The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1579: Chapter 1596: The Scandal of Nangong Yaoling and Qin Yi (1)

Just after returning to the company, I was summoned by the Young Master. Could it be... the Young Master knows something?

”Get in here!” came a low voice from inside.

Qin Yi had no choice but to brace himself and push open the door.

He saw Nangong Yaoling standing by the window, his tall figure turned away from him.

Qin Yi quickly said, ”Young Master... you were looking for me?”

Nangong Yaoling didn’t speak.

He turned around and cast a dark glance at Qin Yi.

Qin Yi promptly lowered his head.

He walked to the desk, sat down, and rested his long legs with black leather shoes on the tabletop.

”You’ve gotten bold now, haven’t you? Making decisions behind my back?”

Qin Yi blushed and couldn’t help but bow his head even lower.

He got caught after all...

Originally, he didn’t inform the Young Master about visiting the production company. He thought, if the matter got settled, if he could ease the relationship between Madam and the Young Master, then perhaps the Young Master’s mood would improve.

Because for consecutive days, all the executives in the company were in hot water. Not only were they scolded at meetings time and again, but even the Young Master himself had heavy dark circles each time he came to the company.

He didn’t look as spirited as he did a few days ago.

Although he seemed to try hard to act indifferent, having been by his side all these years, how could Qin Yi not understand the Young Master’s mind?

But now, not only did things not work out, they were completely botched...

”Young Master, I’m sorry... I...”

”Did she agree to sign?” Nangong Yaoling coldly asked.

Embarrassment flashed across Qin Yi’s face.

”No...”

”No?” Nangong Yaoling raised an eyebrow, his face instantly turning very unpleasant.

”Madam refused to sign with that company...” Qin Yi said this with a forced effort, as it was really hard to speak up.

He worked hard for half a day, got caught by the Young Master, and ended up with such a result.

Nangong Yaoling clenched his right hand tightly, the knuckles cracking loudly.

Qin Yi hastily said, emotionally, ”Young Master, I’m sorry... I really didn’t expect this outcome... I... Punish me...”

”Five hundred push-ups,” Nangong Yaoling said through gritted teeth.

Qin Yi: ”...”

”Right now.”

Qin Yi took a deep breath; five hundred push-ups were nothing, but doing them here, if other brothers and colleagues saw it... It would be so embarrassing...

But he had no choice; he made a mistake, angered the Young Master, and this was already a very light punishment.

He quickly stepped back, promptly assumed a swift and proper posture, got down on the ground, and started.

”One... Two...”

”Single hand.”

Qin Yi: ”...”

Cold sweat emerged on his forehead, so he had no choice but to tuck one hand away and do it single-handedly.

”Louder.”

”One! Two! Three! Four...!”

”Louder still.”

”Five—! Six—! Seven—! Eight—!” Instantly, the office was filled with loud counting, each shout echoing louder than the last.

The office door was open, so people in the corridor could easily hear the counting from this side.

Before long, the entire hallway was buzzing with whispered gossip.

”That’s Mr. Qin’s voice...”

”What’s he doing...”

”Yeah, his voice is so loud... It’s like he’s training... So funny...”

”Is the president in there too? Could it be...”

Suddenly, the corridor was filled with the secretaries’ and assistants’ suggestive chuckles.

Nangong Yaoling’s face looked extremely unpleasant.

Qin Yi’s expression wasn’t much better, and in no time,
