I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1653: 22.39 Third Red Star - Reason

The confident smile on the mermaid kingʼs gorgeous face made him look arrogant, yet simultaneously, it made others unable to deny his strength. After all, he is the king of mermaids, who made even the second prince and the noble Shaka Clan what they are now. However, now he looks so friendly and harmless. If not for the fact that his eyes remain unchanged, they would really think he is an approachable person just by how playful he is.

During dinner, the group had a conversation about the changes on the sea. All of the power in the Federation had gathered in this hall. If they wanted to talk about what to do in the situation where the sea tried to swallow land, only they had the power to do something about it.

Colonel Lou Wuye asked, ”Lord Hei Anjing, will the water fall on the land tonight?”

”Yes. Yue, Yang, give me a live broadcast of the sea area,” said the Mermaid King.

[Yes, Lord Hei (Master)!]

System Yue and System Yang in their avatar forms materialized and created a huge holographic screen that shows what is currently happening by the sea.

”It should start falling by now,” said the Mermaid King.

The young lieutenant or his mother didnʼt question the existence of the floating little moon and little sun that not only can talk but also project such a huge holographic screen. They didnʼt ask; to be precise, they donʼt have to ask. They were shocked by the projections shown before their eyes. With only the moonʼs illumination in the dark sky, everyone clearly hears the sea monsterʼs sound from the video.

Gudong~

This is the sound made by the whales, and everyone heard it with their own eyes, and as if hearing the command the sound possessed, the tall wall of sea finally started falling and a huge tsunami hit the seashore. Each wave was taller than any of the houses by the shore. They even watch those people who didnʼt want to leave their houses running for their lives at the last minute only to be swallowed whole by the merciless sea waves.

Each wave had the power to destroy a house or a building. They had even watched as the tallest lighthouse by the seashore snapped into two as the waves hit it directly. It looks like tofu hit by something light and simple. Madam Sheena, who isnʼt used to seeing people die so easily like this, made her terrified. She realized that humans are truly nothing against the power of nature.

Hei Anjing noticed that some humans didnʼt leave the seashore until the tsunami hit and commented, ”Hm? You didnʼt evacuate everyone?”

”Those are greedy ones who didnʼt want to leave their houses and wanted to take over someone elseʼs land,” said General Ye as he fed his wife some shrimp he peels with his own hands.

The Mermaid King remains calm in the face of the deaths of humans before him. He commented as he ate the shrimp his husband fed him, ”Humans truly die for their greed. Itʼs the same no matter what world we are in.”

”That wonʼt change. They will not be called humans without greed. Humans who donʼt have it are called saints!” said His Majesty Nokto.

Greene, Lang, and Xiong had actually witnessed such a scene multiple times while working on the other worlds in the lower plane. They had seen it so much that they got used to it. Before they can still have sympathy or pity, but as much time passes and they witness it as a cycle, they become numb to it.

While Madama Sheena felt pity for the lives that were lost in the tsunami. Lieutenant Sirius instead felt that it served those people right. After all, the general and his comrades had tried to convince them multiple times a day, but they still chose to stay in that place. Now they can only pay for the choice they have made.

Madam Sheena asked, ”King of Mermaids, can they still be saved? You can save them, right? Itʼs the sea! Thatʼs your domain!”

”Mom, stop it! Lord Hei is not responsible for their lives, especially since they are humans!” said the young lieutenant.

As expected, the mermaid king had spoken, but his friendly aura from before had completely disappeared. ”It is true that I can save them, but... If I were you, would you save these people who almost dragged your loved one to die with them? If so, then you are such a hypocrite!”

The truthful words of the mermaid king were like knives that stabbed Madam Sheenaʼs heart. She realized that not only the general but also her son was in that location before the tsunami fell. Like she wanted, they tried to save these selfish people and stayed in that area and never returned to the main city on time. Would they have drowned when the tsunami hit and died together with that group of shameless people?

Madam Sheena said with her head bowed down, ”Iʼm sorry. I was wrong!”

”Sigh~ whatever~,” said Hei Anjing as a smile was once again on his fake face. This is still as fake as always, though itʼs beautiful to be seen.

”Actually, it was already too late for them. The sea is no longer safe for you humans,” said Hei Anjing.

Lieutenant Shaka asked, ”What do you mean, Lord Hei?”

”You, Yang, show the image within the sea,” commanded Hei Anjing, the mermaid king.

The two systems didnʼt question their task, and finally the screen showed what was happening in the sea that was raging towards the land. They were shocked by the sheer numbers of sea monsters hidden within the tsunami. They massacred all humans in the water. Madam Sheenaʼs stomach churned, and she immediately covered her mouth when she felt nauseous.

URK~

”Lieutenant, send your mother to the guest room. You know the way, then return here to have a meeting,” said General Ye.

After nodding his head in agreement, Sirius helped his mother to the bathroom and sent her to the guest room to rest. By the time that he came back to the hall, the dinner had been replaced by tea and snacks. Colonel Lou just looked at him while Yun Ming smiled at him like a kind little brother.

”Take a seat. Weʼve been waiting for you,” said Yun Ming.

Royal Knight Xion was analyzing the videos that were currently happening in the sea. The massacre scene from before had been replaced by an organized scene of sea monsters gathering in troops. Each hologram screen shows the situation at different parts of the oceans, and each troop was led by a large sea monster.

”It seems these sea troops were led by various sea kings. But why are they attacking the land at this time?” said Royal Knight Xion.

Yun Ming spoke, ”Sea Kings are considered nobles of the seas. The only one who can order them to make a move is...”

”Father… The Sea God and the Emperor of all beings in the sea, the Mermaid Emperor,” said the Mermaid King, Hei Anjing.

Lieutenant Sirius asked, ”Can Lord Hei talk to your father? Maybe he would.”

”He wonʼt listen. That man doesnʼt care about races. He only wanted to destroy the world,” said the mermaid king, rendering the young lieutenant speechless.

He was shocked to hear the answer of a being that is called the God of the Sea wanting to destroy the world. He couldnʼt help but ask the question.

”Why does he want to destroy this world?” asked Lieutenant Shaka.

The Mermaid King looked at the young lieutenant and said, ”If chaos were meant to befall into this world, that even he, the God of Sea, can handle, and the only way to eliminate all those beings is the destruction of the world, what would you choose?”

”Are you saying that he wasnʼt intentionally targeting the humans, but the world itself? Would that mean we can save ourselves by escaping through space?” asked the young lieutenant.

General Ye said, ”It was already too late. The humans should have escaped before he decided to attack the land. He signed the treaty to give humans the time to leave. Since none of you chose to leave this star, you canʼt leave now, no matter what.”

”W-Why is that?” asked His Majesty Nokto. Find more to read at My Virtual Library Empire

Hei Anjing said, ”Because the reason why he wanted to destroy this world had finally awakened and mingled with the humans. No one knows which among them was ʼitʼ and the God of the Sea was willing to wrong a million just to kill those rotten apples in the mix.”

”Then what about us?” asked Royal Knight Lang.

The God of Destruction said, ”I gave you my blessing. They wonʼt dare to touch you. But you must be careful of those rotten apples. They might target you. Thatʼs why I told you to leave already!”

”Thatʼs also fine. We can just stay by your side until you decide to leave,” said His Majesty Nokto, who is the soul of Greene, the only friend of the God of Destruction.

Hei Anjing said, ”Stay in the castle. I am one of the main targets of those things. The reason the mermaid king appeared on the land was because I am my fatherʼs bait.”

”WHAT DID YOU SAY!?” Almost everyone in the room was shocked by this revelation; even the God of Void didnʼt expect this reason.

The general exclaimed and asked, ”Is this true, Jingʼer?”
