Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 274: Chapter 275: Hidden Illness

”So, old chief, please help me temporarily keep this secret. I will find an appropriate time to explain it to her clearly.” Bo Sishen earnestly pleaded with Liao Jiawei.

”Since you all know each other, not revealing your identity will make it difficult to get along in the future. My Nian Nian, though filial and obedient, is not as gentle and easy to bully as she appears. She has quite a temper; even I don’t dare provoke her.” Liao Jiawei frowned and said.

Pausing for a bit, his tone became heavier as he said, ”Ah Shen, what did you just call me? Old chief?”

The tone carried a clear hint of displeasure.

Bo Sishen was stunned for a moment, his face showing a slight shock. After a while, he opened his mouth and called out, ”Grandpa.”

”Exactly, since you married my Nian Nian, you should call me grandpa.” Liao Jiawei finally broke into a smile, ”I won’t tell Nian Nian about your matter, as long as you are sincere to her.”

”Grandpa, I am serious about her.” Bo Sishen said deeply.

”Ah Shen, though you are a generation older than Nian Nian, this is not a problem. The most important thing is that you treat my granddaughter well and take care of her for a lifetime.” Liao Jiawei said earnestly, ”Although I am strict with Nian Nian, she is my most beloved and pampered granddaughter. If you dare to hurt her even a little, I will absolutely not spare you.”

”Grandpa, rest assured, I will use my entire life to protect her and keep her safe.” Bo Sishen promised in front of Liao Jiawei.

”Promises often sound nice, but they need to be put into action.” Liao Jiawei said, ”Of course, I trust your character. This marriage was arranged between me and your father, so I have confidence in you as well.”

As they spoke, outside, Mu Shini’s voice could be heard.

”Uncle Chen, where are grandpa and Bo Sishen? Why can’t I find them?” After finishing the phone call, Mu Shini noticed that both her grandpa and Bo Sishen were not in the living room.

Bo Sishen followed Liao Jiawei out of the study.

Mu Shini was startled to see her grandpa and Bo Sishen coming out of the study, ”Grandpa, what were you and Bo Sishen doing in the study?”

Mu Shini pulled Bo Sishen aside, ”Bo Sishen, don’t think about messing with my grandpa. Besides, my grandpa is not someone you can mess with. As a military professor, you’re just all talk. Don’t be deceived by my grandpa being an old man; he could knock you down with one punch!”

”I am a normal man; I highly respect your grandpa. He is a highly esteemed military man.” Bo Sishen laughed uncontrollably. This girl always had wild thoughts.

”Just make sure you understand. Don’t mess with my grandpa.” Mu Shini patted Bo Sishen’s chest.

”Got it, you pesky girl.” Bo Sishen raised his hand and lovingly patted Mu Shini’s head.

As Bo Sishen’s hand landed on her head, it was as if a current flowed from her hair to her entire body.

She shivered all over, mindful that her grandpa was standing nearby, hurriedly took down Bo Sishen’s big hand, stepped back two steps with a flushed face, and glared at Bo Sishen, ”Why are you touching me!”

What if grandpa misunderstood!

During dinner, Mu Shini sat next to Liao Jiawei, constantly picking food for her grandpa.

”Grandpa, eat more!”

”You girl, suddenly coming back to see me and giving me so much food, do you have something you need your grandpa’s help with?” Liao Jiawei looked at the mountain of food, glanced sideways at Mu Shini.

”Grandpa, I indeed have something I need your help with! Aren’t you acquainted with an old traditional Chinese medicine doctor?” Mu Shini put down her chopsticks, looked at her grandpa with a smile, ”It’s true that nothing can be hidden from you!”

”What do you need my help with?” Liao Jiawei took a sip of soup.

”My husband’s health is not very good.” Mu Shini said, ”This is my husband’s medical record, he has a hidden illness. I remember hearing you say before that the old traditional Chinese medicine doctor might be able to treat hidden illnesses, right?”

”Pff——”

Liao Jiawei sprayed a mouthful of soup out, full of shock.

”Hidden illness?”
