Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

The Tier Five Spirit Medicine Garden of the Celestial Water Sect is located at the very center of Lake Heart Island on a small mountain.

This small mountain is called Celestial Water Peak, and usually, only the two Nascent Soul cultivators and those cultivators specializing in spirit plant cultivation can stay atop the mountain.

As for other cultivators, they build sect halls, courtyards, and caves centered around Celestial Water Peak.

On Celestial Water Peak, there is also a Tier Five Array protection, but unlike the Mountain Protection Array, this Tier Five Array only serves a protective function.

It ensures that even if the Celestial Water Sect suffers the greatest attack, these spirit medicines remain unharmed.

When Ye Jingcheng launched a massive attack, numerous cultivators from the Celestial Water Sect attempted to exploit the turbulence to steal some spirit medicines.

However, Ye Jingcheng had already ordered Peach Wood to penetrate the array of the Spirit Medicine Garden, and half of the Soul-Devouring Insects were placed here.

They transformed into a cloud of insects, covering the Spirit Medicine Garden like a dome, obliterating any cultivator attempting to destroy these spirit medicines.

Besides these spirit insects, Ye Jingcheng’s Six-Colored Cloud Deer also flew to this location, protecting the Spirit Medicine Garden.

As soon as Ye Jingcheng arrived, these spirit insects immediately opened a small door.

Ye Jingcheng walked in, and the entire Spirit Medicine Garden was instantly revealed to him. The Tier Five Spirit Medicine Garden is sizable, and various Spirit Gathering Arrays are set up everywhere, making the place shimmer with spiritual light and appear extraordinarily infused with spiritual energy.

However, despite the spacious area, there weren’t many spirit medicines inside.

Two Gold Condensing Fruit Trees, one Primordial Jade Fruit Tree, three Purple Jade Vines, over ten Tier Five spirit medicines, and more than forty Tier Four spirit medicines constituted the garden’s entirety.

Ye Jingcheng took a look, seeing that among these spirit medicines, only the Millennium Water Emperor Grass was the main ingredient for the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon’s advancement pill, with only three or four auxiliary medicines for the Jade Qilin Pill.

Clearly, this Spirit Medicine Garden primarily consisted of water attribute spirit medicines.

Fortunately, although the other spirit medicines were not for the advancement pill, most were rare in the outside world, and these could be used to refine two types of Tier Five Spirit Pills.

One spirit pill is known as the Jade Grain Clearing Essence Pill, and the other is the Purple Nourishing Pill.

Both are spirit pills that progress Nascent Soul cultivation, and the Ye family coincidentally has the pill formulas for these two spirit pills; obtaining these spirit medicines means that Ye Jingcheng himself and his spirit beasts will have Tier Five Spirit Pills for cultivation.

Moreover, this allows Ye Jingcheng to hone his alchemy skills, especially since the Primordial Jade Fruit Tree is one of the three main materials for the Nascent Soul Pill.

Ye Jingcheng took out his flying sword, opened the Grotto Heaven, and swiftly transplanted all the spirit medicines into it.

Including the Tier Five and Tier Four Spirit Soils, all of it was brought into the Grotto Heaven.

Others might worry about damaging the spirit medicine’s primordial qi.

After all, such rough transplantation can lightly damage the spirit medicine’s foundation, reducing its efficacy, or severely cause withering and death.

But Ye Jingcheng had Treasure Light, so he naturally didn’t need to worry; as long as the spirit medicine had vitality, Ye Jingcheng could restore it.

Once the spirit medicines were collected, Ye Jingcheng flew out of the Spirit Medicine Garden with reluctance.

On the other side, Peach Wood had already scavenged the Celestial Water Sect’s Treasure Vault and other Tier Four Spirit Medicine Gardens, harvesting many more spirit medicines.

As for the low-tier spirit medicine gardens, they were uprooted indiscriminately; if they die later, there’s nothing to be done as time was pressing.

Ye Jingcheng didn’t believe breaking a teleportation array would stop those Nascent Souls from returning.

”Master, it’s almost done!” Peach Wood said with joy, its branches and roots filled, resembling less like a peach tree.

Rather, it looked like a treasure tree dotted with thousands of storage bags and countless spirit treasures.

If it weren’t because the area was still under the Celestial Water Sect’s control and not entirely safe, the Peach Wood Demon would have started boasting its achievements.

”Jingcheng, we can’t collect the gathering array of the Tier Five spiritual vein in time; it has to be left behind!” Ye Xuefan flew over nearby and spoke.

Ye Jingcheng wasn’t surprised upon hearing this; the Tier Five Spirit Gathering Array is complex and has been set for untold years, integrated with the spiritual vein, so extracting it isn’t realistic.

This spiritual vein can only be left for the Celestial Water Sect.

”However, we found a Tier Five Spirit Gathering Array and Spirit-Attracting Stone in the treasure vault, so your grotto heaven spiritual vein can upgrade this time!” Ye Xuefan continued, making Ye Jingcheng overjoyed.

His grotto heaven’s spiritual veins had been insufficient for a while.

But previously, the Celestial Phoenix Oasis was Ye family’s main base, being the foundation for Ye family cultivators’ breakthroughs, so the spiritual vein upgrade was a priority.

His grotto heaven had to make concessions; it couldn’t serve as a retreat for everyone.

He had considered purchasing from Medicine King Valley or Xiaoshan Prefecture, but now it seems the spiritual veins will upgrade to Tier Five in advance.

”We must leave quickly!” Ye Jingcheng tossed out many spirit pills for the spirit beasts participating in the scavenging and battle.

The Jade Ring Rat was allocated one as well.

However, it did not immediately consume it.

Having transplanted so many spirit medicines, it still needed to enter the Spirit Medicine Garden, along with the Earthworm, to loosen some spiritual soils and irrigate them with spirit liquid.

Tier Two or Tier Three spirit medicines, it could ignore, but for Tier Four and Tier Five spirit medicines, it had to put in effort.

If it consumed the spirit pill, it would need time to refine it; if not refined, it would waste its potency.

The Jade Ring Rat simply held it with a paw, while other spirit beasts already consumed theirs and started glowing with spiritual light.

”This Jade Ring Rat is quite impressive,” Ye Xuefan commented.

Then, the two took an array, triggered it explosively, and finally gathered the Celestial Secret Cloth, heading towards Cyan and Yellow Mountain.

Unlike before, the Celestial Secret Cloth ensured their whereabouts weren’t exposed.

Here, because it’s the Celestial Water Sect headquarters, the area is vast; even the Celestial Secret Cloth cannot fully conceal it, and the Celestial Water Sect’s Nascent Souls are certainly on their way.

Therefore, Ye Jingcheng did not plan to attack other sects; while such actions yield greater rewards, they also entail considerable risks.

...

Yan Kingdom, Yanhui Commandery.

Cyan River first flows through Taiqing Commandery, then Yanhui Commandery, followed by Yanqing Commandery.

Upon reaching Yanhui Commandery, it flows through Xi Wang Valley.

At this moment, two figures are descending in front of Xi Wang Valley.

Both are clad in cyan robes, yet curiously, while many cultivators are passing by, none can see the pair.

They gaze at the distant Cyan River.

Numerous demon beasts are on the Cyan River, including some spirit snakes and demon pythons.

They have already begun battling with some cultivators.

But neither the Tier Four Demon King nor the Tier Five Demon Emperor is visible.

”Yuanze Daoist, have we been exposed?” one of the figures transmits, breaking the silence first.

”Highly unlikely!” The remaining figure is True Monarch Yuanze of the Celestial Water Sect, with mid-stage Nascent Soul cultivation.

”With our Cyan Silkworm Celestial Concealment Daoist Robes, as long as we remain still, no one can detect us!” True Monarch Yuanze adds.

As he says this, he feels somewhat uncertain inside with a vague sense of unease.

He looks towards the remaining person.

”Daoist Hai, could it be they’ve bypassed us, or have they actually gone to aid Blood King Valley, and this is but a decoy?”

”It’s possible.” True Monarch Hai nods.

While they hesitate whether to proceed, True Monarch Yuanze suddenly retrieves a disk-shaped ancient jade.

This ancient jade is the Ten Thousand Miles Jade, capable of transmitting messages over vast distances.

As soon as the jade is taken out, it grows incredibly hot, displaying line after line of text.

Upon seeing it, True Monarch Yuanze’s expression changes drastically.

”Damn it, it’s a diversion strategy; the Ye Family has already gone to destroy our Celestial Water Sect’s mountain gates!”

”Daoist Hai, the Ye Family definitely has an array-breaking spiritual treasure, along with the Nether Fire Demon Emperor’s ancient treasure for concealing celestial secrets; we must return swiftly!” True Monarch Yuanze urgently exclaims.

He also takes out a jade talisman, transmitting to True Monarch Chunyang from Haoyang Daoist Temple.

The other party is currently near the Wei Kingdom’s teleportation array, enabling instant teleportation, unlike them who can only use Qinghe Sect’s teleportation array.

After transmitting, he looks again at True Monarch Hai.

”Daoist Hai, it’s likely our Celestial Water Sect’s teleportation array has already been destroyed; only your Sea-controlling Sect’s teleportation array can be used!”

”Certainly, that won’t be a problem. I’ll transmit to ensure our Sea-controlling Sect guards the teleportation array!” True Monarch Hai equally fears, for though the Celestial Water Sect and Sea-controlling Sect aren’t close in proximity, it wouldn’t take long for a Nascent Soul cultivator.

If the Sea-controlling Sect’s teleportation array is destroyed, its downfall is imminent.

The two streak towards Cyan River Valley.

True Monarch Qinghe is currently activating the teleportation array, evidently having received True Monarch Yuanze’s message.

Beside True Monarch Qinghe is True Monarch Profound Corpse; both appear slightly uneasy, given that the plan was their suggestion, yet things have gone terribly awry.

”Yuanze Daoist, the teleportation array is ready, currently linked with Sea-controlling Sect’s teleportation array. With the Ye Family daring to annihilate the mountain gate, we’ll assist in seeking justice!” True Monarch Qinghe declares.

”Old Daoist Qinghe, Old Daoist Profound Corpse, accompany us to Sea-controlling Sect. At this moment, spare the bold words and return now; we may still catch these Ye Family evil cultivators!”

”This beast tide...”

”This beast tide is just a feint; what do you fear? If you don’t go, wait for my return and face consequences. Were it not for your suggestion to ambush, would we be in this plight?” True Monarch Yuanze angrily retorts.

True Monarch Qinghe promptly nods, now aware of True Monarch Yuanze’s genuine anger.

With concise instructions, True Monarch Qinghe and True Monarch Profound Corpse enter the teleportation array together.

...

Cyan Cloud Sea Domain, Outer Sea, deep within the outer sea of Jade Cloud Islands.

Cyan Yuan Island.

This island is not renowned in the outer sea; it lacks spiritual veins, and vegetation is sparse. The sole feature is its considerable size, surrounded by numerous similar islands, rarely visited by demon hunters.

At the moment, several arrays have been set up above the island.

Despite Ye Xuefan being the most gifted in array techniques in the Ye Family, Ye Jingyu’s talent doesn’t fall far behind.

Moreover, the array discs had been prefabricated, with three Tier Four Top-Grade Arrays established on the island.

The only downside is the absence of spiritual veins, necessitating ample spirit stones for the array’s normal operation; otherwise, relying on cultivators here would render control impossible.

”Begin deploying the demon-enticing grass, have Ye Qingnian and Ye Yunxuan catalyze some Tier Three demon-enticing grass on nearby islands as well!” Ye Jingyu inspects the arrays and transmits to other family members.

Ye Haige immediately withdraws three Tier Four demon-enticing grass stems and begins cautiously watering with spirit liquid to induce them.

These demon-enticing grasses are on the verge of leafing; previously constrained by spirit talismans, their growth was suppressed. Now, with the arrays opened and spirit liquid applied, it takes merely a dozen breaths for them to leaf and emit their demon-enticing fragrance.

Though they are Tier Four demon-enticing grasses, attracting mainly Tier Four Demon Kings.

For the Ye Family, it’s just right; luring Tier Five beasts risks detection by Haoyang Daoist Temple’s Sea Mirror, leading to obstruction.

Luring the Demon Emperor is reserved for the final retreat when Ye Jingcheng would have returned, boosting their confidence.

Almost simultaneously as Ye Haige plants the demon-enticing grasses, on the surrounding smaller islands, young family members like Ye Qingnian and Ye Yunxuan also arrange the demon-enticing grasses, promptly returning to Cyan Yuan Island.

As the enchanting is completed, Ye Haige further uses a wind banner treasure to blow the enchanting fragrance afar.

With the fragrance spreading, numerous spirit beasts begin raging and roaring.

The sea surface begins to churn, and even the skies darken with ominous clouds.

Many sea-dwelling demon beasts possess rain-controlling abilities.

Ye Xuefu had long arranged cultivators to lure demon beasts without engaging in demon-hunting.

Within barely a few breaths, numerous great demons surge, and several leap from the sea, charging forward swiftly!
