1000x Random Returns: Investing in My Crippled Demon Wives!

Chapter 121: Chapter 121: Thinking of Doing Things to His Sugar Mommy?!

Inside the master bedroom of Blackthorn Estate, Lucien sat motionless at the center of the massive bed, as the last traces of his dismantled foundation finally settling into stillness.

’Now it’s time to use the technique comprehension for the Blood Sovereign Scripture.’ He thought, but just as he was about to go for it, a divine voice sounded in his mind.

”Sugar disciple.” It said, as it lost all its divine godly charm.

He didn’t even jump or get startled hearing it this time as he had already gotten used to her voice arriving suddenly in his head.

’What’s up, master?’

’Nothing much, just helping little Eve with her technique.’

’So my dear disciple, how far have you gone with your one and what about your cultivation?’

”For what it’s worth, I also finished running the improved Foundation Severance Scripture on myself.’ He said as he flexed one hand, feeling his lowered stats in action.

”Figured there wasn’t much point rebuilding three new houses next to one still standing on the old foundation and I wanted to get it done with as fast as possible, since we’ve got people after our heads and all.”

’You already did your severance, so quickly?’ Carmilla’s eyebrows rose, genuinely surprised by her disciple for a split second.

’Yes, I just finished using the technique and dropping my cultivation rank back to F Rank.’ He informed her.

’Good just as I expected of a disciple I chose.’

’You’re very fast, my sugar disciple.’ She said as he could practically hear the smug smirk spreading across her face, fully aware that her teasing had just left his dignity in the dust.

’Ask the girl’s whether I’m fast or not.’

’And didn’t you enjoy hearin the music while pretending you hadn’t heard anything.”

’ He said smiling, deciding to get back at his shameless Goddess of a master.

’I have no idea what you’re referring to.’ Her cheeks went the faintest shade of pink as he brought up last nights shame.

”Mm-hm.” He agreed, not convinced at all, as he was sure the sounds he heard in his head were her.

”Anyway.” She cleared her throat with as much dignity as a fairy-sized goddess could summon. ”So you’re back at F Rank too, same as the girls.”

”Same as the girls, a clean slate with better base underneath it.”

”Good, a weak or just good enough foundation is how more half the cultivators in this realm end up capped ranks below where they should be, not taking into account their own potential of course.” She said, while asking him questions as she was curious about her sugar disciple.

’Go on, then, keep learning, and I’ll just be a thought away.’

’Of course if you want, I can come supervise you.’ She said innocently.

”You mean eavesdropping.”

”Supervising,” she repeated, with the confidence of someone who had already decided she’d won the argument.

’Okay, enough teasing master, let me get back to learning the Blood Sovereign Scripture, you can go back to helping Evelisse with her new cultivation technique, as she needs you more right now.’

’By the way, how’s that going?’ He asked before she cut off.

’Well, as good as it can go, but she’s doing her best.’ Carmilla said while smiling catching Evelisse’s attention, who was sitting in front of her reading the technique’s manual.

”Is hubby doing something again?” Evelisse asked her curiously, figuring her big sis was mentally talking to him through their contract, which she was a little jealous of.

At the same time Carmilla cut the mental conversation so Lucien could get back to his cultivation.

”Yep, he just finished his foundation reset, so my dear little sister Eve, you better get to learning the technique.”

”You wouldn’t want him surpassing you again and taking all your snacks then making you cultivate for them, would you?” Carmilla laughed, as she knew that would get Evelisse moving, and like expected Evelisse turned towards her.

”He wouldn’t do that to his cute wife, right big sis?’ Evelisse asked horrified and all she got from Carmilla was a pat on the head, scaring her.

”I don’t know Evie, you tell me.” Carmilla said smiling at her.

Meanwhile Lucien was on the bed with the Blood Sovereign Scripture opened in front of him as he mentally allocated two months of his accumulated technique comprehension towards learning it, leaving six in reserve for whatever came next.

[Ding!]

[Technique Comprehension Used.]

[Target: Blood Sovereign Scripture (Mythical Rank)]

[Use 2 months on the Cultivation Technique Blood Sovereign Scripture?]

[Yes / No.]

’Yes.’ He thought confirming it.

[Technique Comprehension Used: 2 Months]

[Technique Comprehension Remaining: 6 Months]

[Beginning technique comprehension...]

The scripture unfurled in the pitch black canvas of his mind’s eye, the crimson script of the Blood Sovereign Scripture catching fire one line at a time, as understanding flowed with it.

Information kept pouring in, diagrams of mana circulation branching through the practitioner’s body like root systems, the skeleton of a cultivation path built specifically to hold blood aspected mana instead of the generic kind.

He understood the scripture’s core principles by now, the primary mana circulation routes, how to gather ambient mana and the process to refine it into something called Sanguine Mana.

’It’s a good start.’

’Except that’s just the foundation of the technique.’

He had the skeleton but he didn’t have the advanced circulation variants, the higher rank refinement methods, or any of the finer techniques and knowledge for actually building a perfect or the best possible foundation.

’This scripture is a lot more layered than I gave it credit for.’

He felt it connecting, piece by piece, not literally but mentally to the things he already carried, like the Crimson Sovereign Bloodline, the Sanguine Genesis Crucible, and even the quiet hungry pull of the Hollow Core tucked behind his ribs.

’This is amazing, seems like my Divine+ blood Affinity isn’t for nothing.’ He thought smiling as more and more information poured into his head regarding how the Blood Sovereign Scripture worked.

Then the technique moved on to the soul section and how the Blood Sovereign Scripture and its refined Sanguine mana interacted and strengthened the soul, before the flow of information abruptly stopped.

’Two months wasn’t enough!?’

Some sections still eluded him like the parts dealing with the blood energy’s relationship to the soul, and how it worked to strengthen his soul, body and core in tandem.

’Even with my insane Blood Affinity, not to mention my talent and to some degree my bloodline making it easier for me to learn, comprehend and use blood based techniques, skills and whatever else.’

?”Of course,” Lucien muttered, an amused smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

”It’s a Mythical Rank technique for a reason, but I really did think two months would be enough with everything I had stacked together.”

’Carmilla would definitely call me arrogant for thinking I could master it in two months.’ He thought smiling.

’Lucky for me, all I gotta do is just push more technique comprehension into it.’ He thought grinning.

’You called disciple?’ Carmilla voice sounded in his head.

’No I didn’t master, and i thought you can’t read my mind anymore?’ He asked her suspiciously as everytime he thought of her, she then popped up.

’Nope I can’t, I’m hundred percent sure I can’t read your mind, it’s in the our soul contract after all.’ She told him while laughing.

’Then how did you know I was thinking of you?’ He asked seriously.

’Awww, is my little sugar disciple thinking of doing things to his sugar mommy?’ She teased him.

’Do you have to make it weird?’ He asked sighing but already used to her teasing.

’I didn’t say anything weird.’ She said innocently.

’I didn’t know my disciple was such a naughty boy, thinking of improper stuff about his master.’ She said teasingly.

’But to answer your question, beings that have reached a certain threshold of strength can pick up of when others talk about them.’ She said.

’So, you are at that threshold of strength?’ He asked, not surprised of the concept, as lot’s of the webnovels he read back on Earth had something similar, where God’s or other type of divine beings knew when they were being talked about.

’Unfortunately, not yet.’ She said not elaborating on it.

’But it’s creepy knowing that those ancient geezers could be spying on your thoughts without you knowing, luckily all you have to do is not think or talk about them knowingly.’ She said, which was basically the kettle calling the pot black, but he decided not to point that out.

’How do you know then?’

’In my case since we are connected, some of your surface level thoughts do flow out towards me.’

’Too bad it’s only those thoughts related to me, but at least I know when you think about your sugar mommy.’ She said pouting before smiling smugly.

’How do I stop that?’ He asked sighing.

’Besides that, how’s the cultivation going?” she asked him with open curiosity completely ignoring his question.

”You’ve been sitting here so long I started to worry you’d turned yourself into furniture, have you started going through the Blood Sovereign Scripture?”

”Yes I have.” He said seeing she had no interest in letting him know how to keep his thoughts of her to himself.

”And?”

”And I finally understand why you keep calling this cultivation technique the best one for me instead of any other.”

”I never do anything with just a shrug, I have standards to keep as a Goddess, disciple and of course I want the best for you, my disciple can’t be weak or struggling, but should be strong enough to pummel those other bitches champions to kingdom come.” Carmilla’s smile turned smug as she heard him

”Standards? But you threw a tantrum because I wouldn’t let you watch us last night.” He said smirking.

”That wasn’t a tantrum, I was only curious about it.” She said as her voice faded from his mind as she performed the best possible move, escape.

’Such a shameless Goddess, escaping because she has no comeback.’ He thought laughing a bit at her move, he then opened the system interface once again.

[Technique Comprehension: 6 Months.]

’Six month’s left, I can afford to go deeper.’ He thought.

”What was the saying again?”

?”You have to spend money to make money, and since I have money, it’s gotta be used.” he reasoned with himself, shrugging his shoulders without the slightest ounce of hesitation.

”Three months, put three more months into the Blood Sovereign Scripture.”

’This is what proper cheating is, thank you system!’ He thought as he burst out laughing.

[Use 3 Months Technique Comprehension on The Blood Sovereign Scripture?]
