Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

The area in front of the mountain peak was lively, and the square on the mountain peak was equally bustling. At this moment, nearly three hundred children were waiting in front of the square.

Unlike in the past, when the Ye Family checked for Immortal Seedlings, they needed concealment. Now, the Immortal Seedling examination was to be done in public.

After all, this was the best way to motivate the clan members.

Besides the Ye Family members, there were also many mortal village chiefs present.

They were wearing simple attire, not daring to cast a single extra gaze, and their bodies were even trembling. Of course, it was not just because of fear, but also due to nervousness.

Especially upon hearing that the ten villages producing the most Immortal Seedlings would be especially praised by the Ye Family.

Furthermore, they would be given some Spirit Pills, which, though unable to allow them to cultivate, could keep them healthy and stronger than ordinary mortals.

They were even more thrilled, having previously tested the Immortal Seedlings in their respective villages, so all the Immortal Seedlings here possessed Spirit Roots.

Nearly three hundred Immortal Seedlings with Spirit Roots appearing together was an exciting scene, both for mortals and for the Ye Family itself.

On the huge square, Ye Family cultivators had already begun organizing. This time, the temporary caretaker was the Miscellaneous Affairs Hall, overseen by Ye Xingxiao, the Vice Hall Master. Though his Alchemy Skill was exceptional, the Pill Hall had too many cultivators, so he was tasked with overseeing Clan Studies in the Miscellaneous Affairs Hall.

This was also to bring female cultivators back into the Ye Family’s view. Unlike at Lingyun Peak, where there were more female cultivators, other families would certainly seek marriage alliances, disrupting the Ye Family’s Inner Hall’s beast communication arrangements.

It might even result in leaks of the Ye Family’s Beast Communication Pattern.

But in the Desert Sea, it was no problem. Other cultivators wishing to marry a female cultivator from the Ye Family would have to marry into the family; there would be no marrying out.

Naturally, this eliminated such concerns.

Ye Jingcheng was also present with Chu Yanqing on the observatory platform, watching the Immortal Ascension Conference below.

“In ten more years, our child will be ready too!” Chu Yanqing exclaimed radiantly. Compared to before, she was much gentler, yet more sentimental.

While the Ye Family members observed, the auspicious time arrived.

In front of the array of Immortal Seedlings were three large double-eared incense burners.

Inside the burners, large quantities of sandalwood were being burned.

The sandalwood smoke transformed into smoke dragons, ascending towards the sky, dancing in concert with the Celestial Phoenix in the sky, creating a majestic and magnificent spectacle.

The Ye Family members and even the mortal village chiefs were all solemn and dignified. This moment was the most sacred ceremony belonging to the Ye Family.

Due to the “academic” generation being in seclusion, Ye Haicheng stood at the forefront, fittingly as the current patriarch of the entire Ye Family.

He began reciting the sacrificial text, and simultaneously, spiritual rain representative of auspiciousness descended from the sky.

The Ye Family’s Celestial Shadow Peak was a Tier Five Spiritual Vein, so some spiritual rain was naturally insignificant.

Such spiritual rain had little effect on cultivators because the Ye Family controlled its concentration.

But it left a profound impression on the Qi Cultivation Race People, the Immortal Seedlings, and mortal village chiefs, causing them to continuously bow in reverence.

At that moment, on the directive of Ye Haicheng, the other Ye Family members followed suit. Soon, with the convergence of the three smoke dragons, the spiritual rain ceased, marking the end of the ceremony.

“The Immortal Ascension Conference begins…” Ye Haicheng announced loudly!

Ye Xingxiao waved her hand, releasing ten small seals from her sleeve, transforming into ten Immortal Ascension Platforms on the square.

All Immortal Seedlings began stepping forward one by one to undergo testing.

In front of the Immortal Ascension Platforms, aside from the Spirit Testing Stones, there was also a basin. All Immortal Seedlings needed to immerse their hands in the basin before placing them on the Spirit Testing Stones.

It appeared to be a hand-washing ritual, but in reality, it was the Ye Family inspecting the bloodline.

However, the basin had a layer of Forbidden Array on it, making it invisible to the other observers, only visible to the mirrors in the hands of certain elders in the Ye Family.

The matter of the bloodline concerned the Ye Family’s Inner Hall and Beast Communication Patterns, as well as the clan’s stability; naturally, it was unnecessary for anyone other than clan elders to know.

As if planned, among the first ten, three had Dual Spirit Roots, and the remaining seven had Three Spirit Roots!

However, to Ye Jingcheng’s disappointment, only five had Ye Family bloodlines.

And among them, only one possessed Dual Spirit Roots.

The process thereafter went smoothly.

Out of two hundred and eighty-seven Immortal Seedlings, one hundred and nine had Ye Family bloodlines, and one hundred and seventy-eight did not.

This time, there were no Celestial Spirit Roots or Abnormal Spirit Roots, but there were eight with Dual Spirit Roots and over fifty with Three Spirit Roots.

For the Ye Family, this was not bad.

At this point, surnames were bestowed upon all, and those not carrying the Ye surname began receiving it.

Of course, in the Ye Family’s genealogy, such bestowed surnames were marked.

These clan members could marry Ye Family members, allowing their offspring to potentially inherit Ye Family bloodlines.

Once the announcement for Immortal Seedlings was complete, Ye Xingxiao announced the top ten villages.

Of these ten villages, unsurprisingly, six were from Celestial Phoenix Oasis, with the remaining four from other large oases.

The ten mortals, under everyone’s gaze, received Ye Xingxiao’s Spirit Pill rewards.

The exhilarated ten nearly shed tears.

And the observing mortal village chiefs secretly started exerting themselves, likely ready to encourage procreation upon returning.

Even if only one out of a thousand had a Spirit Root, they believed that more children would inevitably mean more Immortal Seedlings!

Once the mortal village chiefs received their rewards, cultivators were arranged to escort them back.

“Alright, next is the announcement of the Ye Family’s future clan allowances and clan rules, as well as the ten hall entrances…” Ye Haicheng began announcing the plan devised by the Ye Family.

For all clan members, this was the most crucial moment. This plan did not differentiate between Hidden Peak and Lingyun Peak, and the Ye Family had completely eliminated such barriers.

The current Hidden Peak belonged to the Hidden Hall, offering additional allowances, open to anyone willing to join.

Of course, one’s skills must be robust enough.

There were awards for childbearing, improvements in competitions, and allowances for the Four Skills of Cultivation, inspiring all clan members.

Indeed, every clan member in attendance was motivated.

Those with high aptitude would cultivate and strive to win competitions; those in good health would contribute assiduously to the Ye Family; even if neither was appealing, they could learn the Four Skills of Cultivation; failing that, they could join one of the Ye Family’s ten halls.

“Next, the announcement of assignments for hall masters and vice hall masters for each hall…” After announcing the clan rules and allowance policies, Ye Haicheng proceeded with the hall assignments.

Ye Jingcheng was appointed the Hall Master of the Pill Hall.

To Ye Jingcheng’s surprise, Chu Yanqing became the Hall Master of the Artifact Hall because discussions in previous days had revealed a different intention for the position.

In the Ye Family, the highest skills in artifact refining naturally belonged to Chu Yanqing and Ye Haicheng.

Chu Yanqing was momentarily stunned but ultimately accepted the position.

Ye Jingcheng quickly grasped the situation; marrying into the Ye Family could still render someone a significant figure in the clan, encouraging others to aspire to such unions.

Of course, Ye Jingcheng understood that Chu Yanqing served more as an example, given her exceptional artifact refining skills.

Others desiring such positions would face tremendous difficulty.

As the Ye Family would not permit critical figures to lack Ye Family bloodlines.

Even if Chu Yanqing served as the Artifact Hall’s Hall Master, she mostly held a nominal role, with Ye Xingyu acting as Vice Hall Master.

Ye Xingyu was now at the Foundation Establishment Peak, with the breakthrough to the Purple Mansion on the horizon, well-experienced in the Ye Family.

Once all assignments were complete, everyone in the Ye Family engaged in spirited discussions, savoring the moment endlessly.

Of course, many more were silently resolved, fearing insufficient clan Spirit Stones, naturally eager to promptly enjoy the benefits of the Ye Family’s new policy.

After all, as long as they took the first step quickly, subsequent steps would follow swiftly.

Simultaneously, some cultivators were secretly preparing to join some of the more lucrative halls.

Such as the Law Enforcement Hall, or the Miscellaneous Affairs Hall, failing which, they would join the Foreign Affairs Tower.

The Foreign Affairs Tower traversed the Desert Sea; which affiliated force would not offer some respect? Traditionally, the Desert Sea was home to Loose Cultivators, who acted with impunity; now those with strength had established families, and any desire to behave as before required careful consideration.

The clan meeting continued until dusk fell, and the large crimson sun, redder than before, bestowed upon the Ye Family meeting an exquisite and complete finale!
