The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 343: Chapter 345 【345】 Could She Have Been Poisoned?

Mark also knocked on the door.

In the bedroom, Xia Xiaonuan was lying in bed, and Mark handed her a thermometer to measure her temperature, and gave her some fever-reducing medicine,

while also checking her blood pressure and heart.

On the side, Nangong Yaoling stood there quietly, his gaze fixed on Xia Xiaonuan’s face.

Xia Xiaonuan seemed a bit tired, her entire being appeared somewhat sleepy.

As Mark measured her heartbeat and pulse, his eyelid twitched slightly.

”Young Madam, besides the body aches, is there any other discomfort?” Mark’s crystal blue eyes, as bright as the starry sky, showed a slight, barely noticeable disturbance.

”No, just feeling a bit sleepy... my head feels heavy...” Xia Xiaonuan said weakly.

Mark reached out and lifted her eyelids for a check.

”Young Madam, have you felt unwell or uncomfortable recently?”

”I just finished my period, could that be related?” Xia Xiaonuan asked.

Mark nodded: ”That could be possible...” he said, standing up, ”Young Master... from Young Madam’s current symptoms, it seems similar to a cold, but I still suggest taking her to my place for a comprehensive check-up.”

”Wasn’t I already checked yesterday?” Xia Xiaonuan frowned and said, ”It’s just a cold.”

”Young Madam’s condition is a bit special, her pulse is irregular, and her heartbeat is not normal. I’m not sure what it is...”

Nangong Yaoling’s entire body tensed instantly.

Xia Xiaonuan was first confused by Mark’s words, but the next second, she thought of something, and her brain buzzed!

This is bad!

Last night, she sucked Situ Yan’s blood... could she have been poisoned?

Thinking of this, Xia Xiaonuan’s face turned pale instantly.

What to do... it looks like it’s true...

”No... I don’t want a check-up!” Instinctively, Xia Xiaonuan shouted these words.

Mark was slightly stunned.

Nangong Yaoling asked, ”Is the situation serious?”

”Well... we can’t be sure of the cause yet, it could also be emotional fluctuation or high fever causing this, which is quite common... but to be safe, it’s better to do a check-up...”

”Alright, take her for a check-up now!”

”I... I don’t want to!” Xia Xiaonuan strongly resisted, ”It’s just a fever, it’ll be fine once it goes down... these past few days of constant check-ups have been enough...”

To prevent Nangong Yaoling from suspecting, Xia Xiaonuan intentionally said so.

Nangong Yaoling frowned at her, ”This is not the time for you to be willful...” After saying that, he walked towards her, bending down to carry her.

Xia Xiaonuan was so scared that she quickly dodged.

”I really don’t want a check-up, maybe just take some fever-reducing medicine and it’ll get better...”

”Xiaonuan...” Nangong Yaoling gritted his teeth, ”If you keep being stubborn, I’ll get angry!”

Standing aside, Mark frowned slightly, a trace of suspicion flashing in his eyes.

Xia Xiaonuan’s symptoms were indeed very strange.

”I’m really fine... maybe we can wait until the fever goes down; it might just be a cold causing this...” Xia Xiaonuan said hesitantly, looking at Nangong Yaoling with pleading eyes.

Nangong Yaoling sighed.

Mark said: ”Young Madam has a point, with her high fever, some check-ups may not be suitable now, but it’s best to do a comprehensive physical examination once the fever goes down...”

Nangong Yaoling nodded and looked at Xia Xiaonuan, ”Alright then.”

After Mark left, Xia Xiaonuan curled up under the blanket, pretending to sleep, and began to feel increasingly uneasy.

Nangong Yaoling bent down and tucked her in, stared at her for a while, then turned and left.
