The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1098: Chapter 1118: I Have Never Changed Towards You

Liang Shaochen was overjoyed, leaping out of his chair in excitement: ”I’ll be right there, Xiaonuan. I’ll wait for you there, not leaving until I see you!”

”Okay...”

Xia Xiaonuan nodded, somewhat dazedly hanging up the phone.

She recalled that time when Liang Shaochen was at that park, waiting for her throughout an entire freezing day of minus twenty degrees, nearly turning into an ice sculpture, yet foolishly waiting for her.

In the end, it was she who let him down, after all.

Liang Shaochen hung up and immediately got up, walked to the coat rack, quickly put on his suit, then grabbed the car keys from the table and rushed out the door.

The way he looked was like a vibrant young man heading eagerly to meet someone he fancied.

However, after taking a few steps in the corridor, he suddenly halted.

He thought of something and abruptly turned around, heading back to the president’s office.

He opened the drawer and took out a small, long red velvet box.

The box looked exquisite, yet he extended his hand and opened it.

Inside appeared an even more beautiful and delicate necklace.

Liang Shaochen gazed at the necklace, his lips slightly pursed, with a hint of unease passing through his eyes.

After a few seconds, he closed the gift box and placed it back in the drawer.

Even though this necklace had been here for a long time, it had never been given to anyone.

Was now really the right time to give something to her? If one were to give a gift, there should be a reason, right?

Liang Shaochen propped a hand on the desk.

He hesitated for about thirty seconds before closing the drawer.

However, as he was about to leave, he turned back again, reopening the drawer.

Quickly retrieving the gift box, he held it in his palm, stroked it a few times with his fingertip, then gritted his teeth and placed it in his pocket.

In the living room.

Xia Xiaonuan sat on the sofa by herself, lost in thought for a while, then looked at the clock, suddenly thinking of something, quickly got up, washed her face, and went out the door.

Perhaps because Xia Xinmei had died, the bodyguards surprisingly didn’t follow her this time.

She went to the side of the road and flagged down a taxi.

Xia Xiaonuan’s car stopped at the entrance of the square, and she got out, seeing Liang Shaochen standing quietly in a corner of the park, dressed in a smoky gray suit and standing with a tall, straight figure.

Even in the bustling park, he stood there so silently that she could spot him at a glance. Just like back in the orphanage, no matter how many children were around, Qiqi would always instantly find Nan Mo.

Perhaps this habit has never changed over all these years.

He stood by a pillar, slightly turned sideways, holding a cigarette and smoking it alone, as smoke drifted in front of his eyes.

Xia Xiaonuan’s lips curled slightly, as she slowly stepped forward.

When Liang Shaochen turned, his gaze happened to meet hers. His eyes lit up slightly, and he quickly stubbed out his cigarette in a trash bin not far away.

Then he strode towards her.

”Xiaonuan, you’re here.” The man looked at her with a smile, with undisguised delight in his clear eyes.

A few girls passing by glanced over at him.

”Wow... that guy is so handsome...”

”Yeah, kind of like Wang Li Hong...”

”Give me a break, I think he’s even handsomer than Wang Shuai... looks more comfortable...”

Xia Xiaonuan couldn’t help but glance at the girls, probably just around college age.
