My father sold me to the Mafia King

Chapter 420

Julie’s point of view

Marching up to his desk, I exploded in anger. ”That damned client of yours... tell him not to dare send a single thing to me ever again!”

Leaning back into his chair, he offered a flat response: ”Clients here usually send gifts to the girls they like.”

”I don’t understand how he could possibly like me when I insulted him and dragged his pride through the dirt yesterday?!” I spat bitterly.

Curling his lips, he replied with total indifference, ”He didn’t mention that you insulted him.”

”Because I actually did!...” I yelled in confusion. ”...So why would he keep quiet and hide it from you?!”

Resting his forearms on the desk, he murmured, ”Because everyone here flatters him... He is a dangerous man with an immense amount of influence. Perhaps he found a different kind of thrill with you because you spoke to him in such an extraordinary way.”

I froze in my tracks, stunned. Was it possible that there was a man on this earth with a functioning mind who found insult and disgust thrilling?!

”What kind of sick madness is this?!” I whispered in utter shock.

”To each their own nature,” he replied firmly. Standing up with a decisive motion, he pointed toward the door. ”Come... follow me.”

I walked behind him with a pounding heart until we reached that same cursed room. Opening the door, I found Mr. X standing in the corner in full posture, wearing his pitch-black mask and a pristine white suit.

Turning toward the masked man immediately, I shouted, ”Why didn’t you tell him that I insulted you last night?!”

For the very first time, I saw a flash of shock and annoyance cross Robert’s face as he barked, ”Shut up, Julie!”

Ignoring his command, I stepped right into the masked man’s space, pointing a sharp finger at him. ”Why are you standing there like a statue without saying a single word?! Putting a mask over your face and feeding him lies!”

Robert closed the distance in a flash, grabbing my shoulder with a sharp grip. ”Shut up right now!”

Meanwhile, that masked creep stood firm, watching the scene unfold from a distance without moving an inch.

I screamed into his face with all the malice I possessed: ”Sending me a gift and a vulgar card?! Do you think I’m a whore whose favor you can just buy, you filthy bastard?!”

Suddenly, Robert lunged forward, slamming his heavy palm tightly over my mouth, nearly suffocating me! Leaning his head near my ear, his voice came as a deadly whisper:

”One more word... and your brother Steve dies instantly, Julie.”

I dug my nails into his wrist, trying to pry his brutal hand off my face as I whispered in a voice torn apart by agony a whisper meant only for his ears:

”Do you really like this?... Does it satisfy you that he’s going to sleep with me, for hell’s sake?!”

His icy eyes locked onto mine as he uttered a single, merciless word:

”Yes.”

That single word felt like a poisoned dagger thrust straight into the center of my heart, twisting slowly. Despite all this living hell he was putting me through, despite the cruelty, the auctions, and the degradation... I loved him! Damn me, and damn this cursed love consuming my chest!

He pulled the black cloth strip from his pocket to cover my eyes, but I broke free from his grip with a sudden move, taking bold steps toward the masked freak.

”Do you want to see the gift you bought for me?!” I shouted in mad defiance.

My hands reached for the belt of my silk robe to untie it and reveal my pajamas, but Robert moved like lightning, violently yanking me backward by my arm to restore my balance.

”You are completely out of your mind, for heaven’s sake!” he growled under his breath.

”I want to show him the gifts he bought me!” I screamed, fighting against his grip.

Stunned, Robert barked in a sharp voice, ”This is an outrageous lack of respect!... How dare you do this while I am still standing right here?!”

I smiled with broken mockery. ”Really? Did he order you not to look at me while I’m naked?”

Turning back toward the masked man, I shouted, ”This man...”

Before I could finish my sentence, Robert wrapped the black cloth tightly around my mouth, pulling it taut from behind to silence me completely!

Then, he pulled a second black ribbon, binding it firmly over my eyes until pitch darkness wrapped around my vision once more.

Leaning close to my ear, his low voice rattled my core:

”You will pay a very steep price for this disrespect... If you remove this strip from your mouth or your eyes, Julie, I will kill your brother instantly! Do you understand me?”

A genuine shudder of terror ran through my limbs at the tone of his threat. I felt completely paralyzed, unable to even raise my hands.

He grabbed me, forcing me down onto the edge of the wooden mattress. Then, I heard his voice retreating as he spoke to the other man:

”Have a pleasant night, Mr. X.”

The heavy echo of his footsteps retreated, followed by the harsh bang of the door shutting tight.

I remained frozen in place, breathing heavily under the tight strip around my mouth, knowing that I was now trapped in this darkness with this monster all alone.

Agonizing seconds stretched on like an eternity... until slow, deliberate footsteps sliced through the quiet, approaching the bed.

The feet came to a stop right in front of me. Warm fingers reached toward the belt of my red robe, slowly untying the knot until the silk slipped open and fell off my shoulders.

I could only imagine the shock and confusion painted behind his black mask as he realized I was wearing a simple cotton pajama set instead of the revealing lingerie he had sent!

I couldn’t see or speak, but a rush of petty triumph surged in my chest, forcing a smirk under the gag.

Suddenly, his palm extended, slowly pulling the cloth strip down off my mouth. Drawing in a deep breath, I spoke with dripping sarcasm:

”Do you like my pajamas, Mr. X?”
