Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

[Emotion Point +10 from Yin Qinghe]

”Life Rune?!”

Qin Yu just glanced at it, then put it aside for now.

Instead, he lifted the beautiful master’s wife down from the windowsill and carried her toward the bed.

Looks like he’d have to clean up the windowsill tomorrow.

”Damn it.”

Yin Qinghe collapsed onto him, as if complaining, even though her body was still... trembling with nervousness.

Yet she had no intention of leaving him at all.

She herself couldn’t understand what had gotten into her.

Clearly this rebellious disciple was so infuriating, so why did she feel more and more unable to leave him behind?

Qin Yu’s lips curled into a smile.

This beautiful master’s wife was really easy to rack up Romantic Points from.

Just the tiniest scheme, and he got exactly what he wanted.

To call it easy—well, there was actually a bit of a twist to the process.

After all, it wasn’t like Lin Qianqian and Zhao Mengli, with mutual feelings that naturally drew them together.

Those two were at least nominally master’s wife and disciple.

So, Qin Yu had to let her cross that hurdle in her own heart.

Seeing the once noble lady, elegant as a swan, now curling up in his arms with a touch of shyness, Qin Yu couldn’t resist—he seized her lips in a kiss.

”?”

Yin Qinghe looked at him in confusion, but then, as if naturally, used on this unruly disciple a long-lost forbidden move...

”Luring the snake into the cave.”

...

”Swoosh!”

With a flash of white, a graceful figure descended in the courtyard.

It was Su Xiyue.

When she came, her heart was complicated, conflicted, and she didn’t even know how to open her mouth to Qin Yu.

However, as soon as she entered the cave dwelling, some strange and ambiguous sounds drifted to her ears.

Almost instinctively, she followed the sounds and spotted an open window.

Right then, a blush appeared on Fairy’s ethereal face.

Even though she couldn’t see inside the room, she still turned away toward the door.

First there was embarrassment, but soon, she felt at ease.

It was as if she’d just realized that Qin Yu was not her only Dao Companion.

That’s right.

He had so many Dao Companions already.

Lin Qianqian and Lin Shuishui were real sisters.

The key thing was the relationship between Yin Qinghe and Zhao Mengli. After all, in outsiders’ eyes, the two of them were...

And besides, Yin Qinghe could even be considered Qin Yu’s master’s wife.

Hmph!

No need to even say it—he must have already had improper thoughts about Senior Sister?!

A while later.

The room quieted down at last and then, the door opened. Qin Yu came out.

Little Fairy Wife hadn’t left yet.

He was actually a bit afraid Su Xiyue might have gone. Just now, Qin Yu hadn’t meant to start any drama—he’d simply been caught up in the mood and wanted a moment of tenderness.

And yet...

”Martial Aunt.”

Before, Little Fairy Wife would have resisted this form of address.

Even in the midst of graver, more suggestive moments...

She would still glare at him.

But now, Su Xiyue simply turned around, without a word, just quietly staring at Qin Yu, as if struggling within herself, her gaze sometimes flitting away, sometimes biting her red lips.

”What’s wrong?”

Qin Yu stepped forward slowly, gently taking her slender, delicate hand.

This was his one and only Little Fairy Wife.

Even just a single finger radiated an untouched air of immortality, so beautiful it was intoxicating—it seemed carved from flawless white jade, soft and radiant.

The air about her was cool and ethereal, perhaps it was that inborn spiritual aura, so that she always seemed veiled in faint silver gauze—beauty beyond worldly women.

If there truly are fairies in this world... they’d be just like this.

Qin Yu had expected that, as before, Little Fairy Wife would—torn between shyness and anger—quickly draw back that soft-as-jade hand.

Yet this time, after an inner struggle, Su Xiyue’s movements were hesitant, as if each step she took bore a thousand pounds. Carefully, little by little, she actually took the initiative and leaned into his arms.

”???”

Qin Yu was stunned, suspicion and surprise written all over his face. He blurted out, ”Xiyue, did you get hurt somewhere? Are you alright?!”

”...”

Su Xiyue’s expression shifted back and forth, until at last a faint shyness was replaced by anger.

She gently slipped out of his embrace, eyes flashing with irritation, shooting him a fierce glare before turning and walking into the room without another word.

Sure enough, she still couldn’t bring herself to do it.

She couldn’t learn what it meant to be gentle.

She couldn’t learn what it meant to be seductive.

”Xiyue...”

Qin Yu followed her into the room. The Little Fairy Wife just stood there; after a moment’s hesitation, he walked closer.

He couldn’t shake the feeling that something... was off with Su Xiyue today?

Everything about her was different from how she used to be. Even when she’d taken the initiative and moved into his embrace earlier, her every movement was stiff and awkward.

Why was she trying to change?

He honestly liked Su Xiyue’s cold, unapproachable, lotus-bloom-in-snow aloofness.

He couldn’t expect every beloved wife to be all softness and tender affection to him, could he?!

Every woman under the heavens has her own grace; how could they all be the same?

Take Lin Qianqian, for instance—she was the very picture of gentle tenderness, delicately sweet and lovable, naturally stirring a man’s pity and care.

Zhao Mengli and Lin Shuishui, on the other hand, had a different charm. They were lively and quick-witted, full of playful innocence—every charming aspect of a young girl could be found in them.

But the beautiful master’s wife was different yet again. She was wise and elegant, like an orchid in full bloom, exuding a faint fragrance, intoxicating to the core.

Looking at it this way,

Every woman had her unique allure and aura—Qin Yu cherished each one, unwilling to judge or force anyone into a single mold.

”I... I’ll help you undress.”

Su Xiyue suddenly turned around; her words made Qin Yu freeze on the spot.

What’s going on?

The usually proud, sassy little fairy wife—when had she ever been so gentle? This sudden sweetness genuinely surprised and confused him.

Could it be... she wanted something?

Qin Yu was thoughtful, but didn’t refuse; in fact, he was quite looking forward to it.

He calmly spread his arms, closed his eyes, and struck a pose of ”do as you please, my fairy.”

Su Xiyue’s cheeks turned a shy rosy pink, but she pressed down the urge to run away.

She waved her sleeve lightly, and the candles in the room flickered out on cue. Then, she floated to stand behind Qin Yu, and with trembling hands, helped him undo his robes.

The whole process was slow; in her nervousness, she fumbled her way through. Even just unfastening a few buttons took the time of a burning incense stick.

Yet it gave Qin Yu a feeling he’d never had before.

As the clothing slipped to the floor, he spun around and scooped up his little fairy wife in one swift motion.

”Ah...”

Su Xiyue gave a soft cry, instinctively trying to break free.

But with her feet off the ground, in the blink of an eye, Qin Yu was already carrying her to the edge of the bed, gently laying her down.

”You!...”

Her hands pressed against his chest, face turned away in embarrassed refusal, yet the way she struggled to resist just made her look all the more alluring.

”Martial Aunt, you’ve had a long, tiring day. Let your Martial Niece help you relax.”
