The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 403: Chapter 404: The Secret About Apples

”Oh... Why can we only eat apples once a week?” Qiqi said dejectedly, ”Otherwise, I’ll just eat the peel...”

”No, the apples in the orphanage have pesticides on them, you could get poisoned! Here, I’ve peeled it for you!”

Qiqi happily took the carefully peeled apple from the young boy, and ”crunch” took a bite.

”So sweet...! You should have some too...” Qiqi said with her mouth full, offering the apple to Nan Mo.

”I just ate one,” Nan Mo shook his head. Actually, conditions in the orphanage weren’t great, and it wasn’t fruit season, so the director allocated one apple to be shared between two people. But Nan Mo always told Xiaonuan that it was one apple per person, and he had already eaten his portion.

This way, Xiaonuan could happily eat a whole big apple without any worries.

Qiqi is a girl and has been weak since childhood; he is a boy, so it didn’t matter even if he didn’t eat any fruit.

”Nan Mo, you sneakily ate it alone, not waiting for Qiqi to eat together!” Old Gao, Qiqi’s mouthpiece, said displeasedly.

”Alright, I was wrong, next time we’ll eat together!”

”No way, we have to eat together this time too! Nan Mo, just take a bite!”

Nan Mo helplessly took the apple, and with a flash in his eyes, he used a knife to carve a tiny heart shape, the size of a fingernail, on the other side of the apple.

Then he scooped out the heart-shaped apple piece and said, ”This heart is a gift from Qiqi!”

Qiqi covered her mouth and exclaimed in surprise, ”Wow, you’re amazing! The heart that Qiqi gave you must be very sweet!”

”Of course, Qiqi’s heart, I can’t bear to eat it!”

”No, this sweet heart must be eaten by Brother Nan Mo; Qiqi only wants Nan Mo to eat it!” Qiqi said anxiously.

So Nan Mo, in front of Qiqi, ate the small heart-shaped apple piece.

The girl smiled happily and then finished the rest of the apple.

Until now, Shaochen could never forget the feeling at that moment.

That ”heart” was really very sweet, the sweetest apple he had ever tasted in his memory.

Thinking about it now, he still felt like his taste buds were blossoming.

From then on, every time they ate apples, Qiqi would insist he carve a heart out.

And once she insisted on carving one for him herself, but the heart didn’t come out, and her hand ended up covered in blood.

When Qiqi saw the blood, she cried her heart out; Nan Mo painfully threw the apple away, using a handkerchief to stop her bleeding while taking her to the director to bandage her up.

Back then, Qiqi was especially delicate, but... he knew it was all because of his love and care.

He loved to pamper her, protect her.

As long as he saw her sweet and happy smile, no matter how much bitterness was in life, it all turned into traces of sweetness!

But...

As time passed, he finally found Qiqi, but Qiqi no longer remembered their sweet memories.

Once deeply engraved memories, she said she forgot them just like that.

However, he had secretly vowed to help Jiang Xue retrieve her memory, to reclaim the memories that belonged to both of them!

But...

Looking at the heart-shaped apple in front of him and Xia Xiaonuan’s innocent smile.

Liang Shaochen felt as if something struck heavily in his heart.

The last time in KTV... she could easily sing the song he taught Qiqi! Although that song was also taught by the teacher, he later thought, the teacher might teach other kids after going to other places.
