The Urban Medical Martial Immortal

Chapter 693: Chapter 689 Less Than Ants

The crisp slap rang out, echoing through the vast hotel restaurant.

The people around, seeing the tragic figure of Young Master Yuwen with a face swollen like a pig’s head, couldn’t help but feel a chill down their spines, and their scalps went numb.

So cruel!

Too cruel!

The influential Young Master of the Yuwen Family, to think he was struck just like that!

Although the Yuwen Family was not the top of the East Continent, in Xiangjiang Province, they were a power that could sit on par with Cheen Yanwang of Cheen Chaoya, or even more terrifying!

Such a Great Clan, who wouldn’t revere them, who wouldn’t try to ingratiate themselves?

Yet, the youth before them, without a word of disagreement, just brutally beat Young Master Yuwen half to death.

The murderous intent around him was palpable, and none of the onlookers doubted that if this continued, Young Master Yuwen might indeed be killed!

As for what the people around him were thinking, Lin Tian naturally had no idea.

Even if he did, he wouldn’t care.

Let alone Young Master Yuwen from the Yuwen Family, even if the top-notch Demon Sect from the Forbidden Curse Ridge came, he would still kill without hesitation!

“Damn it! Damn it! Do you know what other identity Young Master Yuwen has besides being the heir of the Yuwen Family?”

Nearby, Bi Rui’an, who had been kicked away by Lin Tian, coughed up blood furiously and took a while to recover. He then violently raised his head and rebuked Lin Tian in anger.

Lin Tian stopped his hand and looked back.

Seeing this, Bi Rui’an breathed a sigh of relief, thinking Lin Tian was afraid, and then stared at Lin Tian and said bitterly, “Young man, it is apparent your talent in Martial Arts is extremely high, such prowess is rare! But, do you know our identities? The power we belong to is unimaginable to you!”

“The strength we both have is considered at the bottom in our organization. The real powerhouses are a hundred, a thousand times stronger than us; killing you would be like crushing an ant! You have no idea what kind of existence you have provoked! If you kneel and admit your wrongs now, you still have a chance to live!”

Kill me like crushing an ant?

Lin Tian frowned slightly and fell silent for a moment.

The other people in the restaurant, seeing this, couldn’t help but relax their faces, believing that Lin Tian had realized the situation and was preparing to back down.

But Jia Yanjun, who was not far away, couldn’t help but change his expression, and the horror in his eyes grew even more intense!

He had witnessed Lin Tian’s terrifying methods firsthand and found Bi Rui’an’s threats to be laughably foolish, which could very likely cost him his life!

Sure enough.

After a moment of silence, Lin Tian reached out and grabbed a chopstick from the make-shift small cabinet where the restaurant’s utensils were displayed. True Qi swirled and filled the air, and then with a woosh, the chopstick shot out from his hand, piercing through the air.

Pfft~

The wooden chopstick went straight through Bi Rui’an’s throat, instantly sealing it, silencing him.

“Ah… he killed someone!”

The restaurant was filled with influential and high-status citizens from Cold Water River City, especially many noble ladies who had never seen such a bloody and terrifying scene. They couldn’t help but scream and thrown into chaos, scrambling towards the corners of the restaurant, looking at Lin Tian in horror from a distance.

Xiang Daisan and Lan Yueke, standing at the entrance of the restaurant, were utterly stunned!

Lin Tian had killed a man!

This had never crossed their minds!

Even Shu Yi was again shrouded in shock, standing there dumbfounded.

The young men who had just scolded Lin Tian and had come with Jia Yanjun shook all over, not daring to move an inch, their faces pale with fear that, in a fit of anger, Lin Tian might thrust a chopstick at them too, and they wouldn’t even know how they died!

“You… you…”

Yang Zhixi, severely injured on the ground, had watched Bi Rui’an be killed and stood shocked for a long while before turning to Lin Tian with a panic-stricken face, unable to speak coherently.

Lin Tian paid him no heed, turned back around, and grabbed Yuwen Building by the collar, lifting him up.

“You… you’re going to kill me?”

Yuwen Building could feel the dreadful killing intent emanating from Lin Tian, his face crawling with terror, his body trembling uncontrollably.

Lin Tian didn’t strike immediately, but his brow furrowed.

He realized that Yuwen Building, now as weak as any ordinary man with no ability to resist, had within him a seal, albeit a simplistic one for Lin Tian, which locked away all his cultivation.

Lin Tian could vaguely sense that Yuwen Building’s cultivation level was at least above Qi Refining Fifth Level, perhaps even higher, signaling considerable talent!

After a silent moment, Lin Tian finally spoke, “Killing you or not killing you makes little difference to me! But, you dared to forcibly engage my woman. Tell me, should I kill you?”

“What? Xiao Yi is your woman? Are you insane? Our Yuwen Family and the Shu Family had arranged a marriage pact long ago, intending for us to unite! You claim she’s your woman?”

Beforehand, Yuwen Building had been beaten up without understanding why, but now he suddenly came to his senses and angrily exclaimed, “And you, for a woman’s sake, dare to make an enemy of me and the Yuwen Family?”

Whoosh~

The people in the restaurant listened to the exchange between Lin Tian and Yuwen Building and couldn’t help but be stirred.

Lin Tian’s sudden violent assault and his thunderous execution were terrifying enough, but who could’ve imagined the reason to be so melodramatic, revolving around snatching a woman!

“I said she’s my woman, and so she is! Whether or not she follows me in the future, she belongs only to me. Whoever dares to touch her even slightly…”

Lin Tian narrowed his eyes and stared coldly at Yuwen Building, his voice authoritarian and chilly, “Not just touching her, but even the slightest verbal insult will not be forgiven. Your Yuwen Family is nothing in my eyes, easily wiped out with a snap of my fingers! And you, Yuwen Building, what are you? Less than an ant, crushable with a flick!”

“You…”

Yuwen Building, seeing the murderous intent and the terrifying aura of Lin Tian, was momentarily paralyzed with fear, but his raging anger could not be quelled. He felt humiliated as the man who had shared a betrothal with Shu Yi, having never met her or spoken a word to her, he still considered her his woman, and he could not hold back his roar, “This damned fool, this was well-arranged by our families, and now she has a man on the outside…”

Smack~

Before Yuwen Building could finish, Lin Tian slapped him once again, picking up a chopstick at the same time, ready to act.

“Lin Tian… don’t!”

Shu Yi had finally regained her composure, running forward in panic and grabbing Lin Tian’s hand.

“You’re very powerful, it’s clear your background is not ordinary, or perhaps you are just very confident in your skills. But… no matter the reason, I don’t want you to get hurt! The Yuwen Family is not as simple as you think!”

Holding Lin Tian’s hand, Shu Yi looked up at him with a face full of pleading and anxiety, “He’s only injured, the Yuwen Family won’t go to war over this. But if he dies, that will be hard to reverse! If you’re firm in your opposition, I will reject the engagement and I’ll convince my family about the marriage…”

Seeing Shu Yi like this, the killing intent in Lin Tian’s heart subsided slightly; he sighed inwardly, kicking Yuwen Building between the legs, watching the blood and gore there, watching Yuwen Building’s screams turn into faint whimpers before he passed out, then turned back to Shu Yi, “I promise you! Will you come with me?”

“No! I must rush back to my family home, at the very least to clear things with my grandfather and parents; they’ll know how to confront the Yuwen Family!”

Shu Yi shook her head vigorously, urgently saying, “Yuwen Building is just gravely injured, the Yuwen Family will be enraged at most. But if he dies, our family might very well go to war with them, and you’ll be in danger too. Once everything is dealt with, I’ll come to you!”
