Overlord of the Wilderness

Zhaang Ye returned to Rising Sun Peak and saw the four Medicine Slaves gathered outside Chaoyang Hall. They all wore smug expressions, their chests puffed out proudly.

Seeing Zhaang Ye walk toward Chaoyang Hall, Flower Slave suddenly stepped forward to block his path, shouting, ”Hold it! You can’t go in!”

”Hm?”

Zhaang Ye’s gaze swept across Flower Slave’s face as a tangible aura instantly locked onto him. Zhaang Ye said coolly, ”What a bold slave. It seems my frequent absences have made you forget who your master is.”

SWOOSH!

Zhaang Ye’s hand shot out, moving with deceptive slowness as it reached for Flower Slave’s neck. Though the grab didn’t seem fast and employed no discernible technique, Flower Slave found he couldn’t dodge it no matter how he tried. He could only watch helplessly as Zhaang Ye’s hand closed in.

Zhaang Ye squeezed Flower Slave’s neck and said coolly, ”The Heaven and Earth Essence Qi on Rising Sun Peak is decent, but I never expected to rely on this mountain to harvest Spirit Elixirs. In that case, keeping you four Medicine Slaves is useless. I might as well kill you all and restore peace and quiet to Rising Sun Peak.”

Flower Slave was terrified and roared, ”Zhaang Ye, you’re not my master! You can’t kill me! My master is Lord Galaxy! I am Lord Galaxy’s Medicine Slave, you can’t kill me!”

Zhaang Ye let out a cold laugh, his grip suddenly tightening as he prepared to twist Flower Slave’s head off. But just as he applied the force, a voice like clashing metal rang out. ”Wait!”

In the wake of the voice, a man and a woman emerged from Chaoyang Hall. The woman’s hair was like a cascade of clouds, her face demonically beautiful—it was none other than Zhaang Ye’s old acquaintance, Lan Heying. The man was clad in gold and emanated an imposing, inviolable aura. Though his every move was slow, it conveyed a sense of incredible might.

Zhaang Ye’s aura locked onto the man in gold. A grave look entered his eyes as he said slowly, ”Galaxy!”

The man in gold smiled faintly and said with arrogance, ”Good eye, Junior Brother Zhaang. I am indeed the Green Cloud Sect’s former Inner Sect Senior Brother, as well as the master of this Rising Sun Peak. Galaxy.”

Galaxy!

The Green Cloud Sect’s former Inner Sect Senior Brother, a genius who had comprehended the Golden Realm shortly after joining the sect and remained undefeated among his inner-sect peers! A prodigy who had reached the True Dao Fourth Layer in a mere twenty years!

As expected of someone who had comprehended the Golden Realm, Galaxy’s every word carried a natural dominance, an aura that looked down upon the world. Hearing his commanding voice, a look of infatuation appeared on Lan Heying’s pretty face. She pressed her entire body against his, nestling against him like a delicate bird.

The other Medicine Slaves, who had been breathless under Zhaang Ye’s oppressive aura, bowed slightly at the sight of Galaxy, their faces filled with reverence. As for Flower Slave, whose neck was still in Zhaang Ye’s grasp, it was as if he had found his savior. The terror on his face was wiped clean away, replaced by a look of brazen confidence.

Galaxy’s cold, domineering gaze fixed on Zhaang Ye.

Zhaang Ye met Galaxy’s gaze without flinching and said slowly, ”Senior Brother Galaxy, this Rising Sun Peak is my territory. You owe me an explanation for showing up here unannounced.”

”Ah!”

Hearing Zhaang Ye’s incredibly defiant words, the Medicine Slaves could hardly believe their ears. Once the shock wore off, Flower Slave, Grass Slave, Wood Slave, and Vine Slave all stared at him as if he were an idiot. They wondered if Galaxy’s oppressive aura had driven Zhaang Ye insane.

Lan Heying also gave Zhaang Ye a strange look. She never imagined that upon seeing Galaxy, Zhaang Ye would not only show no fear but would speak so defiantly. ’Demand an explanation from Galaxy? Does Zhaang Ye not know that Galaxy is a great master at the True Dao Fourth Layer who has also comprehended the Golden Realm?’

A flash of surprise crossed Galaxy’s eyes, but his expression quickly returned to an icy mask. He said in a tone that brooked no argument, ”Zhaang Ye, this Rising Sun Peak used to be yours, but now it belongs to me. Out of consideration for our shared sect, I’ll give you the time it takes for half an incense stick to burn. Gather your things and leave Rising Sun Peak.

And another thing, the four Medicine Slaves—Flower, Grass, Wood, and Vine—now belong to me as well. Zhaang Ye, release Flower Slave immediately, or you will face the consequences.”

Zhaang Ye chuckled. ”Such a show of authority, Senior Brother Galaxy! ’Face the consequences?’ I’d like to see exactly what those consequences are after I kill these Medicine Slaves.”

As he spoke, Zhaang Ye’s fingers tightened abruptly. With a faint SNAP, he twisted Flower Slave’s head clean off. Blood gushed from the headless corpse. Flower Slave’s face, even in death, was a mask of disbelief. He had never imagined that Zhaang Ye would actually dare to kill someone right in front of Galaxy!

”Insolence!”

Seeing Zhaang Ye ignore his warning and kill a man right before his very eyes, a faint golden sheen spread across Galaxy’s face. With a flick of his finger, a golden flower materialized from thin air. It blossomed at an astonishing speed, expanding to the size of a bucket, and appeared instantly above Zhaang Ye, descending to envelop his head!

”Hm?”

Zhaang Ye sensed a cold, metallic power contained within the golden flower—a force capable of slicing through the void itself. ’If I let this flower fall on my head,’ he thought, ’it will be completely devoured. I’ll end up a headless corpse, just as pathetic as Flower Slave.’
