The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1447: Chapter 1464: Greedily Savoring Her Scent

The car smoothly drove along the highway.

”Ugh... urgh...” Xia Xiaonuan, sitting in the passenger seat, let out a muffled groan and suddenly shifted.

Shaochen glanced at her, and his expression changed.

Without delay, he checked the road conditions and stopped the car by the side.

He pulled Xiaonuan out of the car, and she ran to a nearby trash bin and vomited.

Shaochen fetched water from the car and handed it to her.

”Are you alright?” he asked, frowning with worry.

Xiaonuan raised her eyes slightly, looking at the man before her. Under the streetlight, his handsome face appeared gentle and affectionate.

She asked, somewhat dazed, ”Is it you... Why are you here?” Her voice was hoarse and obscure as she spoke.

”Yes, it’s me...” Shaochen replied helplessly, ”If I weren’t here, you’d have no idea where you are... Why did you drink so much? It must be so uncomfortable for you.”

Xiaonuan looked at him and suddenly changed expression, turned around, and vomited out everything she’d eaten today in one go.

After rinsing her mouth, her throat felt dry and sore; she gulped down over half a bottle of water.

Only after drinking did her throat feel a bit more comfortable.

She tossed the water bottle into the trash can.

She wanted to turn, but her body swayed, and she staggered back, nearly falling.

Shaochen stood under the streetlamp nearby, smoking. Seeing this, he quickly threw away the cigarette butt and rushed forward to catch her in his arms.

”Are you okay?”

His body carried a pleasant mint scent, and as he spoke, there was also a faint smell of tobacco.

Xiaonuan shook her head and supported her forehead with her hand: ”I’m fine.”

Shaochen just stared at her, saying nothing. Suddenly, he bent down and lifted her horizontally, heading back to his car.

”Put me down... I can walk...” Xiaonuan struggled.

However, Shaochen had already reached the car and tucked her into the cabin.

He closed the door and quickly slipped inside too.

Once Xiaonuan sat down, she greedily leaned against the chair back, wanting to sleep.

It’s said that drunk people see everything as a bed, and it truly felt accurate. Right now, she just wanted to hug the car seat and have a good sleep.

Shaochen held the steering wheel, listening to the soft murmurs coming from the girl beside him, which eventually faded into her steady breathing.

Shaochen took a gentle breath and stared ahead, as if engraving something in his mind.

After sixty seconds, he slowly turned his face to look at the sleeping girl next to him.

The girl’s long hair cascaded over her shoulders, and a few strands of fringe covered her profile. From his angle, he could only see her sharp nose, her petite half-lips, and her slightly turned chin.

Shaochen’s eyes carried a complex expression. His fingertips moved slightly where they rested, then slowly lifted.

He reached out carefully, using the tip of his index finger to gently tuck her fringe behind her ear, allowing him to fully see her face.

Her fair skin carried a hint of drunken flush.

Her long eyelashes drooped low; her small lips were pink and enticing. Perhaps due to drinking a lot of water just before, her upper lips were still moist, making them appear even more alluring, tempting one to kiss her.

Shaochen looked at her, his hand slowly moving to the top of her head, gently, softly stroking her hair.

In her dreams, Xiaonuan let out a slight, restless murmur.
