Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

”Qin Yu?”

The Empress frowned lightly. Come to think of it, I didn’t seem to be in this bad a state on the way back.

Could being closer to that fellow have such benefits?!

She couldn’t help but think of Little Ling’Er.

”We’ll talk about it tomorrow.”

The Empress closed her eyes.

The problem within her body was related to the path she was walking, different from Ling’Er’s situation.

To resolve the hidden dangers in her body, she must confront the calamity directly. As long as she successfully overcomes it, these issues would naturally be resolved.

Of course, the calamity the Empress referred to was not the Harmonization Celestial Tribulation.

”Your Majesty, why not give it a try? You see, both Ling’Er and Little Yan Yu were healed by him.”

Seeing the Empress about to fall asleep again, the Empress Dowager persisted in her persuasion.

I’m really doing this for your own good!

The Empress was too lazy to pay attention to the Empress Dowager, this foolish auspice, always wanting things for free, and now trying to drag me down too?!

A strong sense of fatigue washed over the Empress, slowly causing her to close her eyes, vaguely feeling as if a softness enveloped her.

So comfortable!

No wonder when facing the auspices, Qin Yu’s gaze is always burning.

Perhaps I can understand now.

The next day.

Qin Yu emerged from his Lifebound Space, only to be shocked to find that the Empress Dowager, who would regularly make her way to Huayang Hall, was nowhere to be seen.

”Was she grounded by Her Majesty?”

Qin Yu couldn’t help but feel puzzled, thinking carefully.

Although there was no excessive contact yesterday, the occasional breathtaking sight wasn’t something new, so logically, the Empress Dowager shouldn’t have been grounded.

After pondering for a while, Qin Yu still decided to check out Jade Flower Palace.

”Qin Yu, you finally came!”

As soon as he stepped into Jade Flower Palace, a familiar fragrance greeted him.

The Empress Dowager was still dressed in a luxurious phoenix robe, but her beautiful, lively eyes were full of urgency, with a tremble in her voice that had never been there before.

”Empress Dowager, what happened?”

Qin Yu’s expression stiffened, he’d never seen the Empress Dowager in such a fluster.

Moreover, the Empress Dowager’s hair was somewhat disheveled, her robe slightly open, she seemed to have not rested well all night.

”Her Majesty is ill, please come and help me check.”

The Empress Dowager reached out and grabbed Qin Yu’s hand, quickly heading towards the chamber.

The warm touch from her hand caused Qin Yu’s mind to ripple, this sensation was entirely different from holding Little Ling’Er’s hand.

Though Qin Yu didn’t deny his affection and care for Little Ling’Er, Princess was still too young, and he ultimately exercised restraint.

The Empress Dowager was entirely different; her beauty and figure constantly attracted him.

Plus, this singular identity of the Empress Dowager made it more complex for him, inspiring both reverence and a hint of sacrilege.

If not for insufficient strength, that hint might have grown infinitely.

”What’s wrong with Her Majesty?”

Qin Yu took a deep breath; now was not the time for idle thoughts.

”I don’t know.”

The Empress Dowager didn’t know how to explain, only able to recount the Empress’s situation.

”Has she been sleeping continuously since her return?”

Qin Yu was taken aback; was the Empress injured in the abyss?

Thinking back to the journey back to the Imperial Capital, the Empress’s majestic brilliance surged, full of authority and strength, without any unusual fluctuations, appearing completely unharmed.

But why would the immensely powerful Empress fall into a deep sleep?

Following the Empress Dowager’s lead, they quickly entered that familiar room.

Perhaps because she was in the chamber, the Empress hadn’t expected anyone to disturb her, and to sleep more comfortably, she wore only a layer of gauzy garments, her perfectly curvaceous figure faintly visible beneath the sheer fabric.

At this moment, the Empress no longer bore the divine brilliance typical of her, more like a slumbering Divine Maiden, her hair cascading like a waterfall over the bed, playful strands resting on her snow-white neck.

Come to think of it, this was Qin Yu’s first time seeing the Empress’s face so closely.

Her beauty, flawless and unblemished, perfect without a hint of imperfection, as if descended from Luo God.

Her exquisitely refined features appeared like the artworks of a skilled artisan who has devoted a lifetime to sculpting, her cheeks now lacking the previous majesty, with a touch of tranquility, seeming quite serene.

Perhaps dreaming of something, her cherry-like lips pursed slightly into a tender pout...

As the two approached the chamber, the curtains rustled slightly, and the Empress on the bed seemed to sense them, her lashes trembled, her eyes barely opened a fraction.

Eyes met.

Qin Yu felt as though the air had frozen, the beauty of the Empress was suffocating.

Yet, the consequences of desecrating the Empress left him chilled to the bone.

The Empress’s gaze subtly tightened, sweeping over his robe.

This fellow, does he intend to stab me in the back?!

”Your Majesty.”

Qin Yu’s mind abruptly returned to reality, immediately lowering...

His head.

Unable to dare look directly at a scene that shouldn’t exist in the mortal realm.

The Empress did not exert any pressure, but merely a moment’s gaze made him feel as though he was being watched by a flood beast, his back icy.

That foolish auspice, really brought Qin Yu in?!

The Empress felt somewhat resigned.

Yet, the Empress Dowager was indeed worried about her, momentarily leaving her at a loss for how to scold her.

”Why are you standing there, hurry and go treat Her Majesty?”

The Empress Dowager was anxious, I called you here to heal, why are you daydreaming?

”Healing?”

In the depths of Qin Yu’s eyes flashed a trace of excitement, but it quickly dimmed.

This, isn’t it somewhat inappropriate?

Before him stood the Lord of the Immortal Country, the dignified Empress!

The Empress seemed to have no emotional fluctuation, her beautiful eyes gently closed, and did not interrupt the Empress Dowager’s words, as if tacitly allowing.

Urged slightly displeased by the Empress Dowager, Qin Yu could only...

go through with it.

Slowly approaching the bed.

”Your Majesty.”

Qin Yu’s voice was filled with awe, as if afraid of desecrating the Empress’s majesty, not daring to look at that infinitely charming and graceful body.

However, the fleeting glimpse just now had already deeply engraved that image in his mind.

Although separated by a fabric thin as a cicada’s wing, precisely because of some obstacles, the scenery looms, making it all the more indescribably...

enticing?

The Empress didn’t even lift her eyelids, for Qin Yu’s reaction, she was already accustomed to it.

She knew well Qin Yu’s nature and interests.

Moreover, a few days ago, when this guy had just passed his Celestial Tribulation, he behaved even more brazenly.

What scenarios had she not seen?

What comforted the Empress was that Qin Yu’s attitude towards her, that respect arising from the heart, was not feigned.

”Why are you bowing your head? Look at her!”

The Empress Dowager was anxious enough to stomp her feet, wasn’t Qin Yu usually quite clever?

How could he act like a blockhead in front of the Empress?!

He seemed even more afraid of this Tyrant than she was?

It seemed understandable...

However, now was not the time to consider these things. The Empress Dowager had never seen the Empress so exhausted.

She had summoned Qin Yu for healing, and with him bowing his head, what was he looking at?

”Qin Yu dares not.”

Terror gripped Qin Yu’s heart, that was the Empress, how could he dare to desecrate her?

If hiding in his Lifebound Space, he wouldn’t mind, and might even be tempted to appreciate this beauty, but in front of the Empress, he absolutely could not be so offensive.

”Your Majesty, perhaps you could tell him.”

The Empress Dowager helplessly looked at the Empress.

This blockhead, even I can’t persuade him!

The Empress’s expression remained indifferent, with an innate regal demeanor, even in such a scenario, she exuded calm restraint.

”Come a bit closer, it’s fine.”

The Empress said lightly.

She knew well that Qin Yu’s heart was simple, only worried about her, with no other intentions.

Upon hearing this, Qin Yu moved a few steps closer, standing by the bed.

”Hmm?”

The Empress Dowager glanced, though Qin Yu was still some distance from the bed, his robe crossed that divide.

This guy actually carried a weapon?

Suddenly, the Empress Dowager thought of some scenes she had ”unintentionally” seen, her cheeks suddenly flushed, but her beautiful eyes also showed some disbelief.

Could it be?

Could he be plotting to assassinate the Empress?!

If he could heal like little Yan Yu, it would be acceptable.

No, no!

Qin Yu is Little Ling’Er’s husband!

The Empress is her sister, how could this be?!

”Ten years ago, I went to the Fire Domain of Ten Thousand Miles, where the Dao suffered some injuries.”

The Empress’s demeanor was calm, without any reserve, mentioning for the first time her own issues.

Fire Domain of Ten Thousand Miles?

Qin Yu suddenly remembered Little Ling’Er once telling him that to solve the treatment of the conflict of Power of Dao Rhyme, the Empress and the Empress Dowager had risked their lives multiple times.

However, the Empress’s strength was so formidable, yet her Dao got injured, what kind of terrifying existence was there in the Fire Domain of Ten Thousand Miles?

At this moment, Qin Yu almost understood why the Empress appeared so weary.

Presumably, the hidden ailment within her had always existed, and the battle under the Fallen God Abyss made her hidden ailment erupt.

But, the Dao was injured, this...

Qin Yu had never treated such an injury before.

”You may take a look for me.”

The Empress slightly lifted her eyelids, and in her sight was...

This guy, clearly stood several feet away, but his robe nearly stabbed her.

Fortunately, the Empress’s temperament was extraordinary, especially under the Celestial Tribulation, having seen everything, such a scene made her not lose her composure.

”Open your eyes, I won’t hold it against you.”

The Empress glanced at the Empress Dowager, this foolish Qin Yu, why was he so conflicted?

What was she thinking?

However, to reassure the Empress Dowager, the Empress took the initiative to extend her arm, gently placing it beside the bed.

With the Empress’s permission, Qin Yu finally raised his head, but, still did not dare to directly gaze at the scenery on the bed, instead looking at the hand beneath the robe.

There, he saw that her skin was as white as snow, smooth and delicate like mutton fat jade, with half of her arm under the sunlight emitting a faint halo.

Her hand was like a tender shoot, fair and delicate as if new bamboo shoots just sprouting in early spring, seemingly breaking with a gentle touch, fingers slender and long, nails round and exuding a pink sheen, like morning dew drops on flower petals.

The skin on the back of her hand was smooth and delicate, faintly showing light blue veins, like streams under the ice, quietly flowing yet brimming with vitality.

Just a single arm was pleasing to the eye, as if seeing the fairy’s jade hand stepping out of a painting, full of grace and elegance.
