One-Eyed Monster

Kadi was excited; he had seen the scene he wanted to see. Even though Igor hadn’t implemented the entire plan according to Kadi’s original thoughts, it didn’t matter. Kadi felt he had thoroughly disgusted the enemy lurking behind the scenes.

No matter how cold-blooded or rigid the enemy was, being toyed with in such a way must have made their teeth grind.

Igor and Stan Sol were also very relieved. Their plan had been a success. This nauseating method had not only bought them time but also thoroughly sickened the enemy, which was quite satisfying.

Igor really wanted to see the enemy’s facial expressions.

However, the situation was constantly changing. Even though Igor and Stan Sol were able to nauseate the hidden controller, they still had a long way to go to deliver a powerful blow to the enemy!

At the very least, they had to figure out the enemy’s true identity.

However, after the tide ebbed and flowed, significant changes occurred. The sea had returned to its original state, but the previous high tide had left many things behind in the areas it had soaked. Most of these were useless shells of various kinds, looking quite unique under the moonlight.

Aside from these shells, there were also small fish and shrimp, and of course, seaweed and scuttling crabs...

At first, Igor and the others didn’t think there was anything wrong with these things. It was a normal phenomenon after the tide receded, nothing to fixate on.

However, these stranded fish and shrimp didn’t behave like normal sea creatures, which would frantically flop about trying to return to the water. These stranded creatures on the shore seemed almost relieved...

This phenomenon caught the attention of the ever-observant Stan Sol.

Thinking it over, Stan Sol finally unraveled the mystery.

Meanwhile, the black sea began to churn again, the seawater it stirred up seeming to rush directly towards the stranded fish and shrimp.

”Igor, save them!” Stan Sol yelled, simultaneously transforming into a seabird and flying towards the stranded fish and shrimp.

The seabird, with its past experience battling the waves, snatched up a fish and changed its flight direction. However, the waves relentlessly pursued it, gradually accelerating, seemingly intending to slam the bird out of the sky.

The moment the seabird was hit, it shook its head, tossing the fish from its beak to another area untouched by seawater, where another seabird swooped in to catch it...

Igor and Stan Sol busily repeated their actions. Even though Igor still didn’t understand what Stan Sol meant by ”saving people,” he observed Stan Sol expending great effort to rescue the stranded fish and crabs, so he also sprang into action. This time, he followed Kadi’s advice: think bigger.

So, he conjured a large fishing boat. He was now going fishing!

Although this large fishing boat didn’t seem particularly grand, it represented a shift in Igor’s thinking. Sometimes, to defeat an enemy, you can’t rely on just one method; when necessary, any means can be employed.

Igor had conjured the fishing boat purely to nauseate the enemy. This fishing boat couldn’t possibly catch any fish—no, perhaps it could, but actually taking those fish away wouldn’t be so easy.

Because the waves could capsize the boat in a matter of a few Gudu Times; it could happen in the blink of an eye.

But if they can knock over one or two boats, can they knock over eight or ten?

Perhaps the sea could, but doing so would also sicken it!

And that was precisely the effect Igor was after. Nauseating you is enough.

His purpose was simply to buy Stan Sol time for the rescue.

Igor had truly learned the essence of Kadi’s approach!

Go big. That was why countless fishing boats appeared on the sea. These boats continuously absorbed the force of the waves while also fishing non-stop, sometimes even casting their nets towards the shore. Although these boats could never actually take the fish out of this sea, the intent behind them had deeply permeated the vast ocean.

Someone would eventually understand their painstaking efforts... someone would understand...

The more violently the waves crashed, the more successful Igor felt his plan was. His goal now wasn’t to defeat this powerful enemy, but to nauseate them and throw them off balance.

As for the fish, it wasn’t until this moment that Igor truly grasped what these fish represented!

The enemy was infuriated, desperately trying to force these fish back into the sea. Why? Wasn’t it to retain control over them? And these fish, they didn’t want to return at all. Why? Because there was no freedom to speak of in this sea.

You had to obey the sea to survive. That meant giving up everything, completely submitting to its will without a single complaint. If the sea commanded you east, you had to go east; if it commanded you west, you had to go west. Who would want to live such a puppet-like existence?

The answer was clear: no one would want that!

Igor and Stan Sol had experienced that feeling before. Escaping the sea had indeed been a fortunate turn of events for them. Now, they would not return to being mere fish, nor would they allow those who yearned to escape this vast ocean to be dragged back into the darkness.

Therefore, Igor conjured a grand fleet of fishing boats, even though this fleet was already being battered and broken by the waves.

Igor’s diversion proved quite effective; Stan Sol’s flock of birds managed to bring several fish to the shore.

The departure of the fish put the sea in an indescribable state. Igor didn’t know how to describe what he was witnessing, but he could definitely feel the sea getting angry.

Yes, anger, Igor realized. Those fish they rescued had made the sea uneasy and panicked.

Igor didn’t understand what the sea was panicking about. So what if the creatures under its control were escaping? Was it really necessary to react so strongly?

Igor didn’t understand this, but Stan Sol understood it very clearly.

The sea’s controller had always dominated these fish. Now, the fish and shrimp had broken free. Once out, they would no longer be as they were in the ocean’s depths. They had suffered endless torment there and understood its nature completely. Now, they finally had the chance to confront it...

This state of mind, this burning desire for revenge, would only grow stronger!

Then, Igor saw the fish and shrimp rapidly transform. Steam billowed as the previously motionless creatures suddenly changed their forms and stood upright on the open ground.

One, two, three...

More and more people stood up, a sight that surprised even Igor!
