The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 335: Chapter 337 【337】Just Bear With It a Little Longer 2

Quickly changing her clothes, she didn’t know if Nangong Yaoling would come back today, and if he did and saw such a scene, he would probably be furious. Fortunately, Nangong Yaoling did not return immediately.

Just now, because of the life-or-death situation, it felt like fighting a war, and her brain acted impulsively without thinking. Now that she calmed down, she started to feel a little scared.

Though she rinsed her mouth, there was still a fishy taste lingering.

When she came out holding a basin of clean water.

She had to clean up the current mess immediately.

Situ Yan leaned half-lying against the corner of the bed with eyes closed, seemingly asleep.

Xia Xiaonuan ignored him and used a wet towel to carefully clean the blood from his face and arms. Just now, she didn’t look at him closely; only now did she realize that Situ Yan was indeed quite good-looking.

His features were well-defined, his complexion was a slightly bronzed hue that complemented his aura perfectly. Handsome eyebrows, high nose, coldly sculpted jaw, thin lips.

Like Nangong Yaoling, he was a standard handsome guy, but in comparison, Situ Yan had more of a cold and lonely demeanor.

Yes, even on their first meeting, Xia Xiaonuan felt the loneliness emanating from him.

Injured like this, yet he didn’t utter a single sound. Moreover, when she impulsively rescued him, he even reminded her that she might get poisoned too.

But she felt that his reminder wasn’t just out of concern that she would get poisoned, but rather an innate coldness. He probably firmly believed that if she knew she would get poisoned, she wouldn’t have saved him!

Yet, she still saved him, driven by a stubborn compassion.

Yes, now Xia Xiaonuan realized that her impulsive act was also driven by a stubborn sympathy.

Just like when you encounter an injured stray cat on the street, wanting to treat its wounds, but the cat resists distrustfully with claws bared, making you even more determined to help it!

Situ Yan said he didn’t like being seen as pitiful, proving that deep down he wasn’t as proud and indifferent as he appeared!

Xia Xiaonuan looked at the man before her and silently sighed for reasons unknown.

”Had enough staring?” Suddenly, a cold voice rang in her ear.

Xia Xiaonuan snapped out of her thoughts and saw Situ Yan glaring at her with an angry expression.

”I told you, don’t look at me with those pitiful eyes!”

”Ah... I wasn’t!” Xia Xiaonuan quickly refuted.

Situ Yan glanced at her deeply, frowned slightly, and closed his eyes again as if intending to sleep once more.

She turned away with an embarrassed smile, kneeling on the floor to quickly clean up the bloodstains with the towel.

She didn’t notice the gaze that had been fixed on her from behind.

Once she finished cleaning, Xia Xiaonuan couldn’t stand it any longer and rushed into the bathroom, retching.

The entire room smelled of blood.

Her mouth still felt uncomfortable, so she went to the wine cabinet, picked up half a bottle of vodka, poured some, and drank.

Her throat and stomach burned, her head felt a little dizzy, but her mouth felt a lot better.

Xia Xiaonuan vaguely sensed something and turned around.

Sure enough, Situ Yan was already awake, staring at her with sharp eyes.

Xia Xiaonuan was stunned and quickly asked, ”Are... are you feeling better?”

Situ Yan nodded, extending his hand towards her, pointing at the bottle in her hand: ”Give me a drink.”
