Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

The thunderclouds gradually dispersed, and the Celestial Phoenix Oasis once again revealed its azure clear skies.

The White-Browed Cyan Wolf descended from the sky, accompanied by gusts of wind howling around it, yet its fur remained motionless, only a green light swirled mysteriously.

At that moment, Ye Jingcheng could even see some traces of the Celestial Cyan Demon Emperor.

He also wondered if the White-Browed Cyan Wolf possessed the Eye of the Hurricane Secret Technique of the Celestial Cyan Demon Emperor.

The Wind-Calming Break of the Wind Calming Eye could erupt in an instant, like withstanding a thunder tribulation, even resisting and weakening celestial thunder, showcasing the terror of this divine technique.

In contrast, the Eye of the Hurricane Secret Technique required releasing a storm, continuously absorbing and growing, sweeping up all mountains and wood, ultimately transforming into a devastating storm.

Initially, the Celestial Cyan Demon Emperor used such means to render True Monarch Beihai and two other Nascent Soul True Monarchs somewhat helpless, forcing them to join forces and barely resist with an array.

Beside it, the Roc Fish also spread its wings and descended, making joyful sounds.

It even blew out many small Five-Colored Spirit Bubbles, which floated toward the surrounding Ye Family members.

These Five-Colored Spirit Bubbles, though without Spirit Water inside, contained pure Spiritual Energy refined through the Five-Colored Spirit Bubble, even better than ordinary Spirit Water.

Instantly, they provoked a scramble among the clan members.

”Thank you, Eleventh Uncle!”

”Thank you, Eleventh Uncle!”

...

Ye Jingcheng observed that although the clan members were scrambling, it hadn’t reached the point of fighting, as everyone used techniques to attract, and it was also mutual attraction within the same generation; there was no situation of older members snatching from the younger ones.

He was happy to see such a joyous scene.

”You even have this ability!” Ye Jingcheng couldn’t help but toss out two Spirit Pills, giving them to the Roc Fish and the White-Browed Cyan Wolf.

The Roc Fish also waved its Roc Wings, though not as cheerfully as before.

”Master, these Spiritual Energies were prepared for me to break through the fifth thunder tribulation, but I have disappointed you!”

The Roc Fish had previously witnessed the breakthrough of the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon, Red Flame Fox, and Golden Scale Beast, naturally giving rise to a competitive spirit.

However, the Jade Qilin Flood Dragon could swallow thunderclouds and drive thunder tribulations.

It couldn’t do that and could only weaken them with Five-Colored Spirit Bubbles before swallowing.

It hadn’t even attracted the fifth thunder tribulation.

”You’ve done very well already!” Ye Jingcheng patted the heads of the two beasts, imbued some treasure light into them, and then accepted them into the Grotto Heaven.

At that moment, in front of so many clan members, it wasn’t the time to meticulously assess their combat power, especially since the Central Domain ceremony was imminent, and Ye Jingcheng couldn’t spare much time.

”Uncle Xue Liang, have the clan members going to the Central Domain been arranged?” Ye Jingcheng asked again.

Last time, the Ye Family had sent over thirty people to the Central Domain, which was considered an advance investigation and setup.

Over more than a decade, both the investigation and setup had gradually improved, and now it was naturally time for significant development.

After hosting the ceremony this time, the Ye Family needed to expand its influence in the Central Domain, starting with establishing industries one by one.

For example, the Pill Pavilion and restaurants must expand in scale.

After all, besides the power of the Righteous Sect’s mansion master and Profound Puppet Sect, the Celestial Sand Sect, where Ye Jingcheng was, was the strongest in the entire Xiaoshan Prefecture.

Moreover, Mansion Master Xiao had previously expressed a desire for the Celestial Sand Sect to develop significantly.

Furthermore, if successful, the Ye Family’s reliance on financial income from the Eastern Domain would decrease, preventing them from being as passive as before.

The newly advanced Foundation Establishment members of the Ye Family over these decades could also be properly arranged.

”It’s arranged, this time fifty people, twenty at Foundation Establishment and thirty at Qi Cultivation, all with skills. However, I heard from Fourth Brother that since the family plans for a Talisman Conference in the future, no experts in Spirit Talismans were included,” Ye Xueliang nodded.

He finished speaking and handed a Jade Talisman to Ye Jingcheng, which contained the list of cultivators for this trip from the Ye Family.

Ye Jingfu was among them.

”Alright, have them gather in two days!” Ye Jingcheng nodded.

Then he couldn’t help but look toward the crowd, spotting a young man who bore a significant resemblance to him.

The young man looked up at him with bright eyes and a determined expression.

It was Ye Qingnian.

”Congratulations, Father, on acquiring two more Spirit Beasts.” Ye Qingnian, seeing Ye Jingcheng finally available, called out.

”Well done, finally breaking through to Foundation Establishment.” Ye Jingcheng began.

Before he went to the Yan Kingdom, Ye Qingnian had been in seclusion for a Foundation Establishment breakthrough and had finally succeeded.

Compared to Ye Qingfeng, Ye Qingnian didn’t have a Spirit Body, and his Spirit Root was a bit weaker, which was why his breakthrough was slightly slower.

But being in his early twenties and at Foundation Establishment was still considered exceptionally gifted.

”I’ve let you down,” Ye Qingnian bowed, feeling slightly embarrassed upon hearing Ye Jingcheng using the word ”finally.”

After all, he had never lacked Spirit Elixirs and Medicines throughout his cultivation.

”I was over thirty when I reached Foundation Establishment, so don’t put yourself down; you’ve done exceptionally well.” Ye Jingcheng spoke again.

He said ”finally” intending to reward Ye Qingnian with Spirit Beast Cubs, not expecting Ye Qingnian to misunderstand.

He also understood in his heart this was because Ye Qingnian, as his son, was held to higher expectations by the whole Ye Family than Ye Qingfeng, creating pressure that made reaching Foundation Establishment before twenty-one feel slow.

Sure enough, upon hearing Ye Jingcheng’s words, Ye Qingnian’s expression brightened slightly.

Ye Xueliang dismissed the remaining clan members, allowing them to busy themselves. Ye Jingcheng then took Ye Qingnian back to the cave dwelling.

Now Chu Yanqing was in seclusion, and Ye Qingfeng was refining a Tier Two Spiritual Artifact, reportedly to craft one for Ye Qingnian as well.

Though not as time-consuming as a Magical Treasure, a Tier Two Spiritual Artifact still required several days of forging.

Thus, the courtyard only housed Ye Qingnian and Ye Jingcheng.

Ye Jingcheng began preparing spiritual cuisine.

Beside him, Ye Qingnian helped out, but Ye Qingnian looked expectant, clearly full of anticipation.

Ye Jingcheng understood this well, but for Ye Qingnian, he believed he should set higher standards and thus aimed to temper his temperament.

After making five or six dishes of spiritual cuisine, he also took out spirit tea.

Father and son then started their meal.

Ye Jingcheng didn’t inquire about Ye Qingnian’s progress; he merely asked about the taste of the spiritual cuisine like any ordinary mortal.

In the end, it was Ye Qingnian who couldn’t wait and asked first:

”Father, shouldn’t you check my spirit beast?”

”Has your spirit beast shown new progress or broken through to Tier Two?” Ye Jingcheng retorted.

Upon hearing this, Ye Qingnian’s face turned red.

He realized that Ye Jingcheng had seen through his thoughts.

He didn’t truly want Ye Jingcheng to inspect his spirit beast; he simply wished to obtain a spirit beast with higher talent like Ye Qingfeng.

He had seen the Black Crow, which he very much liked, and it naturally started at the Late Stage of Second Tier.

”No, Father.” Ye Qingnian lowered his head.

”Qingnian, remember, there are many treasures in the Cultivation Realm. What is yours will undoubtedly be yours; what isn’t yours must not be sought eagerly. Even in future negotiations with other cultivators, never reveal your true thoughts; otherwise, they will set higher conditions for you, just like I did,” Ye Jingcheng advised.

”At such times, you might feel inadequate preparation on your part,” Ye Jingcheng continued to educate.

Ye Qingnian nodded as he listened.

”Thank you, Father, for your guidance.”

”Let’s take a look at your Blood Jade Lion!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Qingnian tapped the Spirit Beast Bag, and three spirit beasts emerged.

Among these spirit beasts was the Blood Jade Lion, as well as a Golden Scale Beast and a Water Spike Turtle.

Evidently, aside from the Blood Jade Lion, he had nurtured two additional spirit beasts.

However, these two were clearly not given by Ye Jingcheng, but ones Ye Qingnian obtained by earning contribution points and exchanging within the family.

Yet, their talents weren’t considered high.

The Ye Family’s current criteria for judging spirit beast talent were much stricter than before.

Talent is first assessed conventionally, based on the knowledge of the Cultivation Realm and Ye Family. Secondly, through feeding appropriate attribute Advancement Pill residue, those who withstand it have promising talent, while those who cannot show average potential.

Ye Qingnian’s earnings of contribution points naturally wouldn’t be abundant.

However, these three spirit beasts were very well cultivated, each appearing well-fed and exuding spiritual light.

Their aura was also strong, all reaching the late stage of First Tier, nearing Tier One Peak.

”How many magic spells do they know?” Ye Jingcheng asked further.

”Each knows one. The Blood Jade Lion can unleash a Bursting Fireball, the Water Spike Turtle can release a Cold Arrow Water Spike, the Golden Scale Beast can emit an Earth Spike!”

”Hmm, not bad. This is the spirit beast prepared for you.” Ye Jingcheng said, taking out two spirit beast eggs.

These two spirit beast eggs included a Rock Python Egg with Flood Dragon’s bloodline once brought back by Ye Jingyu, and a Silver Moon Egg from the Silver Moon Flood Dragon.

Both could transform into Flood Dragons.

However, the Silver Moon Flood Dragon Egg’s aura was almost at Late Stage of Second Tier, estimated to be born at that stage.

The Rock Python birth might be at Late Stage of First Tier, differing by a full tier.

”Father, this is...” Ye Qingnian was incredibly excited at this moment.

He could already feel that the Silver Moon Egg was equally matched with that young Crow.

Furthermore, possibly due to his abundant spirit roots, Ye Jingcheng was generous enough to gift him an additional Rock Python Egg.

”These two are your Foundation Establishment gifts. However, obtaining both won’t be easy. In ten years’ time, during the family competition, you must defeat family members in the Late Stage of Foundation Establishment and secure a top-three spot in the competition. That’s my requirement for you!” Ye Jingcheng stated.

Hearing this, Ye Qingnian nodded firmly.

”Father, I guarantee to accomplish this. If I fail, I will return all contribution points used for these spirit beasts to the family!”

Though concerned about Ye Qingfeng, he was confident in securing a top-three spot. Even if he couldn’t reach Late Stage of Foundation Establishment within ten years, he was still confident.

”Alright, strive for it!” Ye Jingcheng nodded.

He served Ye Qingnian a piece of spiritual cuisine, and Ye Qingnian, having kept two eggs for regular meals, regained his usual astuteness.

”Father, it should be Nian’Er serving you!”

Ye Qingnian poured tea and served spiritual cuisine, which Ye Jingcheng accepted without refusal.

By the time the spiritual meal ended, it left a sense of warmth.

”Father, I’ve thought it over. I want to train at the Celestial Departure Grassland and retrace the paths of Aunt Jing Ting and Brother Qingwen.” Nearing dusk, Ye Qingnian hesitated but eventually spoke.

”Hmm!” Ye Jingcheng nodded upon hearing this, believing the best areas for spirit beasts to grow are those with frequent battles.

Ye Qingnian was now in his early twenties.

Exploring the Celestial Departure Grassland and establishing a Hidden Peak for training was remarkably appealing.

Naturally, Ye Jingcheng felt reassured knowing the current dangers of the Celestial Departure Grassland were minimal.

Many Demon Kings had retreated into the mountains.

It seemed this was due to the Celestial Cyan Demon Emperor’s fear of the Earth Dragon Demon Emperor, relinquishing some territory in the Celestial Departure Grassland.

Incidentally, there’s a Rhino-Horned Deer Demon King with notable talent, and although Ye Jingcheng previously only took its blood, he might have an opportunity to return, and subdue the Rhino-Horned Deer Demon King.
