Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 475: An Even More Terrifying Monster!

Other than a mouth that can bite even a metal, Sapphire Armored Wasps also has a sharp stinger that could be launched like a bullet and a pair of sharp sickle arms.

The armies of Sapphire Armored Wasps moved very swiftly and launched relentless attacks on the black two-headed dogs that already viciously bit their comrades.

The merciless attacks from the Sapphire Armored Wasps managed to cut the body of black two-headed dogs, but there was no blood coming out, only black smoke.

All the wounds on black two-headed dogsʼ bodies could recover almost instantly as if they were never gotten wounded at all before, while the attack from the group of black two-headed dogs could hardly pierce the thick armor of Sapphire Armored Wasps.

While the two groups were locked in a deadlock battle, Tang Li Xue took this chance to sneak away from that battlefield place as quickly as possible before she was discovered by anyone.

ʼSigh... That was close... I should be more careful from now on. One slip can bring us into a dangerous situation.ʼ Tang Li Xue sighed in relief as she proceeded carefully deeper into Gargantuan Sapphire Wasp Hive, Tang Li Xue found out that the guards were decreased a lot compared to before.

After sprinting for quite a long time, Tang Li Xue felt really dizzy since all the tunnels looked the same.

She felt as if she was walking around in the circle all this time.

If it was not for Little Lokiʼs ability to detect precious treasures and show her the right direction, she would have been already lost her way long ago, and it might take her a few months of exploration to find the place where the Sapphire Armored Wasps store their precious royal jelly and honey.

”So, it was like this... This Gargantuan Sapphire Wasp Hive actually has many floors like modern skyscraper buildings. Each floor also has many rooms to store foods, and some rooms also used to contain wasp eggs and larvas.” Tang Li Xue muttered with a cautious tone as she peeked at the closely guarded rooms.

”Trying to pass this route seems to be very dangerous... Forget it, it is better for us to take some detour rather than take a high-risk route like this.” Tang Li Xue said while patting at Little Lokiʼs little furry head in her embrace.

Despite what she was saying to Little Loki, Tang Li Xue herself was quite anxious inside since her time was quite limited.

Tang Li Xueʼs time limit was until sunrise in the morning and her [Shadow Walker] would fade under the sunlight then her invisible state would be canceled by itself.

Even if she was using [Stealth Talisman +3] to turn herself invisible, its effect could only work for an hour or so.

Moreover, many worker-type Sapphire Armored Wasps that have rested at night might wake up in the morning to work, so it would be many times harder for her to sneak around and steal something from this Gargantuan Sapphire Wasp Hive.

Tang Li Xue still decided to take a detour, but she did not hesitate to execute her [Snow Dance Step] to push her speed beyond her maximum speed limit.

[Snow Dance Step] would leave a thin layer of ice and snow under Tang Li Xueʼs feet, and it might increase her chance of being discovered, but Tang Li Xue did not have any other choice in order to save some time.

Tang Li Xue almost got discovered by Sapphire Armored Wasps several times on her way, and she was forced to release several evil spirits from her [Scepter of Disaster] several times as a distraction before she could escape safely from them.

Tang Li Xueʼs heart ached very much every time she sacrificed her evil spirits for distraction. They were supposed to be a part of her personal armies in the future!

ʼAishhh... I hope those honey and royal jelly really worth my every effort and sacrifice, if not I might lose my temper later...ʼ Tang Li Xue gnashed her pearl white teeth in sorrow.

After several hours of rushing carefully deeper into the nest with her [Snow Dance Step] while avoiding getting discovered on the way, she finally managed to arrive at the main core area, the center of Gargantuan Sapphire Wasp Hive.

Tang Li Xue hid at the corner in one of the dark tunnels and stuck out her head to take a peek at the main core area.

The center core area of Gargantuan Sapphire Wasp Hive was actually a very spacious-looking hall.

The surrounding wall used to build this spacious hall seems special since it was glowing brightly with golden color.

Tang Li Xue certainly could not rely on her [Shadow Walker] to sneak into this spacious hall since [Shadow Walker] would only make her invisible in the dim and dark place.

Moreover, there were at least more than one thousand Sapphire Armored Wasps hovering around in this spacious hall as if they were guarding something.

Tang Li Xueʼs slender body shivered slightly when she was peeking at a tightly guarded spacious hall.

The thought of retreating flashed in her mind, but when she was started to falter and hesitate, Little Loki who sat on the top of her right shoulder began to act restless, and it suddenly let out a sound.

”Nyaw~! Nyaw~!” Little Loki meowed while using its tiny paw to tap Tang Li Xueʼs shoulder, and then it pointed its tiny paw toward the center of a tightly guarded spacious hall.

”Hm? Whatʼs wrong, Little Loki? Over there? What is that? That... that is... the royal jelly?!” Tang Li Xue asked while glancing at the direction where Little Lokiʼs tiny paw pointed at and noticed a small milky pond.

The small milky pond was covered with very thick spiritual energy in the form of shiny silver vapor.

Even the surrounding space around the pool was slightly pulsating because the richness of spiritual energy contained in the royal jelly pond was too thick.
There were also several golden-colored ponds around the spacious hall. It seems these several golden-colored ponds were the honey.

The amount of honey was clearly tens of times richer than the total amount of royal jelly, but the effect and spiritual energy contained in the royal jelly might be more than a hundred more times effective and richer than the honey.

Tang Li Xueʼs topaz blue eyes were glittering as her happy smile bloom beautifully in excitement when she saw the small pool of viscous silvery royal jelly.

”I wonder how much EXP I can get if I drink all of that royal jelly?! Is it possible for me to evolve directly to [Rare] grade beast... Err... I mean evolve to a Beast Lord? Uwehehehe... Must take it! I must take all of it!” Tang Li Xue murmured with an excited tone.

As for the golden honey pools, Tang Li Xue certainly wanted to steal it too if she have some more spare time later, but the royal jelly was still her top priority.

Tang Li Xue could certainly find some honey pools in the previous tightly guarded storage rooms if she searched carefully, but she did not do it because she was afraid of getting discovered before she could steal the royal jelly, that was the reason why she forbore until now.

Just when Tang Li Xue secretly observed the spacious hall to look for the gap on the patrolling Sapphire Armored Wasps, her sense of danger was suddenly assaulted by a terrible threat.

Tang Li Xueʼs entire slender body was trembling violently as she almost lost her breath in panic.

Tang Li Xue reflexively pulled her head and swiftly took a few steps back to distance herself from the spacious hallʼs entrance, then she quickly lay down and kept her body as low as possible on the ground.

Tang Li Xue did not know that her swift reflex moves were triggered by her sharp [Spirit Perception] and high Spirit Stat just saved her life.

That sense of horrible life-threatening danger was lingering for a few more minutes before it disappeared completely.

”Cough... Cough... Cough... What the hell is that?” Tang Li Xue murmured as she stopped holding her breath and coughed violently, even her face turned really pale.

”Nyaw~ Meow~!” Little Loki jumped down from Tang Li Xueʼs shoulder and stared at her full of worry.

”It is okay. I am all right.” Tang Li Xue said as she tried to put a gentle smile while patting Little Lokiʼs tiny furry head.

After calming herself down and taking some time to appease Little Loki too, Tang Li Xue approached the entrance of the spacious hall again and stuck out her head to look at what had just threatened her just now.

After looking around for a while, she finally saw a different-looking wasp nested on the wide platform at the top of the royal jelly pool. There were also many sapphire eggs scattered around that different-looking wasp.

This different-looking wasp was five times bigger than the other normal Sapphire Armored Wasps, and the color of its armor was also a lot darker but shinier than them.

ʼOh, my God... I almost forget that royal jelly is supposed to be the special food prepared for the queen bee... or the queen wasp since they need more nutritious food for laying eggs.ʼ Tang Li Xue finally remembered a little bit of common knowledge about royal jelly.

As if sensing Tang Li Xueʼs stare, the Sapphire Wasp Queen glanced suspiciously at the tunnel where Tang Li Xue hide.

The feeling of life-threatening danger once again pressed on Tang Li Xueʼs [Spirit Perception], so she quickly jumped back and laid down on the floor again while holding her breath and used her [Art of Concealment] to suppress her presence to the lowest possible.

ʼHoly sh*t! So the dangerous feeling I sense from before was really from her!ʼ Tang Li Xue cursed in her heart.

ʼDamn monster! With that kind of monster guarding the royal jelly pool, how the hell I can steal the royal jelly under that monster nose and its armies?!ʼ Tang Li Xue thought in frustration and despair.

Not to mention Tang Li Xue, even Little Loki did not dare to make any sound carelessly under the threatening pressure of the Sapphire Wasp Queen.

Although Little Loki was not afraid of Sapphire Wasp Queen, but it was not a fool.

From the aura and pressure it emitted, this Sapphire Wasp Queen was clearly a lot more powerful than the White Feathered Giant Owl that Little Loki had faced before.

Little Loki knew that it could not even win against White Feathered Giant Owl let alone against this Sapphire Wasp Queen and its tens of thousands of armies.

If it recklessly jumped out from their hiding place and tried to fight against this Sapphire Wasp Queen head-on to take the royal jelly, it was the same as asking to be beaten!

Little Loki itself has enough abilities to escape but it might drag Tang Li Xue into huge trouble, and she might even get killed because of it.

Unfortunately for Tang Li Xue and Little Loki, the Sapphire Wasp Queen did not plan to let it go easily this time, and it ordered many patrolling Sapphire Armored Wasps to check at where Tang Li Xue and Little Loki hide right now.
