New Age Of Summoners

Grandpa Lin and Princess Daphne were the only ones who were still standing in their places without moving.

Princess Daphne’s face was gloomy when she heard her father’s words as she clenched her fists.

”Little girl, you already know that your father is like that. So, don’t take his words to heart.”

Old man Lin shook his head as he tried to console Princess Daphne.

”I know.”

As for Princess Daphne, she nodded her head as she looked in the direction Ajax left with complex emotions.

Princess Daphne didn’t know whether she should be happy that Ajax rejected her father’s offer or it should be said that Ajax didn’t hesitate to reject marrying her.

’Sigh...what am I even thinking, we didn’t even know each other very much. So, how could he accept me?’

Princess Daphne shook her head and revealed a bright smile on her face before saying to Old man Lin, ’Grandpa Lin, I learned a cultivator’s law.’

She didn’t want her father to know about it. So, she silently transmitted her voice to the old man beside her.

’What?’

Old man Lin was shocked as he looked at Princess Daphne as though she was some kind of monster; however, he controlled his emotions before saying, ’Even though you learned a cultivator’s law, you are still very far from reaching the King realm. So, cultivate diligently and as I promised to you, I will inform the people from that place about you. Meanwhile, try to increase the level of your cultivator’s law.’

’I will, Grandpa Lin.’

Princess Daphne nodded at her and left for her room.

’I still don’t understand why that bastard hates her so much?’

Looking at the disappeared silhouette of Princess Daphne, the old man shook his head.

’As for this kid, I like him for openly rejecting that bastard’s offer.’

Next, he thought about Ajax and approved his behaviour as he continued, ’Looks like I will recommend him to that place. I hope, in the future, both Princess Daphne and Ajax develop feelings for one another.’

’Swoosh’

As soon as he finished his thinking, the old man left for his room as he had things of his own to do.

...

Outside the royal palace.

’I hope he didn’t send anyone after me to kill me. If he did that, instead of Ajax, the royal family would be the first one to get destroyed.’

With a cold smile on his face, Ajax kept an eye on his surroundings because he felt that King Stephen might send someone after him.

’Anyway, I need to get out of this royal city and claim the complete ownership of my dimensional crevice.’

As soon as he thought about his dimensional crevice, Ajax ran in a specific direction.

After an hour,

After running for an hour, Ajax came to a location where there was no one. So, he stopped to take a break.

’Looks like my body became a little stronger just from soaking in the Sacred Pool.’

Even though it was very small, Ajax was able to notice it. Moreover, since his body became stronger without doing anything, he was satisfied with it.

’Swoosh’

Just as Ajax was sitting, he heard some noise that made him frown.

’System, is there anyone nearby?’

Ajax used his spirit consciousness to sense; however, he was unable to sense anyone. So, he asked the system whether it sensed anyone.

’Ding,

Currently, the host is followed by six peak elite general realm cultivators.

’What? Only six?’

Ajax was surprised with the system’s reply and stretched his body a little before saying, ”Are you going to come out or should I make you come out of your hiding place.”

Actually, Ajax thought he would be followed by more than a dozen men; however, he became a little disappointed when he heard there were only six men.

’However, since they were able to hide their cover from my senses, I have to be careful.’

After calling them out, Ajax decided to summon all his elemental spirits and the contracted spirit beasts.

”Sigh...how did you find out we are following you, Ajax?”

”It’s all because of Elek. If not for him, we could have secretly protected Ajax.”

”Stop blaming me. What’s the point in protecting secretly when he already knew about us?”

Someone blamed Master Elek; however, Master Elek denied it.

”Oh. It’s you, master?”

Ajax politely bowed to the six vagrant cultivators who were secretly protecting him from the moment Ajax left the royal palace.

”Thanks for everything you did so far. You can go back to your things.”

Soon, Ajax thanked them and asked them to go back to their places.

”Ajax, it is not safe for you to travel alone.”

”Yes, Ajax. It is better for you if someone travels with you along the way because the royal family might try to kill you.”

’Sigh’

Ajax didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry after hearing their words; instead, he just sighed before saying, ”Thanks for your concern but my master has given me an important task to do in the cursed wilderness and I have to complete it on my own. So, please don’t follow me; otherwise, my master will become angry.”

Since he could not shake them off with his words alone, he had to use his master’s name to keep them away from him.

’Okay.’

Everyone nodded their heads in a low voice and didn’t say anything more to Ajax.

The reason they were following  Ajax was to protect him so that they could gain the favour of a powerful master; however, when they heard that the powerful master would become angry, no one dared to say anything.

’Swoosh’

As soon as he finished his words, he didn’t even bother to look back before rushing in the direction of the Cursed Wilderness.

’Wait a second.’

All of a sudden, Ajax remembered something and stopped in his tracks before walking towards the vagrant cultivators with an expectant look on his face.
