The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1566: Chapter 1583: Only Mommy for Me 3

In these three years, she spent one year pregnant and taking care of newly born Casey. After Casey was a month old, with Tang Yan’s help, she started learning scriptwriting.

Originally, she studied acting, but after experiencing so much and having a son, Xiaonuan no longer wanted to continue being an actress. Moreover, the entertainment industry is always complex, and she felt that her temperament was sometimes not really suitable for it.

She is the kind of person who, if possible, would prefer to avoid conflicts with others.

But the entertainment industry is a mixed bag, where even if you don’t provoke others, they might still provoke you.

In contrast, she felt that working behind the scenes in scriptwriting seemed more suitable for her.

So, in the past two years, she has been juggling learning and taking care of her son.

Since Tang Yan spent most of these two years back home, sometimes he would visit them, but after all, he also had his own matters to handle. However, the place where she lived and the university where she studied were arranged with Tang Yan’s help.

For this, she was truly very grateful to him.

When Casey turned one, Xiaonuan went to school, and during the daytime, there would be Sister Li to help take care of him. Sister Li was her neighbor and an overseas Chinese; her husband had died of stomach cancer years ago, and her son was abroad. She was alone in America. Originally, Sister Li was her neighbor, and when she had free time, she would come to see little Casey. Many of Xiaonuan’s insights into educating her son were learned from Sister Li.

Later on, seeing that Casey really liked Sister Li and she was very good at taking care of children—her son was a journalist working in South Africa, and at her age, finding a job could be rather awkward, so she relied on welfare and the meager living allowance her son sent her to make ends meet—Xiaonuan decided to straightforwardly ask her to help take care of little Casey during the day.

Xiaonuan paid her twice the amount of an ordinary maid, and Sister Li was very grateful, so she cared for little Casey more attentively. Xiaonuan was relieved.

In the evenings when she came back from school, she could take care of him herself.

Moreover, Casey was very cute and lovable, and usually, some kind neighbors would come over to help take care of him.

In Chinatown, Casey had become quite a little celebrity over the years.

Many neighbors had photos with little Casey on their phones.

Xiaonuan had always been very grateful; if it weren’t for some kind neighbors, she really wouldn’t know how she would manage by herself in such an unfamiliar environment.

After all, the United States is a very open country where no one ridicules a single mother. The overseas Chinese here are all kind and supportive, and there is never any gossip behind people’s backs.

Perhaps this is one reason many single mothers choose to come here.

This time, Xiaonuan chose to return home, firstly to take Casey back to see the country; another reason was that a script she wrote had reached a verbal agreement with a talent agency, which was ready to sign her work. If possible, the book she wrote had a chance to be adapted into a movie.

This company was recommended by her professor at the American university and was somewhat well-known back home. When she received the news, she was really excited, and she heard that the other party would offer very high compensation.

Actually, another important reason why she decisively decided to return home was because she was running out of money...
