Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 373 Sudden Blinding Light!

”Yes. We must make our move tonight, or the situation would be really bad for our target. We will meet up right now and stealthy heading to the night banquet together.” Instructor Mei Lan told Tang Li Xue their next plan.

”All right, I understand! I am in my room right now, the 3rd room on the right side of Imperial Garden.” Instructor Mei Lan told Instructor Mei Lan her current location.

”Stay there and get ready. We will head there first to pick you up.” Instructor Mei Lan said before turned off the Communication Talisman.

After storing her Communication Talisman back into her space pouch, Tang Li Xue opened her systemʼs status window, then she decided to summon Yaya and Little Loki out from her systemʼs storage.

Little Loki still looked nonchalant and lazy as usual. It gracefully jumped onto Tang Li Xueʼs shoulder while yawned, and then it laid down lazily on Tang Li Xueʼs shoulder as if it wanted to continue its nap.

While the hot-headed Yaya was already fuming in rage because Tang Li Xue put her too long in the systemʼs storage, so she immediately complained and pouted in anger when Tang Li Xue summoned her out right now.

Even Tang Li Xue needed to coax Yaya for a few minutes and bribed her with some delicious snacks before Yayaʼs anger subsided.

”You two, listen up... We will be carrying on a very dangerous and important mission with Instructor Lan and the others tonight. So, I hope we can work together to complete this mission. I also hope that you two can listen to my every instruction later and never do something reckless, do you understand?” Tang Li Xue said to Yaya and Little Loki with a very stern tone.

Yayaʼs expression also turned solemn as she nodded to Tang Li Xue, signified that she understood it.

Little Loki still laid down lazily on Tang Li Xueʼs shoulder. It did not raise its head but only nodded its head a bit.

Tang Li Xue smiled in satisfaction and felt reassured by Yaya and Little Lokiʼs response, so she decided to gently pat the heads of Yaya and Little Loki.

Tang Li Xue joked and played around with Yaya and Little Loki for a few minutes in her room while waiting for Instructor Mei Lan and the others to arrive.

It did not take long for Instructor Mei Lan and the others to reach Tang Li Xueʼs room.

When Tang Li Xue opened her roomʼs door and let them entered her room first, Instructor Mei Lan took out Tang Li Xueʼs space pouch from her sleeve and gave it back to Tang Li Xue along with a set of black clothes.

”Little Xue! I miss you so much!” Hei Yinghao immediately jumped toward Tang Li Xue as soon as she opened the door, but Tang Li Xue only turned her body a bit to dodge him.

”Little Xue! I miss you very much!” Bing Yi did the same thing as Hei Yinghao and hugged Tang Li Xue, but Tang Li Xue did not mind her and even hugged her back.

Hei Yinghao immediately put his usual wronged expression as if Tang Li Xue had bullied him as he pouted at Tang Li Xue.

”Quickly change your clothes into these black clothes first! You do not want all the people in the banquet to recognize your appearance and put a high bounty for your head in the future, right?” Instructor Mei Lan said to Tang Li Xue with a teasing smile on her face.

Tang Li Xue was stunned for a moment when she suddenly received a set of black clothes from Instructor Mei Lan, but her expression turned serious as she quickly replied: ”Oh… Okay. I get it.”

Not only Instructor Mei Lan but even Bing Yi and Hei Yinghao were already wearing a complete set of black clothes from head to toe. No one could recognize them anymore when anyone saw them right now.

Tang Li Xue used her [Ethereal Form] divine ability to pass through the wall and went into the empty room next to her own room to get changed.

After she got changed, Tang Li Xue noticed that this set of black clothes were not that simple. There were some hidden inscriptions inscribed on these black clothes that could shut the aura, breathes, scent, and so on of the one who wore them.

Though it was not that useful for Tang Li Xue since her [Ethereal Form] divine ability already has [Conceal] passive skill that could do all of those.

But at least this set of black clothes would help her cover her face, her silver hair, her fox ears, her foxtail, and even her most easy to recognize topaz blue eyes were covered by the shade effect thanks to this set of black clothes.

After making sure that she managed to cover everything from her face to her fox ears and foxtail from her own reflection in the silver mirror created from her [Energy Manipulation], Tang Li Xue activated her [Ethereal Form] again and went back to her room where Instructor Mei Lan and the others were already waiting for her.

”I am ready. Should we go to the night banquet right now?” Tang Li Xue asked Instructor Mei Lan with a curious tone.

”Your clone is currently attending that night banquet now, right? Describe the current situation of that night banquet as clearly as you can to me while we are on our way toward there.” Instructor Mei Lan ordered Tang Li Xue while leading her and the others out from the room, then all of them were heading together toward the center of Imperial Palace.

Tang Li Xue told the current situation of the night banquet to Instructor Mei Lan without missing any single detail. She even told Instructor Mei Lan about her previous coincidental meeting with the Empress and how she was led by the Empress to sit beside Crown Prince Feng.

/p>

Actually, there was nothing important that happened in the night banquet until now.

A few minutes after Elder Yang and Ye Zhen arrived at the banquet, the Emperor started his long speech about this and that.

In short, the Emperor told everyone to calm down and do not be afraid of the serial killer. On the contrary, they must hold the dignity of the Imperial Family and work together to capture the hiding serial killer.

Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy sighed in boredness and thought: ʼOld man, it is easy for you to say that, but who would dare to put their life to work together in capturing the serial killer? All of the people here already indulged themselves too long in wealth and authority, so how could you urge them to do something dangerous like that.ʼ

Just when the real Tang Li Xue and the others almost reached the location of the banquet, Instructor Mei Lan immediately raised her hand and whispered: ”Halt! We will get caught if we are too close, so we can only wait here.”

Instructor Mei Lan told the others while led them to hide on the top of the nearby big tree.

The big tree was quite high, so they could watch the night banquet from the top of that big tree. Although, they were still quite far away from the banquetʼs location, so they could not see it that clearly.

”Instructor Lan, what are we waiting for? Would we wait until the banquet is over to make our move and catch that serial killer?” Bing Yi whispered to Instructor Mei Lan and asked with a curious tone.

”No, we will wait for the people from Immortal Sword Sect and that serial killer to make their move first.” Instructor Mei Lan replied while kept observing the night banquet from the top of the big tree.

Tang Li Xue glanced at Instructor Mei Lan in confusion and pondered: ʼSo, we will wait for them to clash with each other first?! I really did not get it… Why do we need to wait like this? Arenʼt we going to get more advantage if we make our move first?ʼ

ʼI know that the people of Immortal Sword Sect have several Nascent Soul Stage Elders protecting them there, but we can easily threaten them with the lives of so many people there, including Elder Yang. Then we can use that chance to catch that serial killer and escape as fast as we can from here, right?ʼ Tang Li Xue already secretly formulated a plan in her mind.

Of course, she would not execute it without Instructor Mei Lanʼs permission, so she glanced at Instructor Mei Lan in confusion.

Instructor Mei Lan seemed to be able to read what was inside Tang Li Xueʼs mind as she suddenly giggled at Tang Li Xue and said: ”I know you are confused why we must wait like this because we can get a lot of advantage if we made our moves first. Hmm...”

Instructor Mei Lan thought for a while before chucked and said to Tang Li Xue again: ”It would be too bothersome to explain it with words. Letʼs just wait and see. You will definitely understand the reason for this sooner or later.”

Tang Li Xue tilted her head cutely in confusion, but she still decided to follow Instructor Mei Lanʼs words and wait patiently while feeding Yaya and Little Loki with a lot of delicious foods since she did not feed them since yesterday.

After a long and tedious speech, the Emperor finally raised his cup to toast with all the people who attend the banquet tonight.

BBBWWWWWOOOOOSSSHHHHH~!!!

But suddenly, the floor below their feet shone with blinding white light.

All the people at the banquet were so surprised that they dropped the cup on their grasp in shock. Many of them started to panic and screaming in fright.
