Emperor’s Domination

“What kind of world will it be?” She asked.

“A world for regular living beings.” He smiled.

“I see.” She pondered carefully: “Will they be against the immortals?”

“Why would they?” He shook his head.

“I just can’t see how the immortals won’t be in charge.” She said.

“The judgment of heaven and earth.” He pointed at his heart: “They will be able to refuse the orders of immortals and deliver judgment.”

“Hmm…” She fell into silence again.

After a long while, she asked: “Is that a similar concept to the world’s heart?”

“No, because living beings wither first and then the immortals later, it is still a world of immortals.” He smiled.

“What about the high heaven?” She asked.

“The high heaven only cares that everything stays, it is emotionless.” He looked up.

“You wish to establish this judgment.” She understood his goal.

“Not me, it will be the living beings.” He said.

“But you must craft the initial prototype first.” She said.

“I have done what I should, the last thing is to take care of the remnant trash.” He said.

“And that’s when you leave, Teacher? It is coming faster than expected.” She said sentimentally.

“It is inevitable, it will be a world without immortals.” He said.

“But you’re the founder.” She said.

“That’s precisely why I must leave, for my answer too.” He said.

“You know the answer now.” She said.

“Right.” He stared at the sky and said: “The truth is that the answer has always been in my heart, I just couldn’t take the last step. Once I reach the end, that’s when it will be revealed.”

She had a sad expression.

“Don’t be silly, it won’t be too soon. At the very least, it will be after my battle with the villainous heaven.” He stroked her hair.

“Too soon.” She knew because she was the time controller.

“You’re right.” He said: “I thought the dao was endless during the worst struggles. Now, I’m somehow close to the end.”

“I still hope to be able to follow you, Teacher.” She said.

He grabbed her hands and said: “I worry about you the least out of everyone because you can overcome anything.”

“I will keep up.” She said.

“Then continue forward.” He kissed her forehead.

The two sat shoulder to shoulder, gazing into the distance.

“I have to take care of things.” He remarked after a while.

“You have to revive it?” She stared at the shrine in his hand.

“Not only that, I will leave this world in your hands.” He said.

“Me?” She found this surprising.

“Given your firm dao heart, this world will prosper once more.” He nodded.

“But I will leave eventually.” She said.

“I’m sure once you want to leave, everything will be just fine.” He said.

“Then I will not let you down, Teacher.” She took a deep breath and nodded solemnly.

He handed her the shrine before summoning the flame of the dao heart on the primordial tree. This was Golden Immortal’s ignited dao heart, untouchable for epochs. Not even Mang, who was a celestial immortal, could take it down.

However, Li Qiye did it effortlessly and lit up the shrine.

“The Gate of Wisdom isn’t like what people imagine it to be.” He said while holding the square shrine.

He placed it onto a boulder nearby that had been burnt to a crisp.

“Sense it, the heart of the people is the people. You are the people and the people are you. With the heart back, so will prosperity.” He said.

She closed her eyes and followed his direction.

“Buzz.” Her temporal eye fused with the dao heart emerged again.

“Badump.” A heart beat could be heard but instead of increasing in intensity, it slowed down. At this time, the beat became indiscernible but was in tune with the temporal dao heart.

When it sounded again, they were in perfect harmony. This caused two different hearts hiding deep in the river of time and space to resonate as well. They started beating at an incalculable pace.

All three parts of the world’s heart was activated with the help of the woman’s temporal dao heart.

This caused a pair of eyes to open somewhere in Stygian and illuminated the area.

“The world’s heart, it’s real. So much effort only for it to appear randomly, so it wasn’t in the Gate of Wisdom at all.” The voice was ecstatic.

Meanwhile, the new hearts continued to beat. Regular cultivators and even overlords couldn’t notice it, only immortals in Stygian.
