The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 83: Chapter 85 [85] I Want You to Beg Me 3

Xia Xiaonuan was laughing so hard that she couldn’t catch her breath, completely unable to resist.

Her wrist hung around Nangong Yaoling’s neck.

When Mr. and Mrs. Xia and Nangong Feihong walked out of the dining room, the first thing they saw was the two entwined together.

In an instant, Nangong Feihong’s face turned incredibly sour.

Mr. Xia awkwardly averted his gaze, while Mrs. Xia’s face blossomed into a smile.

Mr. Xia pulled Nangong Feihong aside and said, ”Feihong, let me take you to my study. How about a game of chess?” As he spoke, he asked Mrs. Xia to clean up the kitchen.

Xia Xiaonuan, hearing the conversation, woke up as if from a dream and hurriedly pushed Nangong Yaoling away.

Nangong Yaoling was shoved back but propped himself up on the couch. Lifting his eyes, he saw the three of them standing in the living room. Xia Xiaonuan wished she could find a hole to crawl into.

But Nangong Yaoling seemed entirely unashamed, looking at Nangong Feihong and saying, ”Feihong, come watch TV with us.”

Nangong Feihong’s body stiffened, but he replied, ”Sure.” He released Mr. Xia’s hand and walked over.

Mr. Xia and Mrs. Xia exchanged a glance, a flash of helplessness in their eyes.

Both families’ parents knew that Nangong Feihong and Xiaonuan had grown up as childhood sweethearts, but Xiaonuan ended up marrying Nangong Yaoling, which was a huge blow to Nangong Feihong.

So much so that he didn’t hesitate to fall out with the brother he respected the most.

Back then, Nangong Feihong and Nangong Yaoling were the two closest brothers in the Nangong Family.

Xia Xiaonuan, feeling awkward, adjusted her clothes and hair, pushing a fruit platter in front of Feihong with a smile. ”You... have some fruit.” Nangong Feihong looked at her, a flicker of pain and something she couldn’t understand passing through his eyes, before breaking into a wide smile. ”Sure.”

Nangong Yaoling, beside her, pulled her into his arms. ”Xiaonuan, which channel did you want to watch earlier? I’ll change it for you.”

Xia Xiaonuan shook off his hand, but he moved closer again.

Not wanting to make a big scene, she had no choice but to let him.

”Xiaonuan, why don’t you and Yaoling stay over tonight? It’s been a long time since you stayed home,” Mrs. Xia suggested.

Immediately, Xia Xiaonuan replied, ”I’d rather not... I...”

”Xiaonuan... It’s been so long since I’ve seen you. Don’t you miss your mom?” Mrs. Xia said sadly.

Xia Xiaonuan: ...

”Since that’s the case, we’ll stay,” Nangong Yaoling said uncharacteristically, tightening his hold on Xiaonuan.

Xiaonuan turned her head, glaring fiercely at Nangong Yaoling.

Mrs. Xia beamed as she placed two drinks in front of them, deliberately handing the middle one to Xiaonuan. ”Xiaonuan, this is your favorite coconut juice... freshly made by mom. You should drink more; Yaoling, this is American coffee sent by Mr. Xia’s friend from the US... also your favorite.”

”Oh... Thank you,” Xia Xiaonuan said with a smile.

Mrs. Xia didn’t mind that she didn’t call her mom, simply saying, ”I’ll go upstairs and tidy up your room then.”

Once she finished speaking, Mrs. Xia happily went upstairs.

Nangong Feihong, face pale, finally couldn’t bear it any longer. He turned to Mr. Xia and said, ”Mr. Xia, shall we go upstairs?”

In the living room, only Nangong Yaoling and Xia Xiaonuan remained.

Xia Xiaonuan glared at Yaoling. ”Why stay? Don’t you have work tonight?”

Nangong Yaoling laughed. ”Since you’re my wife, spending some time at your parents’ place and taking a night off from work won’t hurt.”

”You know I feel uneasy here, that’s why you want to stay,” Xia Xiaonuan retorted.

”This is your home. How can you feel uneasy?”

”You’re clearly just trying to get on my nerves!”
