Emperor’s Domination

“Immortals are inevitable with time. It’s just that some worlds do not allow their existence or have limits.” Li Qiye said: “The key still comes down to whether the immortals can stay strong.”

“And if there are no immortals in Heavenrealm?” She asked.

“Then overlords will be the ones doing the devouring.” He smiled: “Of course, it is still better not to have immortals. Alas, no one can stop this development so the focus has to be on the dao heart. Stygian is the best and worst example of corruption, it had happened too many times before.”

“Destruction and devoured.” She said.

“Destruction is a cycle, the world can return. Devouring stops it altogether.” He said.

“The fear of death is just too strong.” She said softly. Cultivators and more specifically, immortals, wanted to do everything to live longer.

The fear and greed caused them to fall into the darkness.

“How about true immortals?” She asked while staring at him.

“Heavenrealm might permit fake immortals but true ones must leave.” Li Qiye said.

“Only the high heaven is above.” She said.

“Yes, above Heavenrealm is the end.” He said: “There’s no world above.”

“Teacher…” She became sentimental.

“Silly girl.” He smiled and patted her shoulder: “Becoming a true immortal is unprecedented, leaving is what must be done.”

“I know.” She understood the inevitable outcome: “I was lucky to have spent time with you back in the nine worlds.”

“Anyone with a strong dao heart was fortunate to be born in the nine worlds. Of course, they could also be considered as unlucky.” He said.

“Because of how barren it was?” She asked.

“Yes, the same for the thirteen continents too.” He said: “Heavenrealm has too many geniuses. Those from the lower realms are just regular cultivators in comparison.”

“Right.” She agreed.

“It’s one thing not to know, but anyone from the nine worlds will become jealous after finding out the truth. The ones born here have incredible talent. The imperial realm is easily within reach.” He said.

“Too many emperors to count compared to the nine worlds.” She nodded.

“But our geniuses are the best of the best.” He smiled: “You all had a hard beginning but upon reaching Heavenrealm, your past struggles became the foundation for success. It is easier for you all to sever karma and reach the shore, so despite being newcomers, you will surpass them.”

“The nine worlds build the seeds for the dao heart?” She asked.

“Yes, it was a great place for the dao heart to grow.” He said.

“So in a sense, we’re the chosen ones.” She joked.

“I don’t know whether the villainous heaven favors you all, but only one race can compare to your group.” He said.

“Which one?” She asked.

“The primordials. Unfortunately, they never cared about the dao heart. Otherwise, they would all be on the other shore now.” He said.

“It’s that easy for them?” She asked.

“Because they were the first, so many innate advantages. Nearly impossible to kill and can obtain rebirth too. It came too easily for them, their downfall.” He said.

“It’s a good thing, so others can catch up.” She said.

“If it wasn’t for the villainous heaven’s initiative, the world might be very different.” He shook his head.

“The world will be different soon.” She said.

“Yes, an unprecedented one.” He said softly.

“And not one of immortals.” She said.

“There might be immortals in the future world, but it won’t be the immortals’ world.” He smiled.
