Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”Qian Qian, if you ever grow tired of this place, you must tell me. I will do everything I can to help you leave, no matter how difficult it may be.” Beitang Huan had a vague feeling that the road ahead for Xia Qingqian was indeed not easy.

Although she wanted Xia Qingqian to stay, the thought of her enduring such pain made her rather wish Qing Qian would leave and return to the world where she truly belonged.

Under everyone’s attentive care, Xia Qingqian’s complexion gradually regained its rosiness. And because of Beitang Huan, the steward no longer sought trouble, nor dared to make Xia Qingqian work.

Even Xiao Fen and Sister Chen had moved into the house Beitang Huan had refurbished. She and Qian Qian lived in a room on the second floor, while Xiao Fen and Sister Chen lived downstairs. Lao Chen commuted daily between the old master’s villa and the ranch.

When Sister Chen saw Lao Chen off, she asked, ”Lao Chen, how is Miss Xia’s health now?”

”Don’t worry too much, just continue to take good care of Miss Xia,” Lao Chen glanced at Sister Chen, recalling how it was all thanks to Xia Qingqian that his wife escaped the disaster of being thrown to the sharks.

”Lao Chen, Miss Xia is my benefactor. Speak a few kind words in front of the old master, so he can say something to Young Master Yao.” Sister Chen sighed, thinking of the hardship Xia Qingqian had endured in the past few months—things ordinary people could never bear, yet she endured them all.

Moreover, she was pregnant, enduring the torment and exploitation from the steward and others.

”Ah, my dear, just focus on taking care of Miss Xia. These matters are for the masters; we are powerless. The more we say, the more mistakes we might make. We could end up harming this good girl.” Lao Chen knew his wife wanted Xia Qingqian to live better, but who didn’t?

They also didn’t know what had happened that led Beitang Yao to make such a decision regarding Xia Qingqian.

Xia Qingqian was carrying Young Master Yao’s child. She should be well cared for, so why was she sent to the ranch?

”I’m going back to cook for Miss Xia.” Sister Chen whispered softly, then turned and went into the house to busy herself in the kitchen.

In the kitchen, Xiao Fang was picking vegetables, and Sister Chen walked over and chopped the ribs on the chopping board into little pieces, then put them into the pot.

After a while, the meals were ready and placed on the table.

Beitang Huan supported Xia Qingqian as they walked down from upstairs. Xiao Fen hurriedly scooped two bowls of rib soup and attended to Xia Qingqian and Beitang Huan as they took seats.

”Xiao Fen, Sister Chen, get the dishes and chopsticks from the kitchen and join us for a meal.” Beitang Huan learned from Xia Qingqian about the principle that everyone is equal.

Xiao Fen and Sister Chen were first stunned and, after regaining their composure, said, ”Miss Huan, we’ll eat in the kitchen later.”

”Xiao Fen, go get two sets of dishes and chopsticks.” Beitang Huan raised an eyebrow, clearly a bit displeased.

Seeing this, Xiao Fen dared not dawdle, so she turned and went into the kitchen to bring out the dishes and chopsticks.

”Qian Qian, look at how thin you’ve become. You need to eat more, okay?” Beitang Huan kept putting food into Xia Qingqian’s bowl. ”You’ve already suffered so much before, and I definitely won’t allow you to suffer again now.”

”Miss Huan, it’s thanks to you that Sister Xia’s health recovered so quickly.” Xiao Fen gently said as she picked up a piece of vegetable.
