Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

Qin Yu was stunned, looking at Su Xihe with confusion.

Although everything seemed fine, he still felt that his master today was a bit peculiar.

He glanced at the herbs Su Xihe took out.

There were actually as many as three portions!

Even though his speed in concocting elixirs had greatly improved, it would still take about three hours.

By then, it would already be deep into the night.

”Master, how about I make six elixirs tomorrow?”

Qin Yu asked tentatively.

For the first time, he felt like he was running out of time.

He couldn’t favor one over the other, right?

”Do today’s work today, or are you planning not to cultivate tomorrow?”

The Sect Leader’s gaze shot directly over.

”Uh...”

”What? You don’t even want to obey your master now?!”

Seeing Qin Yu hesitating, Su Xihe immediately became furious.

Bullied her sister every night, and he had the nerve to hesitate?

At this moment, the Sect Leader seemed like a strict parent, sparing no effort to prevent the younger generation from going astray and wasting their cultivation journey.

She even felt a pang of disappointment in her chest.

Why was she doing this?

She just wanted her disciple and sister to focus on the right path and not waste time.

Thinking they completely misunderstood her intentions, Su Xihe felt a twinge of pain.

”I wouldn’t dare.”

Qin Yu didn’t dare to refuse. Although he didn’t know what was up with his master today, being able to spend more time with the Sect Leader was a rare blessing.

It wasn’t until the moon hung high and stars twinkled that Qin Yu finished turning those three portions of herbs into elixirs.

With Su Xihe’s permission, Qin Yu almost flew away in a hurry, making Su Xihe feel a bit helpless at his impatience.

However, when she picked up the elixirs Qin Yu made, a trace of emotion flickered in her eyes.

Compared to the initial ’lumps,’ the elixirs Qin Yu crafted now were starting to take shape. Though not perfectly round, they could already be called elixirs.

His progress was incredibly impressive!

This was with only practicing once a day for such a short time, yet it already equaled her years of effort back then.

If given a little more time, he might soon excel in the path of alchemy.

Su Xihe couldn’t help but marvel once more.

This guy is simply a prodigy.

After storing the elixirs, she left the Alchemy Room and, on her way to her residence, glanced subconsciously at the Saintess Cave Mansion.

It was so late; her sister shouldn’t be going out, right?

She was initially planning to check over there, but reconsidered, knowing Leng Ruyu was present, and dismissed the idea.

Family affairs shouldn’t be aired publicly.

However, as the older sister, she reluctantly took up the chore of keeping watch again.

Annoying.

Even leaving her with no time to enjoy any storybooks.

Compared to the difficulties of the Sect Leader, the real hardship might be on... the little demoness Leng Ruyu.

Initially, Leng Ruyu thought that one night was just an accident, simply the First Fairy going to handle some matters, but who would have thought... Every day since, Su Xiyue would nearly go out at the same time.

Does the Cyan Mountain Sect have so many issues requiring their Saintess to handle nocturnally?!

Leng Ruyu even sent a message to her father to inquire about the situation in the Yunlan Domain, but there were no reports of the Hundred Sword Sect retaliating.

Morning.

She prepared to have a conversation with Su Xiyue, to ease the tensions between them.

”Sister Xiyue.”

Seeing Su Xiyue return from outside, Leng Ruyu approached her.

With a hint of frailty from the black qi’s corrosion, her eyes nonetheless gleamed when seeing Su Xiyue.

She even handed Su Xiyue the Jade Thread.

Su Xiyue merely gave her a cold glance, hesitated a moment, and still accepted the Jade Thread.

Without a word, she walked toward her residence.

”Sister Xiyue.”

Leng Ruyu called again, and after Su Xiyue paused, said in a bitter voice, ”My sister knows it’s shameful to ask for forgiveness, only hoping that sister can give me a chance to atone.”

Such words were so humble.

Leng Ruyu was the Demon Sect’s elder sister in name, her status and position no less than Su Xiyue’s.

Yet hearing this, Su Xiyue’s brow furrowed gently.

If outsiders heard this, wouldn’t they think she was bullying her?!

Is she trying to play tricks again?

Su Xiyue looked at her coldly, ”What do you intend to do?”

”Hmm?”

Leng Ruyu was taken aback.

Why does Sister Xiyue’s voice sound...?

Moreover, her steps seemed unnatural when she was walking, and her expression was rather weary.

So what exactly did she do during the night?!

Leng Ruyu set those thoughts aside and, instead, said pitifully, ”What is sister saying? My life is now tied to yours, hoping only to make amends for my past mistakes.”

Su Xiyue glanced at her pale face and felt a bit fortunate.

If not for encountering Qin Yu, her situation might be worse than Leng Ruyu’s condition at the moment.

If that were the case, perhaps now it would be her own sister Su Xihe running around seeking help.

Leng Ruyu’s situation was indeed difficult to handle.

Though the Demon Sect’s leader had sent ample resources, Leng Ruyu’s situation showed no signs of improvement.

Thinking from their perspective, wouldn’t they suspect trickery from the Demon Sect?

If one becomes desperate, extreme actions might be inevitable.

But.

The black qi could only be eradicated by a warm current, which only came from intimate contact with Qin Yu.

What was one to do?

Leaving aside whether Su Xiyue was willing, Qin Yu wasn’t her possession; how could she make such a decision on his behalf?

During her internal conflict, Leng Ruyu rambled non-stop.

She started with all kinds of remorse over past misdeeds; whether heartfelt or not, it did ease much of Su Xiyue’s animosity towards her.

”As long as Sister Xiyue is willing to let go of past grudges and forgive her sister, you can do... whatever you want with me.”

However, Leng Ruyu’s last words, along with the strange gleam in her eyes, caused Su Xiyue to snort coldly.

Indeed!

Still the demoness she was!

”Bang!”

The door slammed shut, but the surprise and shock on her face didn’t escape Leng Ruyu’s notice.

Since that day, Leng Ruyu would occasionally seek out Su Xiyue to converse, trying to ease their relationship.

Particularly at night, once she loosened the Jade Thread, Leng Ruyu would appear.

Since it might involve secrets of the Cyan Mountain Sect, Leng Ruyu hadn’t asked to accompany her, but... over time, she couldn’t help but notice something.

Should she resolve this once and for all?

This was a dilemma.

Time flew by, and before they knew it, the two-month deadline was upon them.
