Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 531: Moving Treasure Box!

”What are you afraid of? You only need to leave a tracker on that Kraken Fox with [Mapping Sense] skill, and I will re-summon you back here quickly!” Tang Li Xue replied to her perfect copy from their mental connection.

The perfect copy rolled her topaz blue eyes and replied while shuddering in disgust: ”It is really easy for you to say that... I really hate its disgusting slimy tentacles! Especially the countless nauseous sucker holes on its tentacles, it can easily trigger trypophobia!”

”I never told you to touch that Kraken Foxʼs body or observe its nauseous tentacles, right?! Stop being so fussy, and just do your job properly!” Tang Li Xue scolded in annoyance.

Tang Li Xueʼs mood worsened because she failed to find the fox who was holding the treasure box until now.

The perfect copy could only gnash her fangs as she gritted her resolve and jumped into the water, then dived deeper.

The water in this water dungeon was not clean at all. It was turbid and stunk so badly, like in the sewer.

It was heavy torture for all the foxes in this treasure game since the foxes have a sharp sense of smell!

Deep in the turbid water, Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy could not see anything at all.

Luckily, she could still sense her surrounding quite clearly with her [Extrasensory Perception].

ʼIt seems that Kraken Fox is not here anymore...ʼ The perfect copy muttered in her mind when she failed to find the Kraken Fox at the location where the [Golden Winged Serpent] had fought the Kraken Fox before.

Since she failed to find any trace of the Kraken Fox here after looking for five minutes or so, the perfect copy decided to survey the surrounding corridors and channels first.

.....

Meanwhile, Tang Li Xue was still looking for the treasure box until now.

About thirty minutes had almost passed since this treasure game had started.

So, Tang Li Xue only had thirty more minutes left to snatch the treasure box if she wanted to win this treasure game!

”Damn it~! I have not even seen any box yet until now!” Tang Li Xue complained while she kept flying toward the direction where the red arrow was pointing at.

Tang Li Xue started to feel that the treasure box was avoiding her instead!

”Eh? Wait a minute... A moving treasure box... is avoiding me...” Tang Li Xue muttered as her mind suddenly caught another important hint.

Tang Li Xueʼs topaz blue eyes shone brighter like a pair of stars as she blurted: ”All of this time, I always thought that another fox had already gotten the treasure box, and then that fox took the treasure box to keep running away from the other foxes...”

”But what if... no fox has found that treasure box yet! It is the treasure box itself that keeps running away to avoid all the foxes from finding it!”

”Yes, this must be right! That was the reason why the rules said that we must find the treasure box and hold the treasure box until the time is up! It is because the treasure box could run or even escape by itself!” Tang Li Xue concluded excitedly.

Then Tang Li Xueʼs expression became solemn again as she thought something and said: ”Since that treasure box can keep running away from all the foxes, then it means the treasure box could also sense or find the location of all the foxes. Maybe it also has something similar to our red arrow... Sigh, this has become even more troublesome than I thought!”

If the first treasure game was to test the participantsʼ combat power, then this second treasure game should be intended to test their deduction and tracking ability!

At first, Tang Li Xue thought this Foxes Hunting Festival would only test their battle power, but it seems she was completely wrong.

This Foxes Hunting Festival was clearly not that simple!

”Aisss... This Foxes Hunting Festival is almost the same as the Inheritance Ground Tablet, but only on a much bigger scale! Now I know why Instructor Lan suggested that I should enter the Inheritance Ground Tablet first before.” Tang Li Xue contemplated while sighing again.

From all of the information that Tang Li Xue deduced, she also managed to think of another important clue.

Since the location of this treasure game was in the dim dungeon that was submerged 60 to 70 percent in the water, the treasure box could probably move freely in the water!

That was the only reason why Tang Li Xue failed to even see that treasure box until now!

Tang Li Xue hastily jumped down from the flying disc and dived deep into the turbid water to find the treasure box.

ʼYuck~! Why the hell does the game maker need to make the water in this treasure game so dirty and smelly like this?!ʼ Tang Li Xue complained in her mind and silently cursed the game maker.

But Tang Li Xue immediately found another problem after she dived into turbid water...

She might be able to sense the surrounding quite clearly in this turbid water using her [Extrasensory Perception], but she could not sense or see the red arrow that was pointing at the treasure box here!

ʼDamn it~! This treasure game is truly a big scam! How the hell can I find the treasure box like this?!ʼ Tang Li Xue thought in vexation.

When Tang Li Xue had a terrible headache about what she must do to find the treasure box as quickly as she could, her perfect copy suddenly muttered from their mental connection: ”Err, I have one good news and one bad news here... Which one do you want to hear first?”

”Stop joking around! we do not have time much time left! Have you already done your job yet? Err... Wait... What the...?!” Tang Li Xue wanted to scold her perfect copy, but when she read her perfect copyʼs mind through their mental connection, she was astonished that instant.

”Yes, the good news is I already found the Kraken Fox and left a tracker on its body. It was also too busy doing something, so it did not bother to chase after me.” The perfect copy still spoke in Tang Li Xueʼs mind.

”Uhh... Well, as for the bad news... the Kraken Fox is currently using its smaller tentacles to chase after a small box... By the way, that small fox is moving extremely fast under the water. Do you think that small box is the treasure box you are currently looking for?” The perfect copy uttered with an awkward tone.

”Please just stop your chatter and quickly follow them closely now! If you dare to lose track of that box, I swear I will make you starve to half-dead for a few months!” Tang Li Xue warned with an angry tone.

”Aye aye, sir~!” The perfect copy replied obediently.

Now, Tang Li Xue was facing another big problem...

There were still around twenty-five more minutes left.

Even if she managed to somehow obtain the treasure box now, could she hold the treasure box while facing the three predator-level foxes and stalling until the time was up later?!

Nope, that was clearly an impossible task to do!

So, there was only one thing she could do right now!

Pit the three of them to fight against each other!

When Tang Li Xue thought of some plans to do it, her perfect copy silently followed the Kraken Fox that was still keep chasing after the small box.

The Kraken Foxʼs smaller tentacles could move extremely fast underwater, but surprisingly, the small box could move even faster than them!

Just when the Kraken Foxʼs smaller tentacles almost trapped the small box on the wall, the small box actually entered the small hole in the wall and disappeared!

ʼSh*t! So, it can escape that way?! No wonder the real me failed to find this box until now!ʼ The perfect copy thought in astonishment.

”Wha... What the hell?! What if that treasure box kept hiding in the hole until the time was up?! Doesnʼt it mean no one can win this game?!” Tang Li Xue exclaimed in disbelief.

”Uhh, no... It should be impossible, right? I think that treasure box should probably only use this hole as a shortcut to go to another place, and there might be many more other holes like this one in this entire water dungeon.” The perfect copy guessed with an uncertain tone.

Meanwhile, the Kraken Fox became extremely irritable after it lost track of the treasure box just now.

When it sensed the sneaky perfect copy at the corner of the corridor, the Kraken Fox immediately decided to chase after her!

”This damned ugly fox~! Why are you taking out your anger on me when you are the one who cannot catch the treasure box?!” The perfect copy cursed the Kraken Fox in her heart while quickly swimming away from it.

”I already think of a good plan. We will execute it now!” Tang Li Xue whispered to her perfect copy from their mental connection and sent the information about her plan.

”Just like the small red arrow, that treasure box can also sense the location of all foxes, including me, in the same way. But you are different since you are my perfect copy, so it could not sense your location at all. Well, probably...” Tang Li Xue stated in an unsure tone.

ʼSo, you are not sure yet, right?” The perfect copy muttered doubtfully.

”Yes, but we have no other choice right now. We can only try it. Letʼs switch our task now! You will chase the treasure box while I will bait the Kraken Fox toward the other predator-level fox!” Tang Li Xue urged her perfect copy.

”But I do not have the red arrow to point me to the treasure boxʼs location... How could I find that treasure box alone?” The perfect copy complained.

”Donʼt worry! I will keep sending the direction of my red arrow to you with our mental connection! You only need to search the treasure box under the water based on the direction given by me!” Tang Li Xue said to her perfect copy with a tone filled with confidence.

While Tang Li Xue and her perfect copy whispered to each other with their mental connection, the Kraken Fox had already arrived right behind the perfect copy!

Just when the Kraken Fox reached its enormous tentacles to catch the perfect copyʼs silver furry figure, Tang Li Xue already used the [Swap] skill to exchange position with her perfect copy!

Tang Li Xue awoke the deep blue Phoenix of Pride sleeping in her Dantian and entered [Perfect Assimilation] in an instant!

[Sun Dragon Flash]!

Tang Li Xue quickly ignited her deep blue Flame of Pride as a booster like the rocket and dashed out from the water at extremely high speed!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM~!!!
