The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1109: Chapter 1129: How Could He Not Feel Heartache

When Nangong Yaoling got home, Xia Xiaonuan was already asleep.

The butler stepped forward respectfully and took his briefcase and coat.

”Where’s the young madam?” Nangong Yaoling glanced around and asked.

At this moment, a maid stepped up and said:

”Young Master, this afternoon the young madam personally stewed some soup for you, then waited for you to come back. Later she took a bath, probably got tired, and now she’s resting in the bedroom.”

Nangong Yaoling nodded.

”Got it.” After he spoke, he lifted his feet and headed upstairs.

In the warm, cozy bedroom.

Xia Xiaonuan was lying on the big bed, wrapped in a bath towel, with a white blanket only half covering her. Her sensual collarbone and snowy shoulders were exposed.

Nangong Yaoling’s brows knit slightly as he carefully walked over.

Her bath towel had already come loose, barely hanging on her shoulders. As soon as he got close, he could smell the faint fragrance on the girl’s body.

Nangong Yaoling lowered his head and took a sniff behind her ear.

She really smelled good.

Looking at the girl’s sleeping face, he almost couldn’t help himself, wanting to take a bite.

His gaze fell on her chest.

The softly rounded swell of her breasts made his breathing turn a little rough.

The man’s handsome face, under the light, gave off a sexy, hazy glow.

This little woman, even in her sleep, was seducing him!

Nangong Yaoling felt his lower abdomen tighten. He lowered his head and gently kissed her on the forehead.

He reached out and helped her take off the bath towel; sleeping with that thing tied around her was definitely uncomfortable.

However, when he removed the bath towel and was just about to cover her with the blanket, his gaze involuntarily froze on her body.

Her skin was very fair, and especially after getting pregnant recently, she’d become a bit fuller.

The whole of her looked downright irresistible.

Nangong Yaoling’s brows twitched slightly as he glanced at Xia Xiaonuan.

She was rarely sleeping this soundly; she really did look exhausted.

Faced with the ”feast” in front of him, he almost lost control and was about to lean down and kiss her.

But in the end, thinking about how tired she’d been lately, and how hard it was for her to finally get a good sleep, he really couldn’t bear to wake her.

Reluctantly, he reached out and carefully pulled the blanket over her.

In her sleep, the girl seemed to sense something and shifted slightly onto her side.

She buried her face against her own chest.

A lock of hair slipped down, covering half her face.

The man involuntarily reached out and tucked the strand behind her ear.

Xiaonuan, don’t worry. I’ll always protect you, and our baby too.

Just like this.

In the man’s dark eyes, there was a touch of warmth and indulgence.

He watched her for a while, then was about to get up and leave.

When he suddenly thought of something.

He reached into his pocket and took out a gift box.

Right, she’s asleep now. How should I give this to her?

If I want to give her a surprise...

A glint flashed across the man’s eyes. He opened the box and took a look, then closed it again, glanced around the room, and finally set it on the nightstand beside the bed.

He still had to go to the company in the morning. Even after he left, when Xiaonuan woke up tomorrow, she’d see it at a glance.

At that moment, she would definitely be surprised.

Nangong Yaoling’s thin lips pressed into a faint smile.

He tucked the blanket around her again, turned off the light, and left the room.

”This soup... the young madam made it?” In the dining room, Nangong Yaoling looked at the soup the servant had brought and asked.

The air was filled with the aroma of medicinal broth.

”Yes. The young madam spent the whole afternoon stewing this chicken bone soup. She added several kinds of Chinese herbs. The young madam said you’ve lost a lot of weight recently and work so hard, so this soup is specially for nourishing your body.”
