War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

Realization dawned on Yun Yan. He knew now why Wan Qing Qing had blocked his path; she had joined forces with Duan Ling Tian!

“Duan Ling Tian, I’m one of the core disciples of the Magic Cloud Mansion. I’ve heard a lot about you recently.” Yun Yan cupped his hands together and greeted Duan Ling Tian. Since Tan Yuan from the Fire Glaze Mansion, whose strength was on par with him, was eliminated by Duan Ling Tian, he knew Duan Ling Tian was not to be taken lightly. Faced with Duan Ling Tian, the best course of action for him was to escape. His speed was on par with Tan Yuan’s speed. He was of the opinion that Tan Yuan could have escaped from Duan Ling Tian if Tan Yuan was not careless. Therefore, he thought he would be able to escape Duan Ling Tian as well. However, this was only under the premise that Wan Qing Qing was not around. Although he was stronger than Wan Qing Qing, his speed was inferior to Wan Qing Qing’s speed. If she decided to hinder him, it would be almost impossible for him to escape. He thought to himself, ‘Wan Qing Qing comprehends the law of wood, and her speed is incredibly fast. Both of their combined strength is enough to fight any of the top six Ten Directions Celestial Dukes in the middle realm…’

Duan Ling Tian nodded slightly in response to Yun Yan’s words before he said, “Brace yourself. We’re going to make a move now.”

Following Duan Ling Tian’s words, a burst of green light surged out of Wan Qing Qing’s body before she was shrouded in green flames that illuminated her curvaceous body and almost perfect features.

Under normal circumstances, Yun Yan would have admired the beauty before him but now was clearly not the right time. He smiled wryly as he said, “There’s no need for you to make a move. I surrender.”

Yun Yan was aware that he was not a match for Duan Ling Tian and Wan Qing Qing if they joined forces. After all, the duo’s combined strength was enough to challenge any of the top six participants in the middle realm of the Southern Heaven Ancient Realm. Moreover, he did not doubt Duan Ling Tian’s identity. An identity token could not be faked after all. Therefore, he chose to surrender.

“Duan Ling Tian, visit me at the Magic Cloud Mansion if you have the time. Let’s have a drink together,” Yun Yan said with a smile as he brought his Accumulative Point Jade out. It would only benefit him to befriend a monstrous genius like Duan Ling Tian after all.

At the same time, Duan Ling Tian sent a Voice Transmission to Wan Qing Qing, “If you don’t collect his points, there’s no need for us to work together anymore.”

Wan Qing Qing was briefly stunned when she heard Duan Ling Tian’s words. She had planned to move further away so Yun Yan’s points would go to Duan Ling Tian. However, after she heard his words, she dismissed that idea. After all, she knew Duan Ling Tian was a man of his words.

Duan Ling Tian cast the law of space’s Teleportation Profundity and moved away so Wan Qing Qing could collect the points.

Before the duo ran into Yun Yan, Wan Qing Qing could deal with the people they encountered. As per the rules they had agreed on, she had rights to the points. However, she had given some of the points to Duan Ling Tian as well. For this reason, Duan Ling Tian was adamant about her collecting Yun Yan’s points.

After Wan Qing Qing collected the points, she said solemnly, “The next time we run into an opponent who requires both of us to deal with, the points will go to you. If you refuse, then, there’s no need for us to work together.”

Duan Ling Tian smiled faintly; there was no change in his expression. However, inwardly, he was rather moved. Wan Qing Qing and him were similar in the sense that they would not take advantage of people.

“How many points do you have now? I remember Yun Yan had more than 200 points and ranked 13th on the scoreboard previously.” Duan Ling Tian was curious. He wondered if Yun Yan had collected more points than him.

Upon hearing Duan Ling Tian’s words, Wan Qing Qing checked her points in the Accumulative Point Jade. Her eyes widened in shock and disbelief when she saw her current points. Her current points had surpassed Duan Ling Tian’s points. “364 points!”

“Not bad.” Duan Ling Tian smiled faintly. “It seems like Yun Yan accumulated many points over the last two days. Unfortunately for him, his points became ours.”

“You would’ve made it into the top three if you had collected his points,” Wan Qing Qing said as she regarded Duan Ling Tian with a complicated expression. She knew it would be difficult for them to run into opponents like Yun Yan who had accumulated so many points in the middle realm of the Southern Heaven Ancient Realm. After all, even if one was incredibly strong, one still had to be lucky enough to run into opponents.

“Who knows? Maybe the next opponent we run into would have more points than Yun Yan?” Duan Ling Tian said lightly. Based on his nonchalant appearance, it was clear he did not care about the points that he had given to Wan Qing Qing.

Upon hearing these words, Wan Qing Qing’s eyes seemed to soften when she looked at Duan Ling Tian.

A commotion suddenly broke out when everyone saw the recent change on the scoreboard.

“Look at the 7th place on the scoreboard!”

“Heavens! Is this real?”

“How shocking!”

The elders and disciples from the Martial Battle Mansion discovered that apart from Wang Tai, a disciple, another one of the mansion’s disciples had also entered the top 10. Moreover, the person had taken over Duan Ling Tian’s place on the scoreboard; Duan Ling Tian had dropped from 7th to 8th place. The person who ranked 7th now was none other than the inner court disciple, Wan Qing Qing!

“How did Senior Sister Wan manage to rank 7th?” a disciple asked in shock.

An observant disciple exclaimed, “Look! Yun Yan, the core disciple of the Magic Cloud Mansion, who was ranked 10th has disappeared from the scoreboard. Senior Sister Wan must have eliminated him!”

“Yun Yan, the core disciple of the Magic Cloud Mansion?”

“If I’m not mistaken, he’s the strongest Ten Directions Celestial Duke in the Magic Cloud Mansion, right?”

“Although Senior Sister Wan is faster than Yun Yan, there’s no doubt Yun Yan is stronger than her. When they fought last month, neither could gain an advantage over the other so the fight was a draw. In such a short time, Senior Sister Wan is already capable of defeating him?”

“Perhaps, Yun Yan was injured when Senior Sister Wan ran into him? That would explain how she managed to get the upper hand…”

“Regardless, our Martial Battle Mansion now has two disciples who are ranked in the top ten!”

“This seems to be her highest ranking ever. It’s likely that she’ll be made a core disciple after this.”

The requirements to become a core disciple varied from Celestial Mansion to Celestial Mansion.

For example, the Profound Nether Mansion’s Zhou Hong Jie was a core disciple, but the Martial Battle Mansion’s Wan Qing Qing was only an inner court disciple even though she was stronger than Zhou Hong Jie. This was due to the bar that the Martial Battle Mansion’s Wang Tai had set. Although her speed was on par with Wang Tai’s speed, in other regards, she paled in comparison. It was inevitable that the higher-ups would compare her to Wang Tai. However, after her recent performance in the middle realm of the Southern Heaven Ancient Realm, it seemed likely that she might become the second core disciple in the Martial Battle Mansion who was below the stage of a Celestial King.

In contrast to the excitement in the Martial Battle Mansion, the atmosphere in the Magic Cloud Mansion was heavy and solemn.

The people present on the scene shifted their attention to Yun Yan as soon as he appeared so they had not seen the recent change on the scoreboard. It was also for this reason they assumed Yun Yan was eliminated by one of the top six Ten Directions Celestial Dukes in the middle realm of the Southern Heaven Ancient Realm. They were understandably shocked when they discovered he was eliminated by the Martial Battle Mansion’s Wan Qing Qing.

“Senior Yun Yan, is Wan Qing Qing really capable of eliminating you?”

“Yun Yan, Wan Qing Qing should be weaker than you, right? How’s it possible that she was able to eliminate you?”

The elders and disciples present were perplexed. They could not help but feel skeptical when they saw Wan Qing Qing had eliminated Yun Yan.

A wry smile appeared on Yun Yan’s face as he replied, “Well, Wan Qing Qing wouldn’t have been able to eliminate me if she were alone. I was eliminated by her and Duan Ling Tian!”
