Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 186: Chapter 187: The Horoscope Indicates the Need for a Joyful Event to Counteract Bad Luck

Mu Shini sat at the dining table but didn’t dare to pick up her chopsticks.

For some reason, the air in the Bao Family Manor was filled with a heavy sense of solemnity, making people instinctively careful and serious.

Mu Shini sat up straight, her eyes scanning around.

”Young Madam, is the hotpot not to your taste?” Tan Mu quietly asked.

Sir cares a lot about the Young Madam.

To please the Young Madam, he specially arranged for the hotpot to make her feel more relaxed.

”No, it’s not that...” Mu Shini responded, lifting her eyes to look at Tan Mu, and in a soft voice asked, ”Bo Si... Mr. Bo isn’t coming down to eat with me?”

”Sir doesn’t eat these mixed foods, and doesn’t eat spicy food. He prefers a lighter diet.” Tan Mu said, hands joined in front of him.

”Oh, has he had dinner then?” Mu Shini’s voice was very gentle.

She was startled; why was she concerned if Bo Sishen had had dinner?

Tan Mu replied, ”Sir has mobility issues and eats in the upstairs bedroom.”

Mu Shini caught the key words in Tan Mu’s mouth. She looked at him and softly asked, ”Mobility issues?”

Could it be that the man she saw in a wheelchair at the civil affairs bureau was indeed her husband?

”Yes, Sir has relied on a wheelchair for years, taking medication constantly, and his health has always been poor,” Tan Mu recited, looking at Mu Shini.

”So you married me to improve his luck?” Mu Shini asked bluntly without any reserve.

Tan Mu smiled subtly, ”Yes, Young Madam. According to Sir’s birth chart, he has to marry a wife twelve years younger to improve his luck, which will help cure his illness completely, and they will be happy together for a lifetime.”

This last sentence wasn’t part of what he was supposed to say; Tan Mu added it impulsively.

Mu Shini felt a bit embarrassed hearing this and said seriously, ”Are you really that superstitious? You should believe that science can help him recover... Improving luck is an old wives’ tale from ancient times.”

How could Bo Sishen, a man with so much wealth, be so muddle-headed to believe in such superstitions?

”Young Madam, this has always been a sacred and efficacious belief since ancient times. And ever since you and Sir got married, Sir’s health has noticeably improved. Even what medicine couldn’t heal, you healed.” Tan Mu explained earnestly.

Mu Shini found it unbelievable, pursing her lips, ”He must be quite ill!”

But, did she really play such a significant role?

A sense of joy welled up from the bottom of her heart.

Did she save Bo Sishen?

This feeling of saving someone brought her immense happiness.

”Then I’ll start eating now!” Mu Shini said, picking up her chopsticks and began putting the meat into the boiling pot, starting her delicious dinner.

Even eating alone, she was quite happy.

Eating hotpot at her husband’s home should be safe.

That’s what she thought.

After dinner, Mu Shini asked, ”Where should I go now? Wait here for your master or will you send me back?”

”Young Madam, Sir has instructed that after dinner you should go upstairs to find him. He is waiting for you upstairs.” Tan Mu looked at Mu Shini, who was burping, and couldn’t help but laugh at her genuine demeanor.

Indeed, it’s this kind of girl, like a clear spring, that deeply touches Sir’s heart and can enter his secluded inner world.
