Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 168: Chapter 168: Family Bestows Treasures

Under the sunset, the land was harmonious, filled with golden hues, reminiscent of the bountiful scenes of autumn harvest.

A spiritual ship descended with the evening glow, alongside the solitary birds in the sky.

On the spiritual ship, Ye Jingcheng and Ye Jingyu stood together, letting the sunset illuminate their faces, their eyes slightly squinting.

An inexplicable sense of comfort and serenity.

Although Taihang Mountain held countless opportunities, only Lingyun Peak provided them with such peace of mind.

Due to the fact that the spiritual ship was only a Tier One ship, it still took the two of them two days to return to Lingyun Peak.

As for the solitary bird, it was uncertain whose spirit beast it was.

Upon seeing the spiritual ship descend, it continued circling in the air, making a large, polite gesture with its wings.

Seeing this, the two couldn’t help but smile.

Ye Jingcheng even tossed out a Spirit Nourishing Pill.

The bird immediately snatched it and, stretching its neck, swallowed it, then performed even more vigorously.

However, as it performed, its body couldn’t help but drop, looking rather comical.

But every time it fell a little, it would fly up a little again.

Until Ye Jingyu also took out a Spirit Nourishing Pill, the solitary bird happily flew towards Lingyun Peak, eventually disappearing from sight.

The two watched the solitary bird fly away, smiling.

They took out their clan tokens, the array opened instantly, and the clouds parted into two paths.

The two landed on the mountain path of Lingyun Peak.

This time returning, it was still during summer, and a faint fragrance of flowers lingered in the air.

“Father summons!” Just then, a jade talisman flew over, caught by Ye Jingyu.

Ye Jingyu looked at Ye Jingcheng.

“Alright, Fourth Brother!” Ye Jingcheng nodded, despite being curious about his tea trees and the Black Cloud Flower, Purple Illusion Flower, and Poison Thorn Flower.

But at this moment, time was not of the essence.

The two arrived at the Assembly Hall, where Ye Xingliu had clearly been waiting for a long time.

“Third Uncle!”

“Father!” Both saluted respectfully.

“Not bad, you’ve both achieved Foundation Establishment, the family was not wrong about you!” Ye Xingliu praised, looking exceptionally pleased.

He then poured tea for Ye Jingcheng and Ye Jingyu, which made both of them feel flattered.

Ye Jingcheng didn’t say much, and even Ye Jingyu, who Ye Xingliu was usually very strict with, felt a bit intimidated by him.

“Thank you, Third Uncle. This breakthrough is also thanks to the family!” Ye Jingcheng replied.

Only then did he accept the teacup with both hands.

But he didn’t drink immediately; he waited until Ye Xingliu drank, then he drank.

Not overstepping; although he had achieved Foundation Establishment, he was still a junior in the family, and this etiquette could not be neglected for a day.

“Jingyu, Jingcheng, these are gifts from the family prepared for your Foundation Establishment!” After drinking the tea, Ye Xingliu took out two storage bags and gave them to Ye Jingcheng and Ye Jingyu.

Seeing their curiosity, Ye Xingliu motioned for them to open and check.

Ye Jingyu opened the storage bag, revealing a Black Wind Banner with three beast souls attached.

Just holding the banner in hand, one could feel its extraordinary nature; it was clearly a magical artifact specially refined for Ye Jingyu.

Seeing this, Ye Jingcheng also opened his storage bag. As he currently had no Tier Two spiritual artifact, he longed for one of his own after fiddling with the Red Feather Spear.

Opening the storage bag, Ye Jingcheng pulled out a black Profound Cauldron.

The cauldron was covered in spirit patterns, its body emanating a dim light, and was equally extraordinary.

“This cauldron is called the Zhenyuan Cauldron, combining trapping, suppressing, and defense. Jingcheng, try inputting spiritual energy to see if it suits you,” Ye Xingliu said with a smile.

Ye Jingcheng nodded, and as he inputted spiritual energy, the spirit patterns on the cauldron emerged, and the Zhenyuan Cauldron instantly enlarged by dozens of times, drastically increasing in weight, yet Ye Jingcheng could easily control its movement and shifting.

Its interior contained three arrays, corresponding to suppression, trapping, and defense.

Ye Jingcheng was extremely satisfied.

He had Four-Phase Spirit Beasts, so he wouldn’t lack for offense. This was just the treasure he needed for defense and entrapment.

“Thank you, Third Uncle!” Ye Jingcheng affectionately touched the cauldron’s patterns, then put it away, expressing his gratitude again.

“This is what you deserve. Now I know, you are the family’s top Alchemy Master, and in the future, the family will undoubtedly need your support!”

Ye Xingliu continued, and Ye Jingcheng learned that the situation at Taihang Market was rather unfavorable.

The Chen Family’s family grounds frequently encountered disturbances, repeatedly raided by unknown tribulation cultivators.

The Chen Family’s ancestor was still secluded at Taichang Market.

Apart from the Chen Family, the Li Family appeared to be in cahoots as well.

They were constantly looking for troubles with the Ye Family.

There were even skirmishes occurring at some borders between the two families.

The sect had been reported, but they treated it with indifference.

They seemed intentionally neglecting the reshuffling of powers in Taihang Mountain.

This was the reason why Ye Xingliu insisted on their return.

“Jingcheng, focus on refining spirit pills for now. The family will find wood attribute spirit beasts for you, and spirit beast meat will be sourced widely…” Ye Xingliu continued to advise Ye Jingcheng at the end.

The Ye Family wasn’t ready to make a move yet.

However, with Ye Jingcheng as an Alchemy Master, things had become more convenient, sparing Ye Haiyun the effort of refining pills beyond his tier.

Things were considerably better than before.

Ye Jingcheng was more than pleased; he had been worried about not finding wood attribute spirit beasts, and spirit beast meat had been his biggest concern upon returning to the family.

Now everything was resolved.

“By the way, Jingcheng and Jingyu, maintain control over your cultivation, don’t be too ostentatious!” Ye Xingliu added.

Both nodded, especially Ye Jingcheng, who had Four Spirit Roots; a speedy breakthrough in qi cultivation made sense, but his quick Foundation Establishment needed to be kept under wraps for a while.

Moreover, they had the Turtle Breath Concealing Qi Technique.

As long as they didn’t display it themselves, they wouldn’t have to worry about their cultivation being exposed.

After discussing the situation for a while, Ye Jingcheng and Ye Jingyu left one after the other.

Ye Jingcheng returned to his courtyard, where Ye Jingyu was still present and was quite surprised to see him return.

“Seventh Sister, thank you for your hard work!”

“It’s nothing, just using the Cloud-Forming and Rain-Spreading Technique every few days, and watching over the Five Poison Bees.” Ye Jingyu shook her head but then spoke with some envy:

“However, Jingcheng, your spirit flowers and grass seem quite unusual, perhaps this earth vein is somewhat special. You might consider planting some other spirit medicines!”

“Only growing poison flowers and ordinary spirit tea seems a bit wasteful!”

“Your suggestion is noted, Seventh Sister!” Ye Jingcheng nodded, acknowledging her idea,

In his heart, however, he knew otherwise; it wasn’t his earth vein that was special.

It was because he had infused a fair amount of treasure light, enhancing these spirit plants beyond ordinary ones, be it plants or seeds.

Fortunately, over the past year, he hadn’t had the chance to infuse more treasure light, otherwise, Ye Jingyu would have been even more surprised.
