I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 153: 6.14 Third Green Star - Bloody Christmas

The world had started to change after Christmas Eve had passed. As if the world it had gone to quiet under the sky of the blood moon, every living thing had fallen asleep. Whether they were inside their house sleeping or eating dinner conversely outside their house walking around on a date or just going to a nearby convenience store on whim, every living thing including the animals had fallen asleep.

Under the erosion of the virus from the meteorites, no living things were spared. This is a trial which would separate those who are lucky and unlucky. The former would be able to awaken as an ability user meanwhile the latter would wake up as a zombie. No one is spared except for one.

Near the sea at a certain district, Ximen Xueya after visiting the Generalʼs mansion had finally returned back to his seaside villa. Within the lands near the seashore only one villa is covered in a thick dome of ice preventing anything from entering inside. The ice is invulnerable to any kinds of attacks even against fire even though it is the weakness of the Ice element.

This is because Xueyaʼs Ice attribute is the purest and considered eternal even in the upper realm. Eternal Ice, nothing could melt it except of itʼs contrast which is called the Infernal Flame.

---

Eternal Ice is a special Ice Attribute that only those with Mo Bloodline could wield. This is also the reason for their initial coldness. On the other hand Infernal Flame is something that can only be wielded with those with purest and evilest bloodline of Demon race. The Evil Demon God race is called Ye Gui. Ye from the word Huangye which means wild and Gui from the word Mogui which means devil.

According to the records, the God of Origin, Siwang had cast away Ye Gui after attempting to harm his wife, Baojun, from the God System. Ever since then no one knows where that race had hidden themselves. Ye Gui is one of the races that was created by Siwang before he got to meet his current partner.

Clearly the former Siwang, like the meaning of his name, is completely indifferent towards other entities. He had no care and had no interest. He just wants to entertain himself. Ye Gui is a race he made which brings death to many other things.

Because his mindset had changed from indifference to being family oriented, the Ye Gui race couldnʼt accept their creatorʼs change. In an attempt to return him to his indifferent self, theyʼve tried to target his wife and his wifeʼs family. But despite their attempts no one had fully succeeded in killing someone of Baojunʼs bloodline. After all the Mo Bloodline is considered an immortal bloodline and no one could really harm them outside their family except for one.

There are only two ways to kill a bloodline of Mo. One is when someone with Mo bloodline attempts to kill his own kin. Only those of Mo could kill someone from Mo Clan. The other option is more difficult to achieve. There are only a few which could be considered as outsiders to become a part of the Mo Clan, which is to successfully be chosen as their other half. But the requirements from doing so is impossible to achieve.

No one really knows how a person with Mo Bloodline could fall in love with someone. After all they are a bloodline that is innately born with no emotions and an ice cold heart. For the people who ended up being chosen as a Moʼs other half, no one really knows the criteria for it. Comparing the current other halves of some Mo family members. Their personalities, standing and background are all varying to each one. To become a Mo memberʼs other half, the others say itʼs chosen by fate while the rest say it is random.

Moreover, just based on how Siwang is overprotective of his own wife, the other halves of Mo family members have the same overprotectiveness towards their partners. It is almost impossible to tempt those other halves in killing their partners. You could only get yourself killed if you tried doing so.

The Ye Gui is said to be the only race that had complete control over Infernal Flames, this is also why they were considered the only clan that could harm people for the Mo Clan. If a member of this race was chosen by a Mo Clan member as another half and that person attempted to harm their partner. The death of the Mo Clan member cannot be undone.

Back to reality.

Ximen Xueya upon returning to the seaside villa had gone straight to the masterʼs bedroom where his son was sleeping. Like everyone else in this world, he and his son were forced to undergo the trial of awakening. Xueya had no problem and instantly converted that virus erosion to successfully awakened as an ability user.

Aside from his original Ice and Space Dimension, his current vessel had awaken special attributed ability which is under the category of Mental Type ability. This ability is called Kotodama. Kotodama is a magic attribute that allows the user to manipulate their surroundings through speech.

Upon entering the masterʼs bedroom, Xueya had seen Zhi Yue in his human form staring at his nephew who was sleeping peacefully on the bed. Normally those who undergo the awakening would suffer in their sleep with high fever during the whole awakening process but who let Ximen Chinoʼs main element to be Ice.

With the blessing and love of Ice attribute, his body cools down on its own. This is the reason the childʼs process of awakening is through deep yet peaceful sleep.

Zhi Yue immediately noticed his hostʼs return.

”Sire, the young master had been asleep ever since sire had taken his leave a few hours ago. He should be awakening soon. There is no discomfort during his awakening.” reported Zhi Yue.

Xueya nodded at Yue who returned to his moo avatar form as soon as his host went home. It is normally forbidden for a system accompanied by his host to use their real form. It is as a rule that the systemʼs real form is sealed during the whole time his host is doing their task in every world.

But for some reason the heavenly laws turned a blind eye on Zhi Yue breaking that rule. There are no problems with him returning to his human form as long as his host allowed him to do so. Must be because the heavenly laws of this world are considering his host real identity.

Moreover lately the hostʼs memories are starting to return, his demeanor and personality starts to merge as his memories come back to him. The laws of this star must have felt the overbearing pressure his hostʼs soul emits. Afraid of offending this dangerous figure, the heavenly laws could only turn a blind eye towards him.

Xueya took over Zhi Yueʼs place and sat beside his slumbering son. He could hear his rhythmical breathing and gently rustled the childʼs hair with a tender gaze on his face.

Xueya said, ”When my baby wakes up I think he would enjoy this world as he wanted. On my way back, Iʼve seen tons of undead transforming after failing their trials.”

[That is good but... Host, would you be alright? I mean those disgusting creatures... you would be facing them in close quarters.]

Hearing this, Xueyaʼs face turned dark as he remembered the sight of seeing those moving corpses standing up like broken dolls. Staggering as they walk with their bodies full of rotten flesh and scent of decay. His face slowly paling upon recollection. He could only lightly cover his mouth to prevent himself from hurling.

”Tsk! You made me remember something extremely disgusting, Yue~”

Just based on his host current appearance and that sudden cold tone in his voice, clearly Ximen Xueyaʼs mood is beyond bad. Remembering his host OCDic temper, he could only suggest a few things that may lessen his hostʼs bad mood swings.

[Host, Iʼve checked through the System Mall and found a few things that might help with your problem. There is a necklace called Angelʼs Halo which would constantly purify the air within the meter surrounding you from all angles. Then gloves made from holy butterfly silk which rejects all kinds of poison, filth and dirt of all kinds. Aldo shoes which expel anything it touches as long itʼs made of dirty materials like mud and dirty blood or whatever. It could be exchanged with your redemption ticket. Buying one each would cost two tickets but buying wholesale, three of each can be exchanged for five tickets. Which one the host wants to redeemed?]

The suggestion of System Yue made Xueyaʼs tanzanite orbs glow with clusters. ”Exchange! I want the second option. Two adult sizes and one child size!!!” he didnʼt hesitate to give his five redemption tickets.

[Exchange successful! Thank you for your patronage. The host no longer had any redemption tickets for this world. The items exchanged for the tickets have been delivered to the host.]

After a bright light appeared inside the room, 3 pairs of necklace, gloves and shoes appeared once the light had faded. Two adult sizes and one child size as Xueya requested. Seeing the useful items that would keep him and his son clean the whole journey made Xueya extremely happy.

Xueya had temporarily forgotten that he was angry at his husband and instantly grabbed Cao Junyeʼs part and once again teleported back to the mansion and passed these things to the old butler to be passed to his master. He made sure to warn the old butler not to tell his master that those three things were from Xueya and that the old butler had to think of an excuse for him instead.

After a while he returned home like he did nothing. Xueya happily gives his baby a kiss on his forehead after keeping those things in his space and went down to the kitchen to make dinner. Their lives inside the villa are as peaceful as before while outside the barrier few undead were scattered around walking aimlessly like mindless fools. But the number isnʼt as excessive as that of the capital. There are only a few tourists spending their vacation to play at the sea.

25th of December

The silence in the crowd had only remained before the sun had risen. Once morning had fully arisen, not only the ability users but also the zombies had woken up from their dreams. At 6 a.m. in the morning the world had finally ended. Zombies started moving, the massacre and flesh eating festival had begun. Some careless and unlucky ability users lose their lives when they wake up only to see a zombie jump on them.

At the street the sound of cars colliding and crashing can be heard. Screams and cries for help were echoing in the middle of the crowded city. Some rotten zombies started feasting on the nearest living thing, their bloodthirsty nature and cannibalism had been at peak the moment the trial had ended.

Hell had finally come to earth. The crowd street had been filled with chaos. Even if some of the police officers tried to continue doing their duties of saving civilians, lots of them still died, got eaten and turned into zombies.

AAAAHHHHH!!!

RUN! ITʼS ZOMBIES!!

THE END OF THE WORLD!!

DONʼT BITE ME!!

ARRGHH!!!

This scene of carnage, gore and chaos happened all over the world. Now the special occasion called Christmas had become a massacre party for the zombies. The real Bloody Christmas had begun.

Generalʼs Mansion

Cao Junye groggily opened his eyes. His head exploded in pain and the crashing sounds burst through his mind. He knitted his brows together as he felt the throbbing pain in his temples. After squeezing it a few times, the pain slowly fades.

The sound of crashing, almost endless firing guns suddenly entered his ears but he ignored it. The general woke up instantly with extreme vigilance in his surroundings.

He looked around him and saw that he was in his room but before he lost consciousness he was supposed to be somewhere within his office waiting for the end of the world to arrive.

Then he suddenly felt dizzy and his body felt like it was boiling. In the last moment before he fell into a coma he dreamed that he saw Xueya reaching out to him.

The general was now fully awakened by the thoughts that his missing person had returned. Looking around his surroundings he tried to spot that personʼs figure but  he was disappointed. There was no one else inside the room except for him. He was once again saddened by his expectations not being fulfilled. He could only miss his beloved.

But the general vaguely remembers that he was definitely in his office before he black out. To think he would suddenly wake up in his own bedroom. Plainly means that someone had brought him over the bed without him knowing.

He turned his head to the side and saw a pitcher which is still half full with strawberry juice. Checking the pitcher, he felt that the juice was left cold for him to drink. This is a kind of sweet drink that only his wife and son enjoys.

There is an inkling in his mind that says that Ximen Xueya had indeed come over before he lost his consciousness. To check on it, he could only stand up to clean himself and check the mansion and subdivision.

Cao Junye was about to remove his clothes when suddenly someone entered his room carrying a small basin with a towel in it. He met the eyes of his old butler which was with him during his whole childhood.

Old butler Wu exclaimed, ”Childe! You are finally awake!”

”Uncle Wu. How is the situation outside the mansion?” asked Cao Junye.

Cao Junye had dispersed the servants of his place and left only this old butler in front of him to remain in the mansion. This is because he needs to prepare for the incoming apocalypse. Just one person to stay with him in the mansion is enough. Thankfully the old man had passed his trial and didnʼt turn into a zombie.

”Report. 80 of 150 soldiers had sadly turned to a zombie. Those who had awakened as an ability user had... eliminated those who were turned. Before Childe had woken up the lead position was temporarily handled by Lieutenant Wang Lei. Those who were bitten were shot down while those who were scratched were quarantined for 7 hours to check whether they would turn as well.

Among the 70 soldiers, 30 had successfully awakened an ability while the rest passed the trial but unable to awaken an ability. The situation in the territory is stable. Lieutenant Wang had handled the things well. They were waiting for the Child to wake up.” reported the old butler.

Cao Junyeʼs expression turned cold when he heard that more than half of his people had been turned. Thankfully the situation was handled well while he is in slumber. Then he once again remembered that vague scene of Ximen Xueya appeared in the last moment before he fell unconscious.

”Uncle Wu did... Did someone else enter my office? Who brought me back to the bed room?” asked Cao Junye but he could feel his heart beating with presumption that he might not be dreaming when he saw Xueya.

The Old butler replied without flaws on his face, ”No one had entered the Masterʼs office. It was this old man who brought the Master to his bedroom just after this old man had completed his trial.”

Once the general heard this answer the light within his eyes had turned dull. His assumptions were proven wrong.

Cao Junye asked, ”I see. Anything else?”

Seeing this the old servant could only sighed in his heart. Even though he had served the Cao Family for generations, the promise he had made with Master Ximen in exchange of saving his old life cannot be forgotten. He could only bite his tongue and lie to his general about this question as Master Ximen wished.

But then he remembered those three things that Master Ximen had asked him to be passed to his general. Since he was told to make an excuse on his own, the old butler made an ambiguous reason for someone appearing to give those things away.

”There is something. Childe, someone had left three things in this old manʼs room. A letter was left saying to pass the three things to Childe.” said the old butler.

Cao Junyeʼs eyes were once again full of life. ”Where are the things? Bring it to me this instance!”

”Y-Yes! Right away!” replied the old butler.

Cao Junye watched as his butler took his leave in a hurry. The words his butler had spoken made him happy without a reason.
