Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Celestial Phoenix Oasis, halfway up Celestial Shadow Peak, the Ye Clan Academy Hall is situated here.

The entire hall has five layers, constructed grandly.

The plaque of the clan study hall was inscribed by Ye Xuecang himself, its three big characters containing an inexplicable Sword Intent.

The entire hall is divided into the inner hall and the outer hall; the inner hall studies clan knowledge, records clan history, engraves clan teachings, while the outer hall instructs cultivation techniques, teaches the Four Arts, and practices spiritual techniques.

At this moment on the square in front of the outer hall, Ye Xingshui is leading more than two hundred children just over ten years old, holding an array disc with only five array banners.

”Pay attention, everyone, arrays are one of the foundational stones of our Ye Family; once mastered, they are infinitely beneficial!”

He wore a stern look, reprimanding them.

Many children were somewhat intimidated, sitting straight and upright, not daring to move an inch.

But if someone were to look closely, they would notice that besides seriousness, Ye Xingshui’s eyes concealed a hint of leisurely delight.

This is the current state of many family members.

Since obtaining the Desert Sea, the cultivator race has been steadily growing, adding several hundred Immortal Seedlings every three years. There’s no worry of lacking Foundation Establishment Pills, or being unable to establish a foundation, nor concern over the absence of good spirit beasts.

If one makes an effort, there’s even a chance to enter the Four Great Beast Valleys and contract a spirit beast.

Externally, it’s held in high esteem by dozens of vassal forces in the Desert Sea.

A Ye Family Daoist Robe alone commands great respect from Foundation Establishment Cultivators.

But these Immortal Seedlings are incredibly important for the future of the Ye Family, thus Ye Xingshui felt compelled to be strict.

Speaking, he also demonstrated to the clan members.

The array disc drew into the void, and four array banners flew into the sky.

”Watch closely!” Ye Xingshui specifically reminded the members before the final finger formulas.

He especially inspected those with good Spirit Roots, and seeing them still focused and attentive, he proceeded with casting the Spirit Technique.

The Spiritual Light instantly connected into one.

A massive Golden Bell emerged in transformation.

Before Ye Xingshui could speak, the sky suddenly darkened, with looming storm clouds and fierce winds.

The Golden Bell quickly faded in brilliance, and the entire Celestial Shadow Peak and Celestial Phoenix Oasis turned profoundly dark.

And to think, just a moment ago, it was clear skies with the sun shining high.

The change in scene happened so rapidly.

”Uncle Xingshui is amazing, I want to learn this array!” Instantly, a young voice cheered repeatedly.

”Uncle Xingshui, what array is this? It’s so powerful, it turned black instantly!”

”Surely it’s the Grand Black Prison Array, I’ve heard, once the array is deployed, the state becomes a prison, all trapped without resistance!”

...

The other youths echoed enthusiastically.

Such an array, turning the sky in a blink to dense with clouds, was truly heart-stirring.

Only Ye Xingshui’s face was iron-black, full of dark lines.

The array he deployed was a Tier One Golden Bell Array, not some Black Prison Array.

They’re overestimating him too much!

Yet he did not correct the youths, suddenly recalling something, he gazed towards the top of Celestial Shadow Peak.

Indeed, a mighty aura erupted from there.

The kind of aura he had once experienced near Ye Jingcheng, its mere residue left him fearful.

Moreover, there were many Purple Mansion Cultivators emerging on Celestial Shadow Peak, flying into the sky, and even the clan’s Demon Hunting Hall cultivators were starting to form battle arrays, patrolling the outskirts of the oasis.

The Four Great Beast Valleys also transmitted roars one after another, completely stirring up the oasis.

The Celestial Phoenix Array and Thick Earth Yellow Dragon Array activated instantly.

”Fourth Grandpa is finally going to break through!” Ye Xingshui was filled with joy.

This was no array; this was clearly the Thunder Tribulation!

Ye Xuefan had been in seclusion for over ten years, finally about to break through to Golden Core, becoming the Ye Family’s third Golden Core Cultivator.

This holds immense significance for the Ye Family.

And Ye Xuefan is an Array Master; once Ye Xuefan breaks through, the Ye Family’s array realm will advance substantially.

By then, the Celestial Phoenix Oasis will be safer.

In the sky, Ye Xueliang, Ye Jingfeng, Ye Xingyu, and Ye Xingxiao, all Purple Mansion cultivators, appeared as well.

They exchanged glances, unable to suppress joy in their eyes.

With an additional Golden Core, the Ye Family’s actions will be more convenient.

”Everyone stay alert to prevent unexpected incidents, especially in the Four Great Beast Valleys!” Ye Xueliang, being of the highest generation, reminded the others amidst the joy.

The Ye Family’s Four Great Beast Valleys have many Great Demons yet to be contracted, though some have been tamed, such primal attractions of the Great Dao may cause chaos.

Golden Core breakthroughs and Thunder Tribulations mustn’t be disturbed or interrupted.

Moreover, the Celestial Departure Grassland may release a Great Demon Demon King to interfere.

Thus, there’s much to be wary of.

Besides a few individuals, Chu Yanqing also emerged, with Ye Xuecang gone to Cyan Cloud Sea; presently, Chu Yanqing is the highest in cultivation at Celestial Phoenix Oasis, naturally, she had to stand forth.

With Chu Yanqing’s appearance, the few others also sighed in relief.

While they didn’t know Chu Yanqing’s true abilities, being Late Stage of Purple Mansion, coupled with her Spirit Body, her combat power ranks within the top five in the Ye family.

At this moment, everyone’s eyes were drawn to the peak of Celestial Shadow Peak, the heart of the Tier Five Spiritual Vein, where Spiritual Energy is densest, and where all phenomena emanated.

Chu Yanqing stepped forward, releasing a dark Spirit Shadow, surprisingly unveiling a Primordial Demon Crystal Jade Bed.

This Jade Bed can restrain heart demons, and since Ye Xuefan had already gone into seclusion and couldn’t be disturbed before, it wasn’t delivered. Now, it’s just the right moment as he has just broken through and is preparing to undergo the Heart Demon Tribulation.

...

At the peak of the mountain, Ye Xuefan was now showing a smile, his white hair behind his ear moving without wind.

He introspected within himself, only to see a golden core the size of a dragon’s eye floating above his Dantian.

Although it’s just the initial entry into the Golden Core, and the condensed core is only a middle-grade Golden Core, it was enough to delight him.

”This is...” Ye Xuefan looked up and saw the Jade Bed flying over, and in the next moment, he was even more pleased.

What could be more gratifying than having family bring you a treasure to overcome the Heart Demon Tribulation right after a breakthrough?

He took the Jade Bed, sat upon it, and felt the chill coming from it, suddenly clear-headed.

Not long after, the Heart Demon Tribulation descended.

He felt his eyes begin to blur, his memories starting to dull.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in the Taihang Mountain Range, with Ye Xuecang’s figure landing beside him.

”Xuefan, don’t worry, once my father breaks through, our Ye Family will become a Golden Core Clan!”

”Your father is a renowned Grand Array Master, and it’s fortunate we have him this time,” Ye Xuecang continued.

Ye Xuefan didn’t answer, just continued looking into the distance, where beast tides were surging.

His pupils held fear, even though there was an Earth Dragon Demon King present, the Ye Family had no other Golden Core battle power.

In front of the mountain, his father Ye Shengxuan was controlling three Tier Three Arrays.

The familiar yet unfamiliar figure stirred something in Ye Xuefan’s heart.

He didn’t understand why he felt estranged; after all, that was his father!

And just at that moment, he felt the lingering power of the Gold Condensing Pill mingling with the chill of the Jade Bed in his mind, bringing clarity.

He finally realized he was in the Heart Demon Tribulation, and everything before him was false.

He wanted to move forward, to see Ye Shengxuan’s face.

The face he had only dreamt of numerous times.

Compared to many years ago, he now could see more details.

And with that look, his eyes moistened, for Ye Shengxuan had already used the Blood Burning Secret Technique, communicated with spirit beasts, and even consumed an Overdraft Spiritual Pill unbeknownst to others.

The world knew Ye Shengyi’s breakthrough in the Taihang Mountain Range failed, sending him retreating in defeat.

But they didn’t know it was his father, Ye Xuefan, left behind to sacrifice, controlling three arrays until he couldn’t hold them anymore!

Now looking back, perhaps they had long agreed, no matter success or failure, Ye Shengyi was to be in the first echelon of sacrifice if something happened.

It’s no wonder, since then, Ye Shengyi had taken great care of him, and he never lacked spirit pills!

Ye Xuefan thought seeing through the Heart Demon Tribulation would bring ease, but clarity only brought more pain at this moment.

He wanted to move forward but found himself unable to move.

He wanted to speak:

”Father... I’ve broken through to Golden Core!”

But after pondering for a moment, he spoke again:

”Father, there are still flaws in this array, it should...”

The figure seemed to hear him and was about to turn around, but halfway through, it shattered, and the illusion disappeared.

Leaving only overflowing sadness, gripping his heart.

For a long time, he couldn’t calm down.

And the Heart Demon Tribulation transformed again, but whether it was the Penglai Sect or people from the Upper Realm appearing, Ye Xuefan no longer immersed himself.

These hundreds of years of ebb and flow had long made his heart as steadfast as a rock, plus the reinforcement of the Gold Condensing Pill and the Primordial Demon Crystal Jade Bed, he overcame the Heart Demon Tribulation one by one.

But in his heart, that silhouette continued to surface.

He opened his eyes, and everything before him reverted to the familiar scene of Celestial Shadow Peak.

The surrounding thunderclouds had already rolled in, thunder arcs weaving through them, seemingly ready to fall at any moment.

The surrounding Ye Family Members eagerly watched.

Looking at the third Golden Core cultivator of the Ye Family.

Ye Xuefan also descended from Celestial Shadow Peak, heading to the pre-arranged place to cross the tribulation.

Although it was possible to cross the tribulation on Celestial Shadow Peak, the tribulation thunder could damage the peak, which wouldn’t be worth it to Ye Xuefan.

Entering the mountain, Ye Xuefan continued to draw out the Array Banners, and what once were challenging Tier Four Array Discs, now seemed much simpler to execute.

He used three arrays to weaken the power of the tribulation thunder.

He was not a Body Cultivator, but whenever a tribulation thunder fell, he would let some remain to enter his body.

Ye Xuefan’s Golden Core was just a middle-grade one, so there were only two tribulation thunders to undergo.

After the two were over, the Celestial Phoenix Oasis burst into waves of congratulatory cheers from the clan.

”Xueliang congratulates Fourth Brother for breaking through to Golden Core, achieving True Master status!”

”Nephew congratulates Fourth Uncle for breaking through to Golden Core, achieving True Master status!”

...

Amidst the continuous congratulations, Ye Xuefan nodded.

”Yanqing, this is the insight from my breakthrough. It’s not very complete, but it might be useful for you!” Ye Xuefan handed a Jade Talisman to Chu Yanqing.

Chu Yanqing, now at the Late Stage of the Purple Mansion, was soon to make a breakthrough himself.

He naturally wouldn’t withhold any of his insights.

”Xueliang, Xingxiao, thank you both for being my Guardians!” Ye Xuefan expressed his gratitude before falling into Celestial Shadow Peak to consolidate his cultivation.
