

“Each time, the limit would be raised by 1,000 points. The highest limit is 8,000 points. Look at the top two people on the ranking. Although both of them have 8,000 points, it’s likely that they have actually accumulated more than 8,000 points. They could’ve accumulated more than 10,000 points or even 100,000 points, but we’ll never know due to the limit,” Little Gold said. After a beat, she added, “Many people fail to advance because they keep failing the promotion tests.

“Are tests difficult?” Duan Ling Tian asked curiously.

“The tests’ difficulty level increases with each passing one. Why I said most of those who are ranked from the 101st place to the 1,100th place usually rely on joining forces and are unable to advance is because the tests are individual tests. One can only rely on one’s strength to pass the test. For this reason, those who rely on others to advance would find it difficult to climb up the ranks after a certain rank,” Little Gold continued to explain, “Those in the Purgatory Battlefield refer to passing the tests as passing the tribulations. Those who pass the tribulation after accumulating 1,000 points are considered top Lieutenants. Although they’ve yet to enter the top 100 and become Commanders, their strengths shouldn’t be underestimated. On the other hand, Commanders who break the 2,000-point limit are referred to as level one Commanders, those who break the 3,000-point limit are referred to as level two Commanders, and so on. Finally, those who break the 7,000-point limit are called level seven Commanders.”

Little Gold paused for a moment after she finished speaking to allow Duan Ling Tian time to digest the information before she continued to say, “It’s said the two level seven Commanders who have 8,000 points are stronger than most Celestial Emperors…”

Duan Ling Tian’s eyes widened in shock upon hearing these words. “Stronger than most Celestial Emperors?”

Little Gold nodded. “I was shocked as well when I heard this. After all, at most, the level seven Commanders are Ten Directions Celestial Lords. No matter how powerful they are or how high their comprehension of the laws is, they can fused profundities. So how can they can stronger than Celestial Emperors?”

Duan Ling Tian nodded in agreement.

At this moment, Little Gold’s eyes flashed as she said in a solemn voice, “However… It’s not so shocking when you think about those extraordinary and heaven-defying Celestial Lords out there. These Celestial Lords are said to possess the legendary Five Divine Elements or other heaven-defying techniques. Those who possess Divine Elements with the highest forms are naturally the strongest…”

Duan Ling Tian was shocked when Little Gold brought up the Five Divine Elements. So there were Celestial Lords who possessed the Five Divine Elements in the Purgatory Battlefield.

“In fact, no ordinary Celestial Lords would be able to break the 7,000-point limit. In fact, it’s already difficult for ordinary Celestial Lords to break the 4,000-point and 5,000-point limit. Even comprehending all the profundities of a law to the mastery stage isn’t enough to break the 1,000-limit unless they’re not humans like me, Little Black, and Little White. Top-tier Celestial Beasts like us have a chance of breaking the 2,000-point limit with our unique techniques if we’re Ten Directions Celestial Lords who have comprehended all the profundities to the mastery stage. For Huan’er who’s close to a Divine Beast, she might be able to break the 3,000-point limit…” Little Gold looked at Huan’er at the end of her sentence.

“It’s almost impossible for non-humans to break the limits after the 3,000-point limit unless they too possess the Five Divine Elements. There’s a suspicion that those who manage to accumulate more than 4,000 points possess the Five Divine Elements. There’s no lack of people who want to rob the Five Divine Elements from these people. Since most people aren’t stupid enough to use their real names, it’s difficult for these greedy people to look for those they suspect possess the Five Divine Elements. Apart from that, it’s difficult to search for someone since we can all change our auras and also disguise ourselves.”

As soon as Little Gold finished speaking, she suddenly transformed into a huge boulder before she reverted to her human form again as if to prove a point.

‘The Five Divine Elements?’ When Duan Ling Tian recovered from his shock. When realization dawned on him, he could not help but ask the World Cleansing Divine Water in his Little World, “Sister Water, why didn’t you tell me about this earlier? This has to be the main reason you want me to come to the Purgatory Battlefield, right? You’re hoping to evolve using this opportunity…”

“Yes,” the World Cleansing Divine Water said, “I didn’t mention it because I’m afraid you’d overthink matters. However, it’s not too late for you to back out at this moment… After all, there are many people in this Purgatory Battlefield with higher forms of Five Divine Elements. If we join forces, we might be able to defeat seventh-form Divine Elements. However, we’ll be doomed if we encounter eighth-form Divine Elements. However, I don’t if there’s anyone who possesses an eighth-form Divine Element…”

Upon hearing these words, Duan Ling Tian’s eyes were shining brightly as he looked at Little Gold and Huan’er before he said, “Little Gold, Huan’er, let’s leave!”
