The First Store System

Chapter 1255: A New Day for the Store(2)

”There are five types of skills and seven levels in all of them are available for up to Supreme God cultivators…” Aakesh introduced the skills in detail to the man.

Ruwan stood there, listening to Aakesh with focus. He then asked some more questions, and once he was satisfied with what he heard, he thanked Aakesh and then walked toward the room, as pointed out by the store owner.

His friends had mysteriously told him about the store, and it was his suggestion that he come to the store and buy some skills. After listening to his friendʼs suggestion, Ruwan believed that the store sold a top-notch skill that would help him win the challenge against his evil stepbrother.

After listening to Aakesh, Ruwan understood that there wasnʼt only one top-notch skill but countless of them for every element. It depended on what he could afford.

(A/N: I mistakenly used the Emperor level for both Sharp Edge and Mighty Valor when customers can only buy one skill of one level for each type. I have corrected my mistake. Sorry for that.)

As Ruwan entered the room, he came across the sight of several shelves and then different customers from different races near them. Some were reading the details on the card they held, while others were standing in front of the semi-pillar.

Since Aakesh had already informed him of the functions and workings of the room, he wasnʼt surprised by the scene.

Since Ruwan was of Higher God cultivation, he went toward the shelf representing the same level.

There was a single customer beside him in front of that shelf. When Ruwan reached it, the man stopped looking at the card and then looked at him.

The man then nodded toward Ruwan and returned to his card. Ruwan also nodded in response, but the man had already busied himself reading the skillʼs details.

Ruwan also brought his focus to the shelf. According to the store owner, the higher the level went, the effects of the skills grew as well, as did the training time.

The high price was an issue for Ruwan, as was the time since his challenge with his evil stepbrother was to happen seven years later. Considering these factors, Ruwan decided to give up on God level skills and choose to start with Master level.

Ruwan required good attacking, defensive, and supporting skills. After he challenged the brother, his father himself was training his evil stepbrother. Ruwan needed to win handsomely since it would be his first strike toward his goal of extinguishing the Glasson family.

Ruwan was a multi-element user, with control of air, earth, and water.

Air was the most suitable element when it came to offense, so Ruwan decided to pick an attacking skill for that element. He then reached for the shelf and pulled out a card.

Ruwan read the details on the card with focus. In the end, he was slightly confused over whether to purchase the skill.

Since there was confusion regarding the purchase, Ruwan chose to give up on that one and then reached for the shelf again.

Time flew by, and after reaching for the seventeenth time, Ruwan finally took a skill card out that he fell in love with as soon as he saw its details.

It wasnʼt the end, and Ruwan reached the shelf again, but the next one, referring to the King level. He then compared the Master and King level skills. It still wasnʼt the end, and he went to the Emperor level section, taking the skill out.

[Name: Annihilation Tempest

Type: Attacking

Level: Emperor

Cultivation Level: Early to peak Higher God

Effect: Unleashes an overwhelming storm of destructive force

Description: The user taps into the boundless power of the air element, summoning a cataclysmic tempest of devastating force. The velocity and intensity of these aerial assaults make them nearly impossible to evade or withstand, as they obliterate even the sturdiest of fortifications and armor.

The energy and concentration required to command such an overwhelming tempest demand immense focus and may exhaust the user if kept activated for a long period of time.

Price: Two hundred fifty supreme Sacred stones.]

Ruwanʼs eyes grew wide open as he read the details of the Emperor level [Annihilation Tempest]. Just from the itemʼs description, Ruwan could imagine the destruction it would cause on a battlefield once activated.

Ruwan couldnʼt help but imagine the scene of the storm slowly tearing apart his stepbrother. Imagining that scene, a cruel yet satisfied smile appeared on his face.

Ruwan immediately returned to reality and frowned since it wasnʼt good to lose himself in his imagination when the battle was yet to start. It would make him overconfident, and that was the last thing he needed.

Since the skill was chosen, it was time for Ruwan to choose the level. The Emperor level had the most description as well as the least negative effect of all three for the user.

Ruwan had one ultimate Sacred stone with him, so it was more than enough to buy the Emperor level skill. The only thing that worried Ruwan was the training time.

Before purchasing other types of skills, Ruwan decided to experience the skill and see the training time before making his choice.

No matter when he went to experience the skill, the price would still be the same.

Thinking like that, Ruwan held the skill for all three levels and walked toward the semi-pillar.

Since it was still early in the morning, there wasnʼt a long line in front of the semi-pillar. Ruwan got his turn only after a wait of several seconds.

He decided to start with the Emperor level skill and put the card in its respective section. The next moment, Ruwan found himself in a different environment.

In front of him stood a large army that was slowly surrounding him. The killing intent in the area was almost material as they coldly stared at Ruwan.

Ruwan felt a chill crawling down his spine when he noticed those several stares. He wanted to run away, but his body didnʼt listen to his command and stood there while the army surrounded him.

Ruwan cursed in his heart when he found himself acting like a coward, even though it was only an illusion.

Ruwan tried to remember the scene of his father sheltering his evil stepbrother, and a wave of anger rushed through his body.

Ruwan no longer felt afraid and looked at the scene in front of him. After the encirclement was complete, the army charged at him with different weapons and skills.

Ruwanʼs body acted on its own and activated the [Annihilation Tempest]. The next moment, air in the range of three hundred meters turned into a raging storm. It wasnʼt the end, but only the beginning.

The storm soon turned into a gigantic cyclone, with its range growing severalfold. Ruwan could see the destruction the wind unleashed wherever it passed.

The fear he felt from the soldiers was nothing in comparison to what he felt looking at the scene in front of him. It was as if he were a God punishing mortals for sullying him.

The soldiers on the scene tried to defend against the raging storm with energy and metal shields, but nothing seemed to work in front of the storm. It ripped apart everything it passed through.

It was a cruel scene to watch, but it finally ended, with Ruwan being the sole survivor of that battle. As far as his eyes could see, he could see different body parts and blood dirtying the ground.

Ruwan, who had gone through several battles, almost puked seeing that scene. But he controlled himself, and not long after, he was back in the store with hair erect all over his body while large beads of sweat streaked through his cheeks.

The next moment, the screen on the semi-pillar lit up, and soon after, the content began to appear on it.

[Skill: Annihilation Tempest

Level: Emperor

Cultivator: early to peak Higher God

Compatibility: 89%

Training Time: Four Years.]

Since the content on it was engraved into the minds of customers to make them immediately move, the same happened with Ruwan, and he moved to the side. Another customer took his place.

Ruwan then thought of the details he saw on the screen. His compatibility with the air element was high, as was his skill.

Ruwan had to thank Farren for his high compatibility since it happened due to a valuable material he had gotten there.

The training time was long since his battle with his stepbrother was only seven years away, and the skill alone would take more than half of that time for him to learn. But the next moment, all disagreements disappeared from his mind after he remembered the destruction he saw and hair all over his body erected again.
