I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1828: 24.89 Sixth Violet Star - Explosives

With the Long Clan and Killer Pavilion suffering from another set of intruders, both factions had been well prepared this time. But they also didn’t expect that this time, the plan of Pei Jin would be much more sinister than the first one. He commanded death soldiers to intrude into the two factions as before this time not to massacre them with people, he used human bombs to cause destruction to both factions.

At the Killer Pavilion...

Another group of death soldiers had come to attack them. With former elf king Vega overseeing them, the attack from the other side had long been anticipated. Beside him, an assassin called First was commanding the members of the Pavilion while listening to the instructions of Vega who is the temporary leader of their organization.

First said, ”Lord Vega, the people had been despatched. They would be able to block these intruders and capture them per the request of the current marshal.”

However, unlike the carefree expression of First, the former elf king is unexpectedly frowning as if sensing something that makes him uncomfortable. At least the elementals that are only visible to himself are telling him to be careful and that there is danger lurking. He frowns upon hearing the warnings the wind is telling him so.

Vega spoke, ”First, something is not right. I do not think the Pei Clan’s little devil will be stupid enough to use the same plan. Night massacres and assassinations are only useful when it was done secretly. However, we already knew and expected the next round of attack. What do you think he will do this time?”

”Hm? Use numbers to overwhelm the group?” First said.

The former Elf King, Vega said, ”Not a bad suggestion but that will take too many people and it would get the attention of the people from the city. Do you think he will be willing to do it?”

First thought for a moment and thought that this possibility is a bit too high and thought of another plan that will not require numbers but can kill a lot of people and his face turned pale at this possibility.

Gulps~

”L-Lord Vega, are you thinking that maybe they will use bombs this time?” First asked.

The former Elf King, Vega nodded his head with a serious look and said, ”Not only will they not use ordinary bombs but most likely the most cruel way to use it. Human bomb.”

”Human Bombs?! Then...” First was shocked as he saw the incoming attacks from the intruders that were about to reach their gates.

The former Elf King commanded, ”Tell the others to retreat. Don’t let them get caught by the enemies and if possible kill them from faraway!”

”Yes, Lord Vega!” First disappeared from beside Vega as he stood at the highest peak of the Killer Pavilion.

Seeing the people panicking after hearing the voice of their Deputy leader, First. They scramble to run back inside and securely lock the gates. However, it was already too late. The death soldiers who looked like lunatics are running closer towards them and failed to lock the gates. The assassin called ’First’ saw the madmen getting closer to them and some even jumped towards them without care.

First was only halfway to blend with the shadows when one of the madmen jumped on him.

His thoughts at that moment was, ’Dammit! This is why I told my boss I don’t want to stay behind! I’m dead!’

First, who had thought that he would be caught up with the explosion only heard the sounds of something fast moving and a loud explosion coming from the space above their heads. Though he had closed his eyes at the last moment, when he felt no pain all over his body he opened his eyes to check. He was surprised to see a wall made of tree branches and on top of it is the dead body of the intruders stabbed through their bodies before exploding above their heads.

BOOOM!

””Holy shit! Is this human fireworks?” First mumbles at the scene.

Not far from him his subordinates couldn’t help but frown and felt their stomach churning from the scene. In fact a few of them had already puked. Even though they are assassins, the way they kill is cleaner and neater than this. This is no different than having no corpse to bury.

First exclaims, ”Dammit! The mastermind is truly sinister. He doesn’t care about life at all. ”

He saw the other assassin dumbfounded by the scene and was frozen stiff. He couldn’t help but scold them.

”What the hell are you looking for? Retreat and only attack from a distance!” First command which instantly woke people up.

They ran back to the pavilion and saw something glowing from flying above their heads down to the intruders not far from them. It was the former elf king Vega finally filling out his main weapon or the major weapon elves are good at. Their bows... For an elf king like Vega who is loved by elements there is no need to use actual arrows, they can use natural energy to make it. Once he pulled his bow and gathered energy upon release countless arrows made of energy flew and fell like rain towards its target. In this case, the targets are the human bomb running towards the pavilion.

A rain of energy arrows with glowing green shade fell and targeted the intruders. Some die on the spot, some trip over others and the bomb in them all explodes causing a chain of explosions. It caused too many explosions which was seen all over the city but in the end this action taken by the former elf king had once again saved the Killer Pavilion though the gates are a bit wrecked.

At the highest point of the pavilion, the bow in Vega’s hand had disappeared, seeing that no more intruders were coming. Vega finally felt annoyed.

”That stupid brat, Xie Yun. Once he returns I need him to compensate me with a big reward. How come I feel like I have drawn the shortest stick?” The Elf King grumbles.

—

While the situation in the Killer Pavilion was great, except for destroyed gates and some injured ones who failed to avoid the first explosion, no one died at least. This is thanks to Vega using trees to prop up the intruders to the sky before they exploded. The same situation was happening in the Long Clan. Sadly, they are quite unfortunate. Most soldiers are the type that fought in close combat and they didn’t expect that Pei Jin’s cruelty was to the point that he is willing to use other people’s life just to reap the other’s life like this.

The human bombs seem to be effective towards the people of the Long Clan adding the fact that they were caught off guard a quarter of the soldiers under the Long Clan had perished under this attack. Only when they successfully found a way to block them with a barrier that the death count in their class had lessened a lot. Even the current marshal was badly wounded for standing at the forefront and his brother, Long Kian, upon saving him from an ambush was badly wounded. He lost almost half of his body.

Long Kian’s face, half of it was burned and even lost that sight. His left arm had exploded leaving only a bit of his flesh, as for his left foot, half of the flesh was burned exposing his bone. If not for the healing pills the seniors had left for them to use while they were gone, Long Kian would have died on the spot. Moreover, like the Mu Patriarch, these pills can only be taken one at a time, and it barely saved his last breath. He had now fallen into a coma.

In the marshal’s office, Long Tian himself was covered in bandages and his wounds were unexpectedly turning black. That human bomb was not simply bombs but something even more sinister as it seems to possess poison as well. It was as if the explosion wasn’t enough, even if one survived from the explosion the poison will not let go its target slowly corroding their flesh.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

The old butler entered the office to report to the marshal. He was told to tally the death count, the numbers who were injured and those who had survived.

”You may enter,” said Long Tian as he was done talking to Mu Liao who had headed to the borders.

Mu Liao said before their call ended, ”I will add your situation to the letter to be sent to the old marshal. You... You should take a rest. I will find a way to resolve that poison in you.”

Click!

The butler entered and looked grim as he saw that even the marshal was affected by the ambush. The other lord, Long Kian’s injuries were even more fatal as he blocked most of the explosion for his brother.

”How is the situation in the clan?” The marshal, Long Tian, asked.
