2150 Chapter 2149 - 2149: Elemental Spirit Training 2026-10-31

In the sky of the Elemental Source Land,

In front of all participants, a glowing sphere hovered.

’Let’s do it.’

Without any hesitation, Ajax touched the glowing sphere in front of him.

In the next second, it cracked open like an egg, revealing a Fire Elemental Spirit that looked like a human child around ten years old, without any bestial features.

”Please bestow a name upon me, Summoning Master.”

As soon as he appeared, the Elemental Spirit Child asked Ajax to name him.

Generally, when Summoners used their opportunity to enter the Elemental Spirit World, the Elemental Spirits were already born and had lived for decades or even centuries.

Thus, they were all adult Elemental Spirits and had their own names.

However, their current situation was different, as the Elemental Spirits that came out of the glowing spheres were all just born.

So, they didn’t have any names.

’Since he is my first Elemental Spirit in this new universe, I will name you...’

Ajax thought about it for a moment before naming him.

”Protos.”

”Protos... Protos.”

The Elemental Spirit Child muttered the name a couple of times and let out a satisfied, childish giggle before thanking Ajax.

”Thank you, Summoning Master.”

’Swiish!’

As soon as Ajax named the Elemental Spirit, a speck of light entered his body from Protos.

Soon, Ajax felt a connection with the Elemental Spirit that was extremely familiar to him.

[Congratulations! The host has formed an unofficial contract with a Fire Elemental Spirit.]

At the same time, the familiar system notification resounded in his head as a system window appeared in front of him.

[Elemental Spirit Name: Protos (Fire)]

[Cultivation: Level 1 Elemental Soldier Realm]

[Skills: Fire Arrow]

Looking at the simple information on the Elemental Spirit Child, Ajax was not surprised.

Even though Protos had just hatched, he already had a cultivation level and a skill.

It was not because Elemental Spirits were inherently powerful; instead, it was because Protos had formed a contract with a Summoner and gained a cultivation level right after his birth.

Without a contract with a Summoner, an Elemental Spirit would barely reach Level 1 Elemental Soldier Realm through its own efforts and could slowly learn a skill or two.

However, with a contract, it could obtain a cultivation level and a skill, allowing it to grow faster than many adult Elemental Spirits in the Elemental Spirit World.

After all, a Summoner could provide it with cultivation resources and help it grow stronger.

’Not bad.’

With the number of Elemental Spirits he had, Ajax was not expecting his new Elemental Spirit to have heaven-defying skills.

So, Ajax nodded in satisfaction before looking around.

Similar events were happening with the other participants.

’Five types of Elemental Spirits, huh.’

After a casual look around, Ajax noticed that there were only five types of Elemental Spirits: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Dark.

They matched the five elemental terrains in the Elemental Source Land.

Just as Ajax was about to examine Protos further, the Ancient Voice resounded once again.

[Since everyone has successfully hatched their Elemental Spirit Orbs, you will be teleported to the respective terrains according to the Elemental Spirits you have hatched.]

’Swiish!’

As soon as the announcement ended, all the participants were teleported to different terrains in the Elemental Source Land.

’Back to the Flaming Forest, huh?’

Looking at the familiar forest, Ajax couldn’t help but smile.

In the first round, he had spent nine days in the Flaming Forest farming the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals. He felt he had some connection with this location.

Nevertheless, he didn’t think much about it before turning towards Protos and asking, ”Are you ready to increase your strength?”

”Yes, Summoning Master!”

All Elemental Spirits had an innate desire to become stronger, and Protos was no exception.

Hearing Ajax’s words, the Spirit Child became excited.

”Good.”

Ajax nodded and took out a pile of Spirit Stones.

”Eat them.”

Without hesitation, Ajax gave some low-level Spirit Stones to Protos and asked him to eat them.

Unlike humans, who had to absorb the energy inside Spirit Stones through contact and by using cultivation techniques, Elemental Spirits could consume them directly like candies without any worries.

Of course, it was not that Ajax lacked high-level Spirit Stones to give Protos.

Instead, the energy contained in high-level Spirit Stones was not only purer but also much greater in quantity, which could overwhelm Protos at his current cultivation level.

Therefore, Ajax decided to start with low-level Spirit Stones.

”Thanks for the food!”

Protos didn’t hesitate as he tossed the Spirit Stones into his mouth like candies.

”Summoning Master, these are delicious!”

Protos licked his lips and looked at Ajax expectantly, clearly wanting more.

”Of course.”

Ajax smiled and took out another pile of Low-Level Spirit Stones.

”Keep eating.”

”Thank you, Summoning Master!”

Protos happily began devouring the Spirit Stones.

They melted almost instantly, turning into pure energy that nourished his body and increased his cultivation.

[The Elemental Spirit has consumed 10 Low-Level Spirit Stones and advanced to Level 2 Elemental Soldier Realm.]

[The Elemental Spirit has consumed 20 Low-Level Spirit Stones and advanced to Level 3 Elemental Soldier Realm.]

As Ajax watched his first Elemental Spirit in this universe grow stronger, he couldn’t help but think about the purpose of the Second Round.

’If the mastermind wants these Elemental Spirits to grow stronger, then I might as well help him achieve his goal.’

Ajax had no intention of deliberately slowing down Protos’s cultivation just to oppose the mastermind.

After all, he needed to understand what the mastermind was planning before deciding how to deal with him.

’Besides, the stronger Protos becomes, the more useful he will be to me.’

Ajax’s eyes flashed as he thought about the benefits of gaining another official Elemental Spirit.

Actually, the Second Round was good for Ajax, as his Elemental Spirits were all sealed and he needed one or two Elemental Spirits.

Moreover, if Protos passed the Second Round, his unofficial contract would become an official one, and Ajax would awaken an official skill related to him.

’I wonder what skill I will awaken.’

Although Ajax already possessed powerful skills and cultivation techniques, he was curious about what kind of skill he would awaken from Protos.

...

Meanwhile, in different elemental terrains, the other participants were also busy nurturing their newly acquired Elemental Spirits.

For most of them, reaching the Elemental Spirit King Realm within 30 days was not a difficult task.

However, none of them realized that while they were happily nurturing their Elemental Spirits, someone might be watching their every move.

And that someone might have a purpose far more sinister than simply organizing a few rounds of trials.

...

On the edge of the Flaming Forest,

[The Elemental Spirit has consumed 80 Low-Level Spirit Stones and advanced to Level 9 Elemental Soldier Realm.]

In less than ten minutes, Protos had consumed 360 Low-Level Spirit Stones, reaching the highest level in the Elemental Soldier Realm.

’Not bad.’

Looking at the system notifications, Ajax nodded in satisfaction.

Although 360 Spirit Stones might seem like a lot to ordinary Summoners, they were nothing to Ajax.

Moreover, Protos had advanced from Level 1 to Level 9 Elemental Soldier Realm in less than ten minutes.

At this rate, reaching the Elemental Spirit King Realm within 30 days would be a piece of cake.

”Summoning Master, with another 100 low-level Spirit Stones, I can break through to the Elite Elemental Soldier Realm.”

Protos, the child, informed Ajax with a face full of excitement and confidence.

”Of course.”

Ajax nodded his head; however, he didn’t give Protos any Spirit Stones.

”It is time for some exercise to digest what you ate.”
