One-Eyed Monster

Igor witnessed Kadi’s entire rampage. Moreover, this rampage was intricately connected to him. Originally, Kadi was not part of Igor’s plan; Kadi had charged forward of his own volition.

At the start, Igor had wanted to use a Spirit Painting of the World Setting Technique to briefly confuse the enemy, providing everyone some time, but the effectiveness of the Spirit Painting had clearly failed. What was more ironic was that this Spirit Painting was intended to confuse the Undead Creatures. Instead, Kadi was deceived by these Spirit Energy Paintings, mistaking them for the real Igor.

In reality, Igor had concealed himself after being blown away by Wizard Reed’s attack—a technique he had learned from Wizard Reed earlier. The reason Igor had to hide was because he needed to use spells that could not be disturbed; if interrupted, they would achieve nothing.

Coincidentally, he had learned the Concealment Spell on Guru Mountain. Although he couldn’t apply it as flexibly as the Hunters could, he was more than capable of concealing himself. Combined with the World Setting Technique learned from Senior Kuren, disguising himself became even easier. Therefore, the concealed Igor was impossible for Kadi to spot, and the Undead Creatures couldn’t find him either. At that moment, it seemed Igor had perfectly concealed himself.

Kadi’s appearance left Igor perplexed. Why is this guy so persistent in finding me? After a moment’s thought, he relaxed. He’s treating me as a friend and is genuinely concerned for my safety.

Igor felt a warmth spread through him, but the feeling lasted only a moment. Kadi’s emotions had shifted to despair, leading Igor to believe the situation was worsening. In this pressing situation, Igor had no choice but to alter his slow but steady plan.

Originally, Igor had prepared to use the World Setting Technique to stall their opponent, then find an opportunity to concentrate the colors of sunlight. However, once Kadi displayed his despair, Igor realized there wasn’t enough time. Time did not permit such a detailed plan. At this moment, Igor unconsciously wondered what Kadi might do in this situation. His brief interactions with Kadi had been highly enlightening, especially regarding problem-solving. If faced with an unsolvable problem, one should stop overthinking and simply act.

Conveniently, the despairing Kadi experienced an unusual surge of energy. Igor could use this opportunity to test his hypothesis.

Igor was no stranger to the colors of sunlight. Previously, at the Yonder Travel Academy, Igor and Hustace had created Artificial Rain Crystal Stones. Back then, they had used a combination of Lightning and Rain Spirit Power, then infused lightning into the stones using the Alchemy Equation. When the ordinary stones became filled with radiant colors, Igor truly understood the power of lightning. Later, he also learned that the power of lightning was intricately connected to the colors of sunlight. Every color was related to sunlight. Lightning was closest to sunlight, and although it couldn’t replace sunlight, it could be used to imitate its effects. Thus, Igor decided to use lightning in place of sunlight’s colors.

But where did I get the lightning? He had collected it during the fight against the stitched monstrosity. He had stored this lightning in stones, originally intending to trade them for the Spirit Book upon descending the mountain. However, the evolving situation forced him to change his plans for his collection; he took out all these stones at once.

The Ant Connection Spell also found its true use at this moment. Igor used the Ant Connection Spell to channel the energy within the stones to Kadi, allowing the energy Kadi was releasing to combine with the power of the lightning. Everything went smoothly; Kadi’s body possessed a natural resonance with the Ant Connection Spell.

Everyone witnessed what happened after the power of lightning entered Kadi’s body.

The outcome excited Igor because the burning Kadi had clearly become the most destructive force among them. Of course, this wasn’t the most important aspect. Kadi’s bravery making him unstoppable was quite natural. What truly excited Igor was that Kadi’s lightning-infused attacks were effective against these Undead Creatures.

Igor observed for a while, realizing that these Undead Creatures showed no fear of regular attacks. Even when struck, they showed no reaction, simply continuing their assault as if unharmed. However, following Kadi’s rampage, his attacks finally proved effective. This confirmed Igor’s hypothesis: the power of sunlight was needed to combat the Dark Force.

Originally, Igor had been troubled about how to obtain the colors of sunlight, but now his worries vanished. Lightning’s power is a form of sunlight’s power! I can use the power of lightning!

Unlike Igor’s excitement, everyone else was engulfed by negativity at this moment. They could only watch as Kadi charged recklessly into battle, unable to help, which made them feel ashamed and uncomfortable. Igor also noticed this negative sentiment, which was unfavorable for them. Kadi’s rampage had provided an opportunity, yet negativity had emerged at this very moment—something Igor couldn’t understand.

”We need to rally! We must cooperate!” At this moment, Igor felt the timing was right. I’m ready to fully execute my plan.

He once again used the Ant Connection Spell for communication; Igor had nearly overused this spell. Upon hearing Igor’s words, everyone straightened up, their negative emotions gradually subsiding.

Indeed, everything that has happened was influenced by Igor. Without him, we probably wouldn’t have made it this far. they thought. Either way, it all comes down to Igor. Let’s trust him now.

However, Igor did not give them time to ponder. Time was of the essence. The Dark Force was inherently strong; if it found a way to counter their current advantage, it would be all over for them.

”Stan, I need you to gather energy for me. Our final attack requires your Teleportation!” Igor began to distribute tasks, effectively becoming their commander.

”Senior Kuren, we need to use the World Setting Technique.”

”Chief Tulan, we need you to buy us time. Your team and the formation can assist Kadi in holding off these constantly splitting bastards, right?”

”Also, Senior Yuga, I need a faster way to recover Spirit Power…”

”Senior Joseph, we need a viewpoint, and Senior Arnold, can you bring me back into the Timeline? I need to jump!”

...

Igor’s assignments were clear and detailed. He had thoughtfully arranged everyone’s roles, ensuring each person could utilize their unique talents.

Undeniably, this arrangement breathed new life into these seniors who had felt themselves on the verge of fading away. The atmosphere of despair gradually lifted, replaced by a surge of confidence...
