New Age Of Summoners

[The Second Round, [Elemental Spirit Cultivator], as the name suggests, is for you to nurture an Elemental Spirit.]

’I guessed it right.’

’I know it.’

’I will prove myself in this round.’

The Ancient Voice started explaining the details of the Second Round, making all the participants excited.

As Summoners, all these participants had more than five Elemental Spirits each, and they had nurtured them from the Level 1 Elemental Soldier Realm to the peak of the Elemental Emperor Realm.

Thus, they were all confident in nurturing Elemental Spirits.

[In this round, each participant will be given an Elemental Spirit with which they will form an unofficial contract.]

[After 30 days, the participants who nurture their Elemental Spirits to the Elemental Spirit King Realm will be considered to have passed the round.]

”What?”

”All we need to do is nurture an Elemental Spirit to the Elemental Spirit King Realm within 30 days?”

Hearing the details of the Second Round, the participants were even more excited.

To them, nurturing an Elemental Spirit to the Elemental Spirit King Realm was a simple task.

As long as they had enough Spirit Stones, it would take only about a week for an Elemental Spirit to reach the Elemental Spirit King Realm.

Actually, an Elemental Spirit’s cultivation had some connection to its Summoner. An Elemental Spirit’s cultivation could not surpass its Summoner’s cultivation**,** and if the Summoner’s cultivation was higher, the Elemental Spirit’s cultivation would be faster.

Since all the participants here were Emperor Realm Summoners, the Elemental Spirits wouldn’t face any bottlenecks in their cultivation, provided they had sufficient cultivation resources.

In short, compared to the First Round, the Second Round seemed much easier.

However, the Ancient Voice wasn’t finished explaining the rewards.

[Once you pass the Second Round, your unofficial contract will turn into an official contract, and you will awaken the official skill related to your Elemental Spirit.]

”What? The unofficial contract will turn into an official one?”

”It means we can awaken another official skill!”

The participants were stunned for a moment before their excitement exploded.

Generally, a Summoner could form contracts with an unlimited number of Elemental Spirits, provided they could find that many Elemental Spirits willing to form contracts with them.

However, unofficial contracts had no special benefits beyond allowing the Summoner to have loyal Elemental Spirits.

Official Elemental Spirits were different.

By forming an official contract with an Elemental Spirit, a Summoner could awaken an official skill related to that Elemental Spirit.

Such skills could greatly increase a Summoner’s battle prowess or survival rate.

For Summoners, obtaining another official Elemental Spirit was an opportunity they couldn’t easily pass up.

What’s more, that was only the common reward for passing the Second Round.

’I wonder what the rewards will be for the top participants.’

Since the First Round had offered Divine Elemental Potions to the top ten participants, many were expecting the Ancient Voice to announce special rewards again.

They didn’t have to wait long.

[The rewards for the top ten participants will once again be Divine Elemental Potions.]

”Another ten Divine Elemental Potions?”

”This time, I must get one at any cost!”

Those who hadn’t obtained a Divine Elemental Potion in the First Round clenched their fists with determination.

Meanwhile, those who had already obtained one became even more eager.

’I should get another Divine Elemental Potion to evolve my second Elemental Spirit.’

To them, another Divine Elemental Potion meant another opportunity to evolve an Elemental Spirit into a Divine Elemental Spirit.

Naturally, they weren’t going to miss such an opportunity.

However, the Ancient Voice’s next announcement caused an even greater stir.

[In addition, the top three participants will each receive a Divine Pearl.]

”What?”

”More rewards?”

”This time, only the top three will receive the additional rewards, but they’re actually Divine Pearls!”

The participants could hardly believe their ears.

Compared to Divine Elemental Potions, Divine Pearls were even more valuable and rare.

Divine Elemental Potions could only be used by Elemental Spirits, whereas Divine Pearls could be consumed by cultivators themselves to fully awaken one of their Divine Rules.

For Emperor Realm Summoners who possessed multiple Divine Rules, a Divine Pearl was an incredibly valuable treasure.

”T-this... the rewards are really insane.”

Even Ajax was surprised by the rewards offered in the Second Round.

Just by passing the round, the participants could obtain an official Elemental Spirit and awaken an official skill.

The top ten would receive Divine Elemental Potions, while the top three would receive both a Divine Elemental Potion and a Divine Pearl.

The rewards were enough to make even powerful Emperor Realm Summoners lose their composure.

’Especially the Divine Pearls.’

It was not the first time Ajax had heard of Divine Pearls. He had obtained a couple of them while exploring the previous Elemental Source Lands in his old universe.

Of course, by the time he obtained those Divine Pearls, all his Divine Rules had already been fully awakened.

Therefore, he had given them to his grandfather, Boron, and his master, Mostror.

’I might have no use for them, but for these participants, Divine Pearls are the keys to ascending to the Heavenly Realms.’

Most of the participants possessed multiple Divine Rules. With the help of a Divine Pearl, they could fully awaken one of them, bringing them a step closer to ascending to the Heavenly Realms.

Considering how tempting these rewards were, Ajax became even more certain that the mastermind behind the Elemental Source Land was going all out to make the participants work hard.

However, Ajax soon put aside his thoughts about the rewards and focused on the real issue.

’Anyway, compared to the rewards, there’s a much more important matter to consider.’

Ajax narrowed his eyes as he recalled what Nyra had told him about the eliminated participants.

They had lost all their Elemental Spirits after leaving the Elemental Source Land.

Now, the mastermind was asking the remaining participants to nurture new Elemental Spirits.

’If my guess is correct, the mastermind wants the participants to nurture these Elemental Spirits before taking them away.’

Ajax’s eyes flickered as he considered the possibility.

’It seems the mastermind can’t nurture the Elemental Spirits himself and wants these participants to do the work for him.’

Although Ajax still didn’t know why the mastermind needed so many Elemental Spirits, the purpose of the Second Round seemed much clearer now.

’His main goal isn’t to eliminate the participants. Instead, he wants them to cultivate Elemental Spirits for him.’

After all, if the mastermind simply wanted to eliminate the participants, he could have done so without arranging all these rounds and offering such generous rewards.

Instead, he was giving the participants every reason to stay and participate.

’Then why did he eliminate those who failed the First Round?’

Ajax quickly found a possible answer.

If the mastermind hadn’t eliminated those who failed the round despite setting such an easy task, some might have become suspicious of the Elemental Source Land.

However, by establishing rounds with specific requirements, he could make the participants believe that those who were eliminated had simply failed the trials.

And with the rewards becoming more tempting with each round, the remaining participants would be less likely to leave.

’Besides, he has already obtained the Elemental Spirits of fifteen eliminated participants. Those Elemental Spirits were all at the Emperor Realm.’

Ajax didn’t know whether the mastermind intended to use those Elemental Spirits for himself or had some other purpose in mind.

However, one thing was certain.

The mastermind was collecting Elemental Spirits, and the Second Round was likely another part of that plan.

’Let’s see what you intend to do next.’

While Ajax continued pondering, the Ancient Voice resounded once again.

[Let’s begin the Second Round!]

In the next moment, the entire sky above the Elemental Source Land trembled.

A massive amount of elemental energy gathered in the air, forming countless glowing spheres in different colours.

Each sphere contained an Elemental Spirit.

As the participants stared at the scene, the glowing spheres descended towards them one after another.

[Every participant will receive one Elemental Spirit. Form an unofficial contract with it and nurture it to the Elemental Spirit King Realm within 30 days.]

[Your progress will determine your ranking in the Second Round.]

The moment the Ancient Voice finished speaking, a glowing sphere stopped in front of Ajax.

Inside it was a small Elemental Spirit.

Ajax looked at the Elemental Spirit and narrowed his eyes slightly.

’Let’s see what kind of Elemental Spirit you’ve prepared for me.’
