Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

Chapter 549: Chapter 549: The Unexpected Arrival (Part 4)

Everyone’s eyes, filled with panic and unease, were fixed on Qin Xin.

Her face slightly fell, her brows knitted, as she made the first judgment: ”We can’t leave now. We should stay in place as much as possible.”

The cause of this sudden earthquake, whether it would continue, and when the rescue team could arrive, were all questions.

Going out recklessly would only lead to death.

As soon as she finished speaking, the people of Class 2 were the first to respond: ”Okay, we’ll listen to Sister Xin.”

If it weren’t for Qin Xin, they would have been buried under the rubble long ago.

Even Yu Xiaochun, trembling, echoed in response.

Qin Xin’s shout for her to ”get lost” had indeed saved her life.

Now her feelings were both fearful and complicated!

The people from other faculties, hearing Qin Xin’s judgment, mostly nodded in agreement: ”That’s right, observing in place is safer.”

Someone even relaxed a bit: ”I think the spot your Sister Xin chose at the Ice Lake is pretty good. We can skate a bit too, which is nice!”

”Exactly, the terrain is open, even if buildings collapse it’s not dangerous, plus it’s good for observing the situation!”

In the cold wind, among the students of Class 1 huddling for warmth, Qin Wenrou muttered: ”That freak isn’t an expert, why are you blindly following her, aren’t you treasuring your life?”

Xu Qinghua sneered even more: ”Didn’t she just stumble upon it, moving a bit faster than those losers in Class 2? We didn’t escape because of her; it was the alarm in the teaching building that reminded us.”

Qin Xin gave him a cold glance.

Didn’t bother to pay him any mind.

She only said to Ao Xinghao and the others: ”The most important thing now is to keep warm. It will get dark soon and the temperature will drop quickly. We must plan early and first collect some flammable materials. Who has a lighter?”

Gou Dachun raised his hand: ”I-I-I do!”

He then took off his down jacket, glanced at Ao Meng’s woolen dress and slender ankles beside him, and asked cautiously: ”Um, Teacher Ao, are you wearing too little? I’ll lend you my coat?”

Ao Meng gave him a disdainful look: ”Forget it, you’re not even as strong as I am.”

Rejected!

Gou Dachun blinked his hurt little eyes, frustrated at losing the rare chance to step up and show some masculinity, only to be thoroughly discouraged by Ao Meng.

But then he heard Ao Meng’s tone change: ”Put it back on quickly and follow me to gather dry branches. Didn’t you hear the kids say it’ll drop in temperature when it gets dark, and we need to prepare early? Come with me!”

Gou Dachun instantly straightened his spine: ”Let’s go, let’s go!”

Rare opportunity to hang out with Teacher Ao.

Ao Meng also called to the classmates: ”Kids, I know there’s a lot of dry pine needles in the pine forest up front, they light easily. Let’s go together!”

Gou Dachun’s little heart, which had just started thumping with excitement, suddenly fizzled out again.

Aww, turns out it’s not just the two of us acting together.

Others from the faculty also moved, some picking up pine needles, others finding dry branches, and before long, several campfires were lit by the Ice Lake.

The sky gradually turned dark.

Qin Xin’s predictions became increasingly accurate.

Everyone shivered around the campfires, realizing that without any preparation the situation would have been much worse.

Those who were relaxed before, seeing the darkening sky and feeling the rapidly dropping temperature, gradually stopped laughing and commenting, falling into silence.

The rescue team still hadn’t arrived, and the signal had yet to be restored.

In the face of an isolated disaster, everyone was equal.

At this moment, by the campfire of Class 1, Qin Wenrou tried several times but couldn’t squeeze in.

Earlier, she thought the pine needles were dirty and didn’t gather them, and now feeling cold and wanting to warm up, the others in Class 1 ignored her.
