Reincarnated As a Fox With System

Chapter 359 Asking For Assistance!

”How about disguising as one of the imperial guards to infiltrate there?” Tang Li Xue murmured, but she quickly shook her head to deny the idea.

”Even imperial guards probably could not approach Imperial Familyʼs Palace for now, since only the trusted guards, maids, or servants of Imperial Family could enter there right now.” Tang Li Xue said while she bit her pink lips in frustration.

Tang Li Xue kept thinking about a precise way to enter the Imperial Familyʼs Palace while waved her hand to disperse the full-body mirror and a layer of the cover wall around her that she created from her [Energy Manipulation] divine ability before.

Tang Li Xue narrowed her topaz blue eyes and thought: ʼIt seems it would be hard for me to infiltrate the Imperial Familyʼs Palace without anyoneʼs assistance, but that should not be a big problem for my perfect copy.ʼ

ʼFurthermore, my perfect copy looks quite close already to Elder Yang right now, and that Elder Yang also seems to fawn on her a lot. Luckily, I have already escaped from the imperial guardsʼ custody, so the range restriction between me and my perfect copy is no longer a problem.ʼ Tang Li Xue concluded in her mind.

ʼPerfect copy, I can only be counting on you to do it in my place. I do not care if you must seducing, flattering, or coaxing that Elder Yang first for now. You should definitely ask him to help you enter Imperial Familyʼs Palace so you can look for the serial killer later!ʼ Tang Li Xue thought while told her perfect copy of what she must do right now.

The real Tang Li Xue and her perfect copy was one being and one soul, but with two bodies and two minds, so her perfect copy knew in an instant what the real Tang Li Xue was currently thinking even though they were quite far from each other right now.

…..

…

.

Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy, who was currently still chatting happily with Elder Yang, suddenly froze when she caught what the real Tang Li Xue was thinking right now.

”Chou Nu (Ugly Girl)? Are you all right? Your face looks a bit pale. If you feel tired or sick, then I can bring you to take a rest at the nearby pavilion.” Elder Yang asked Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy with a worried tone.

Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy smiled at Elder Yang and said with to reassure him: ”I am all right. It is just that I am a bit under the weather today. But you do not need to worry. I will be okay after drinking a few cups of tea later. And also, please never call me Chou Nu ever again!”

Elder Yang chuckled and replied with a playful tone: ”Why not? You are the one who says your name is Chou Nu! So I will always call you that from now on! Chou Nu~! Chou Nu~! Why are you so unsightly (Chou)?!”

The pink lips of Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy twitched as she stared at Elder Yang in anger and annoyance.

In the end, she decided to walk faster and ignored Elder Yang.

Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy also took this brief moment to complain to the real Tang Li Xue and sent her thought: ʼAre you kidding with me?! That is the mission given by Instructor Lan to you! Why the hell must I do that for you?! You can just swap place with me and do that by yourself!ʼ

The real Tang Li Xue rolled her topaz blue eyes and replied by thinking: ʼMy perfect copy, do you forget about the current outfit I am wearing right now? The incident with Instructor Lan before should be a lesson for us. We should not rely too much on our [Swap] skill, especially when we are wearing different masks or clothes unless we are facing some life-threatening issues.ʼ

The outfit of Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy always identical to the real Tang Li Xue when she first summoned it out, so if the real Tang Li Xue unsummoned her perfect copy and summoned her out again right now, then her perfect copy would wear the maid outfit too just like her right now.

Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy was actually also aware of that, but she just did not want to beg Elder Yang to help her enter Imperial Familyʼs Palace. Who knew if this cunning man would blackmail her again later when she asked him to do that, just like before.

The real Tang Li Xue send her thought again to her perfect copy: ʼI know what you are thinking, but we do not have any other choice for now since we really need his assistance. However, you do not have to worry too much about it. I would prepare another backup plan in case if Elder Yang refused to fulfill your request to enter Imperial Familyʼs Palace.ʼ

Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy gasped in shock and disbelief when she read what was in the real Tang Li Xueʼs mind and muttered in her mind: ʼYou planned to seduce… Err… I mean asking for help from that core disciple Ye Zhen?! Isnʼt his position a bit too low to help you with that? Are you sure he can really help you?ʼ

Real Tang Li Xue rolled her eyes and replied with a gloomy expression: ʼWe only familiar with two people here, Elder Yang and Ye Zhen. Who else are we going to ask for help other than these two people? The emperor of Feng Empire himself? Sigh… I can only hope anyone of them can help us to enter Imperial Familyʼs Palace. But we still must find the serial killer first before them and report back to Instructor Lan.ʼ

Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy nodded her head sympathetically and comforted her real self: ʼInstructor Lan really gave us a really hard mission this time. But try to look at the bright side, the quest we get from the system is also set in Hard Difficulty because of that, and we will get a pretty good reward if we manage to complete it, right?ʼ

ʼAll right, letʼs stop our discussion here and begin to do our own part from now on. I hope we are quite lucky this time.ʼ The real Tang Li Xue prayed in her heart.

When Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy was still walking hastily in a daze, Elder Yang suddenly called her from behind and said: ”Uh… Chou Nu, you are heading in the wrong direction. We should be heading this way.”

Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy: ”…..”

She suddenly halted her step and turned back to glare at Elder Yang while said in an angry tone: ”You are doing it on purpose, arenʼt you?!”

Elder Yang chuckled at Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy and replied: ”Chou Nu, why do you always want to walk so quickly in front of me if you do not even know the place we are heading to? You do not even know the direction! And now you even blame me for showing the right direction to you?”

”I… I...” Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy could not rebuke Elder Yangʼs words.

”How about this? I will let you lead the way in front of me from now on, and I will just follow you quietly from behind. Would you be satisfied with this?” Elder Yang said again with a mischievous smile on his face.

Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy bit her pink lips in annoyance, but she admitted it that she could not win in any argument against this Elder Yang, so she could only make a lame excuse to dodge it: ”It is because you are walking too slow! The sky would turn dark soon if I keep following you dilly-dally around.”

Elder Yang laughed at the reply from Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy, and he kept teasing her again and again.

The helpless Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy could only swallow her annoyance since she always lost to Elder Yang in argue.

…..

…

.

The real Tang Li Xue sighed in relief when she saw that the relationship between her perfect copy and Elder Yang seemed pretty close already.

There was at least about sixty to seventy percent chance of success if her perfect copy asked Elder Yang to bring her into Imperial Familyʼs Palace right now.

Tang Li Xue wanted to use her [Ethereal Form] divine ability, but before she could activate it, she managed to see a folded grey-colored blanket on the bed beside her.

Tang Li Xue took that grey-colored blanket to wrap her body like a cloak to cover her furry silver fox tail and a pair of fox ears on the top of her head.

ʼNot bad! At least, it can help me cover my fox tail and fox ears for now. No one can probably see me when I activated my [Ethereal Form] divine ability, but I certainly cannot meet that Ye Zhen in my [Ethereal Form], right?ʼ Tang Li Xue thought while nodded in satisfaction.

After that, Tang Li Xue activated her [Ethereal Form], and her slender figure turned invisible in an instant.

She easily passed through all the buildingʼs wall with her [Ethereal Form] and went out from the Hall of Purity and Tranquility.

Unfortunately, Tang Li Xue got lost again inside this vast Imperial Palace when she was looking for Ye Zhenʼs whereabouts.

It was true that Tang Li Xue has Mastered level [Mapping Sense] skill, but this was the first time she ever entered and roaming around this vast Imperial Palace, so it was not strange that she could easily get lost here.

ʼOh, right! I almost forget to use this [Mapping Sense] special skill and leave a tracking mark on that Elder Yang, so I can easily keep on track of his every movement later! My perfect copy, I will leave this task to you too!ʼ Tang Li Xue thought while she kept sprinting so fast with her [Moonlight Flickering Flash Step].

Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy could only roll her eyes in annoyance when she received that thought.

However, Tang Li Xueʼs perfect copy did not complain and decided to carry it out soon since leaving a tracking mark on someone important like Elder Yang to monitor his every movement was a must.
