Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Lingyun Peak grew lively once again as the Purple Mansion Ceremony drew near.

Spirit Birds flew through the air, trained Mountain-devouring Rats scurried about, and Spring Tea bushes covered the slopes.

The whole Lingyun Peak was brimming with vitality, no worse in the slightest than ten years ago.

At the foot of the mountain, many cultivators had already gathered early.

These cultivators, in twos and threes, had even begun organizing small temporary trade fairs on the little peaks around Lingyun Peak.

“Truly worthy of being the Lingyun Ye Family.” Most cultivators at this time were still discussing heatedly.

“Yeah, even after so many Beast Tides, the Ye Family just keeps developing better and better, even the Spirit Vein of Lingyun Peak is getting stronger!”

“A land that nurtures outstanding people—future Purple Mansion cultivators will probably emerge endlessly, they might even one day impact the level of a Golden Core Clan!”

“I heard the previous Patriarch of the Ye Family even discovered a Secret Realm in the Taihang Mountain Range, and with their close ties to the Taiyi Sect, they likely already have the foundations of a Golden Core Clan!”

Everyone was still talking, when they noticed that even though the Purple Mansion Ceremony had yet to begin, there was already free Spirit Tea being served in the distance.

Though it was just the Ye Family’s most ordinary Spring Tea, it was still Entry Tier Spirit Tea, and many cultivators were quite delighted.

At such grand ceremonies, you usually only needed to prepare a gift, and you could enjoy a Spiritual Cuisine banquet, listen to a sermon, and if you were lucky, even set up a stall to sell some treasures.

So for many Loose Cultivators, it was extremely cost-effective.

“It’s not just Spirit Tea. You’ll know once you go take a look—this time the Ye Family is truly generous!” The one who had already received Spirit Tea was savoring the aftertaste and couldn’t help spreading the word.

This naturally made the other cultivators even more curious.

They hurriedly asked, but that person just put on a mysterious air and only told everyone to go and see for themselves.

Wang Xianyu was a small Loose Cultivator, and he couldn’t help feeling tempted. He quickly brought along his son, who had tested Spirit Roots in his teens, and headed toward the Ye Family’s Lingyun Peak.

When they arrived at the foot of Lingyun Peak, they indeed saw pavilions, where members of the Ye Family were handing out Spirit Tea, and also distributing Tokens one by one.

“Keep it safe, this is the Ye Family’s Spirit Stone Order. With this Order, you can go to the Ye Family Tavern or Pill Pavilion and Artifact Workshop in Taihang Market. You’ll pay ten Spirit Stones less on any Spiritual Objects purchased, and one year from now the Ye Family will hold an auction. Many treasures obtained from the Secret Realm this time will be put up for auction!” A Ye clansman in a Daoist Robe was explaining to all the Loose Cultivators.

Hearing this, Wang Xianyu’s face was filled with joy.

He had only prepared a gift worth a few dozen Spirit Stones; now he could not only listen to a Purple Mansion sermon, but also partake in Spiritual Cuisine, Spiritual Food, and Spirit Tea, and even receive a Spirit Stone Order worth ten Spirit Stones.

Naturally he hurried to line up at the back.

…

On the mountain, Ye Jingyu’s appearance had currently been changed into Ye Jingcheng’s. Beside him stood Ye Jing Yun, Ye Jingli, and Ye Jing Hu.

Ye Jingli had already returned early from Cyan Willow Lake. Seeing Ye Jingyu, he was extremely happy, but right now his gaze was on the distribution of Spirit Stone Orders at the foot of the mountain.

“The clan has accumulated quite a few treasures over these years. Hopefully this round of publicity will work!” Ye Jingyu couldn’t help saying.

Although the Ye Family had held an auction when the Beast Tide ended, the result hadn’t been ideal, as the Beast Tide had just ended.

Neither the number of cultivators nor their purchasing power had met the Ye Family’s expectations.

This time, there would definitely be plenty of Qi Refining and Foundation Establishment Loose Cultivators coming for the Purple Mansion Ceremony, and probably quite a few small clans as well.

It was just the right time for some promotion.

As for the Secret Realm treasure auction, that was the Secret Realm story the Ye Family had previously spread to give Ye Jingcheng and the others a reason to go to the Desert Sea.

Now they just had to wait until the Teleportation Array was set up. Once they reestablished exchange with the Desert Sea, they could bring out treasures for auction.

Whether it was Spirit Fruits or Magical Artifacts from the Desert Sea, they could bring out a portion as appropriate. After all, environments inside Secret Realms varied greatly; as long as they didn’t bring out treasures that were too distinctive, there would basically be no problem.

Of course, the most crucial point was that both the Taiyi Sect and the Tian Dao Sect now stood on the Ye Family’s side.

It was no longer like back then.

“When the time comes, Old Six can also show off more. Your reputation in the Yan Kingdom is not small now!” Ye Jingyu cast another glance at Ye Jingli.

Ye Jingli’s Tri-Colored Bone Fire Beads and even Four-Colored Bone Fire Beads had become famous during the last Beast Tide, and the various Magical Artifacts he refined were also well-known.

“Fourth Brother, you’re teasing me again. My shabby little skills hardly deserve to be shown in public; people just exaggerate is all!” Ye Jingli spoke modestly, but in truth, he was in excellent spirits.

He refined Magical Artifacts precisely for this moment.

And this was recognition coming from his own Fourth Brother!

“Sixth Brother, that’s because you haven’t gone to Taihang Market. As long as a Magical Artifact is said to be refined by you, it really can sell for far more Spirit Stones!” Ye Jing Yun added on the side.

For a while, everyone’s faces were full of smiles.

Ye Jingli had now also broken through to the Late Stage of Foundation Establishment, and the Lingyun Ye Family’s strength was already quite considerable.

“Right, Fourth Brother, among the Loose Cultivators we’ve discovered spies from the Jin Family and the Kong Family. Also, according to what Qing Yan said, they should arrive at Lingyun Peak in two days. There will be many Ascendants coming this time, but among True Masters it’s only Master Tianzhen and Master Ziyue who are coming!” Ye Jing Yun added.

“So the Jin Family and Kong Family really might show up. You need to keep a close eye on this!” Ye Jingyu also found it strange that so few True Masters from the Taiyi Sect were coming.

He couldn’t help but wonder if Fairy Linghong of the Taiyi Sect was about to break through.

After all, by his calculation, she had been in Seclusion for over twenty years.

Even if her foundation hadn’t been that deep before, a breakthrough after such a long Seclusion should be about due.

“If the Jin Family and Kong Family do show up, arrange for them to stay in the courtyards with Shadow Wood Puppets.” Ye Jingyu gave further instructions, then turned to look at Ye Jing Hu.

“Jing Hu, how did the Tian Dao Sect respond?”

“The Xiao Family, as well as the Gu Family and Xuan Family, should all be coming. In addition, Master Mo Dao also agreed to come.” Ye Jing Hu replied slowly.

The Xiao Family and Xuan Family were both Purple Mansion Clans from Celestial Arrival Commandery, while the Gu Family was even a Golden Core Clan.

This time the Ye Family had invited quite a few cultivators from Celestial Arrival Commandery, as well as many cultivators from Taichang Commandery and Taiqing Commandery.

Although quite a bit of Taiqing Commandery has been carved away, there are still many Foundation Establishment Clans here, though there is currently not yet any Purple Mansion Clan.

As for the previous Purple Mansion Clans in Taiqing Commandery, the Wan Family was exterminated, and the remaining clans such as the Cheng Family have all already thrown themselves under the Qinghe Sect. The Ye Family naturally could not go invite them.

“Well done!” Ye Jingyu could not help but praise.

This instantly made Ye Jing Hu beam with delight.

At this moment he also realized the gap between himself and Ye Jingyun and Ye Jingyu. When he handled one particular matter, he was actually not bad, but if he were to be put in charge of the overall situation, he was still somewhat lacking.

For example, timely praise, and the details of every single matter—he believed he could not manage those.

Of course, now his mindset had also been adjusted. Once the Teleportation Array was opened, he would go to the Talisman Hall to take a post; as for the rest, he no longer wanted to take them on.

Then he would start raising the Thunder Roc and focus on cultivation.

He had heard that Ye Qingshuang was already at the Middle Stage of Foundation Establishment, and the Ye Family’s Ye Yunxi was also at the Early Stage of Foundation Establishment. If he did not work hard, he truly feared he would be overtaken by the Ye Family’s Qing Generation and Yun Generation.

That would be a disgrace to the Thunder Spirit Root.

…

Another three days passed. As a wisp of Chen Xi appeared at the edge of the sky, several Red Birds flew out of the mountains.

They let out long cries in the air without cease. The Array over Lingyun Peak also gathered countless auspicious clouds, which settled in midair.

The entire Lingyun Peak was festooned with lanterns and colored banners, an exceptionally splendid sight.

The Purple Mansion ceremony had finally arrived.

Countless Cultivators flew over from the various peaks.

Those Purple Mansion Golden Core Cultivators would naturally not come until after noon.

But most Cultivators had to arrive early and wait at the foot of Lingyun Peak to be admitted and seated.

This was an unwritten rule of the Cultivation Realm.

Of course, coming earlier also had its benefits. Spirit Fruit and Spirit Tea would be prepared by the Ye Family ahead of time and refreshed at intervals.

All the Loose Cultivator guests, so long as they did not secretly stash things away, could freely eat as they pleased.

The Cultivators attending this ceremony were not few. Ye Jing Hu was at this moment on the plaza of the peak, looking at so many Cultivators showing their support, and for a time his heroic spirit surged.

After all, this was his own ceremony.

But very soon he reined in his pride. He was very clear that Ye Jingcheng had already formed his Golden Core.

If he could one day hold a Golden Core ceremony, that would truly be impressive.

Dong!

Dong!

As the gongs sounded, Cultivators were already ascending the mountain and taking their seats. From the foot of Lingyun Peak up to the mountainside, many pavilions had been set up; most Cultivators would sit here, while those of higher status—Foundation Establishment Cultivators and even Foundation Establishment Powers—would be on the mountainside. As for Purple Mansion Golden Core Cultivators, they would be received in front of and within the Assembly Hall.

Of course, the greatest difference still lay in the gifts presented.

Tier One Treasures presented by Qi Cultivators and Qi Cultivation Clans naturally drew no cheers.

Foundation Establishment Clans and Foundation Establishment Cultivators would receive cheers, but it would be the Qi Cultivators cheering; only for Purple Mansion and above would Foundation Establishment Cultivators cheer, and there would even be layered auspicious phenomena.

“Loose Cultivator Xiao Yufeng of East Sun Peak congratulates Lei Hu Ascendant on his breakthrough and specially presents a single stalk of Tier Two Seeking Sun Grass!”

“Xun Ke Wei of the Xun Family of Taichang Commandery congratulates Lei Hu Ascendant on his breakthrough and specially presents one piece of Tier Two Profound Sun Stone!”

…

Ye Jing Hu’s Daoist title had been taken precisely from his own Spirit Root and given name.

When choosing his name, he had even thought that in the future, he must subdue a Thunder Attribute Spirit Tiger as his Spirit Pet.

And at this very moment, the Wei Family could be seen arriving in the distance.

Wei Dazhong was still broad-shouldered and portly, striding forward with great steps as he led his clansmen up.

After a short while, a clansman loudly announced:

“Wei Dazhong of the Cloud Lake Wei Family congratulates Lei Hu Ascendant on his breakthrough and specially presents one cub of the Tier Three Great Demon Luoyun Tiger!” As this congratulatory call rang out—

Ye Jing Hu was also stunned.

This Luoyun Tiger had no small reputation, and its cub was naturally of no low value.

The Wei Family had offered Golden Dragon Fish last time, and this time they were gifting a Luoyun Tiger cub. This truly shocked Ye Jing Hu and the other high-ranking members of the Ye Family.

“I’d wager it’s because the Jin Family ran off, and he fears our Ye Family will keep pursuing the matter and not even leave them a Tier Two Mountain Peak. It has to be said, this Wei Dazhong really is a man of good fortune!” Ye Jingyun could not help but speak via Transmission.

The Wei Family had previously sided with the Qinghe Sect and had nearly been uprooted, leaving only Wei Dazhong as a single Foundation Establishment Cultivator.

Now it was said that there were already five or six Foundation Establishment Cultivators in the clan.

And that was only on the surface; in secret there were likely even more. The Wei Family’s method of crafting Spirit Talismans was indeed impressive.

They had earned no small amount of Spirit Stones. Most crucially, they were willing to bleed themselves dry to buy Foundation Establishment Pills.

At every auction, the Wei Family had only one target: Foundation Establishment Pills.

By contrast, they were rather uninterested in Magical Artifacts and other Treasures!

“He truly is a remarkable fellow!” Ye Jingyu could not help but remark as well.

Of course, at this moment Ye Jingyu’s gaze was on the horizon. He was waiting for the people of the Taiyi Sect to arrive, and also for Master Mo Dao to arrive!
