Overlord of the Wilderness

Luo Juewu was the Third Prince of the Daluo Kingdom, accustomed to being high and mighty, accustomed to people fawning over him. When Zhaang Ye rejected his invitation without a moment’s hesitation, his temper flared, and he began to threaten him.

THUMP!

As Luo Juewu spoke, the black-clothed middle-aged man with unfathomably deep cultivation suddenly stepped forward. An aura like a towering mountain instantly rumbled toward Zhaang Ye, threatening to crush him.

Zhaang Ye felt the man’s aura and was secretly shocked. ’This man’s cultivation is even more formidable than the white-clothed man’s from three days ago.’

Despite his shock, Zhaang Ye possessed the Wind Realm. ’If I can’t win, I can always run. There’s no need to worry too much.’ He released his own aura to counter the middle-aged man’s and sneered, ”Refusing a toast only to be forced to drink a forfeit? What a joke. What gives you the right, what gives you the power, to punish me?”

A flash of anger crossed Luo Juewu’s eyes. He said grimly, ”Your strength is impressive. I was sincere in my invitation for you to join my Third Prince’s Mansion. But since you don’t know what’s good for you, I’ll waste no more words. Grandmaster, this man injured the Mighty King’s third son. Please, teach him a lesson!”

The black-clothed middle-aged man nodded slightly, his gaze falling upon Zhaang Ye. ”Junior,” he said flatly, ”your aura and strength are both quite impressive. However, your cultivation is only at the mere Early-stage Third Layer of True Dao. You are absolutely no match for me. Now, receive a blow from my Innate Primordial Fist!”

The black-clothed man suddenly raised his fist and threw a punch at Zhaang Ye!

BOOM!

A small fist, yet the black-clothed man had unleashed it with overwhelming might. Zhaang Ye felt the small fist expand endlessly before his eyes, blotting out the heavens and the earth. In that instant, nothing else existed—there was only an infinitely large fist, crashing down upon him!

’Winning with brute force?’ Zhaang Ye sneered inwardly as he watched the man’s fist. His palm suddenly transformed into a Hand Blade as he chopped out, meeting force with force!

BOOM!

The fist and Hand Blade collided with the clang of metal. Zhaang Ye and the black-clothed man both felt an immense force rush toward them, and they were both thrown back ten zhang.

The black-clothed man’s eyes flashed with astonishment. Although Zhaang Ye’s cultivation was only at the True Dao Third Layer, the power he had just unleashed was immense. Even with his own cultivation at the Peak of True Dao Fourth Layer, he had been forced back ten zhang after taking that single blow.

If the black-clothed man was astonished, the Third Prince, Luo Juewu, who stood off to the side, was utterly astounded. He never would have imagined Zhaang Ye could be so powerful as to force even the unfathomably strong Grandmaster back ten zhang.

”What immense strength, Junior! Let’s see how many more of my punches you can take!” Being forced back by Zhaang Ye’s attack was utterly humiliating for the black-clothed man. ’I am a master at the Peak of True Dao Fourth Layer, yet I was pushed back by a mere practitioner at the Early-stage Third Layer of True Dao. If word of this got out, I’d be completely disgraced!’

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The black-clothed man swung both fists, unleashing five punches in succession. The immense power from the five strikes coalesced in the air, forming a black lotus.

The lotus grew rapidly, its five black petals unfurling. They expanded, and expanded again, filling the entire void. As the petals spread, a colossal power swept forth like a tsunami, causing the void itself to tremble under its immense might!

’What a terrifying Fist Technique!’

Faced with such a terrifying Fist Technique, even the battle-hardened and powerful Zhaang Ye was secretly shocked. The man’s Fist Technique had reached a level of pure perfection; even with his comprehension of the Wind Realm, Zhaang Ye knew he could not evade it!

’If I can’t dodge it, I’ll just have to meet it head-on!’

Zhaang Ye formed a blade with his hand and suddenly chopped out five times. Five vast, golden lights shot forth, piercing into the black lotus. The sound of the colliding Qi Forces rang out like thunder!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Zhaang Ye’s Celestial River Righteous Qi clashed violently with the black-clothed man’s Innate True Qi. The two energies detonated like explosives, letting out five deafening bangs in quick succession. The immense power swept outward, blasting a gap tens of miles wide in the clouds above before carving a crater several miles wide into the earth below.

After the five head-on collisions, Zhaang Ye and the black-clothed man both retreated in a flash. A trickle of blood appeared at the corner of the black-clothed man’s mouth; he had clearly suffered internal injuries.

Zhaang Ye had been severely injured three days prior during his battle with the white-clothed man. Though three days of healing had helped him improve greatly, he hadn’t fully recovered. After clashing head-on five times with the black-clothed man, Zhaang Ye felt the qi and blood within him roil, and he couldn’t stop himself from spitting out two mouthfuls of fresh blood.

Seeing Zhaang Ye spit blood, a look of delight appeared on the faces of both the black-clothed man and Luo Juewu. Luo Juewu cheered, ”Grandmaster, what a powerful Fist Technique! Keep hitting him! Beat him half to death; I have a use for him!”

Luo Juewu had made up his mind. First, he would have Zhaang Ye beaten half to death. Then, he would prepare a special concoction of drugs and force-feed them to him, turning Zhaang Ye into a Puppet.

The black-clothed man laughed. ”Excellent! Third Prince, just watch closely and see how I take care of this brat...”

Zhaang Ye’s expression remained perfectly calm, completely unaffected by the other two. ’This black-clothed man’s cultivation is extremely high,’ he thought. ’In my current condition, I can’t possibly gain an advantage by fighting him head-on. Fortunately, he has a weakness. And that weakness is Luo Juewu. As long as I exploit that weakness, defeating him won’t be difficult.’

BOOM!

While the black-clothed man was gloating, Zhaang Ye moved like lightning, retrieving the Punishment Whip from his Little World and lashing out at Luo Juewu!

As the Punishment Whip shot out, a brilliant, golden Celestial River instantly appeared in the air. The black-clothed man never imagined that Zhaang Ye possessed such a terrifying True Artifact, much less that he would suddenly attack Luo Juewu!

Luo Juewu was the noble Third Prince of the Daluo Kingdom. Seeing him in danger, the black-clothed man let out a great roar and shot forward like a bolt of lightning, meeting Zhaang Ye’s Long Whip head-on with both fists.

BOOM!

The Punishment Whip and the fists collided with a tremendous boom. The black-clothed man had blocked Zhaang Ye’s lash with his bare hands and felt as if his fists were about to shatter. What horrified him even more was that after the Long Whip made contact, waves of intense pain radiated from his fists.

’My fists have been cultivated to the point where they are impervious to blades and spears,’ the black-clothed man thought, a sense of dread washing over him. ’How could they be in such excruciating pain after a single strike from that Long Whip?’

Just then, with a flick of his wrist, Zhaang Ye sent the Long Whip cracking toward Luo Juewu once more!

The Punishment Whip contained immense power; if Luo Juewu were struck, he would be torn to shreds. Left with no choice, the black-clothed man once again executed his Body Technique to intercept Zhaang Ye’s second lash.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Zhaang Ye continuously swung the Long Whip, executing the Punishment Whip Technique. Lash after lash rained down in a fierce assault aimed at Luo Juewu, leaving the black-clothed man scrambling to defend him.

The Punishment Whip Technique Zhaang Ye unleashed was created specifically for the Punishment Whip, and the combination greatly amplified its power. Furthermore, Zhaang Ye had integrated his Wind Realm into the Whip Technique, making his strikes as fast as lightning. Under Zhaang Ye’s stormy, torrential assault, Luo Juewu was scared stiff, not daring to move an inch.

Meanwhile, the black-clothed man struggling to resist Zhaang Ye’s Whip Technique was suffering immensely. Zhaang Ye’s technique was both incredibly fast and profound; under such a relentless barrage, the man didn’t even have a chance to draw his own weapon and could only continue to desperately block with his fists.

”GAAAAH!”

The Punishment Whip contained a strange power that inflicted unbearable pain on anyone it struck. Despite the black-clothed man’s profound cultivation, his fists were being hit again and again, and an endless tide of pain washed over his entire body!

WHAP!

Zhaang Ye capitalized on a small mistake by the black-clothed man, and the tip of the Long Whip viciously tore across Luo Juewu’s thigh. A large chunk of flesh was instantly ripped away. The excruciating pain made Luo Juewu’s entire body tremble, and he couldn’t help but let out a strange groan.

WHAP! WHAP! WHAP! WHAP! WHAP!

The Punishment Whip in Zhaang Ye’s hand was as nimble as the wind and as cunning as a viper. He lashed out again and again. The black-clothed man, despite possessing immense power, was completely unable to bring it to bear. His fists, arms, and body were struck repeatedly, forcing him to jump about in pain while letting out strange shrieks, wishing he could tear Zhaang Ye limb from limb.

As much as the black-clothed man was suffering, Luo Juewu’s state was far more miserable. Zhaang Ye’s Long Whip was always aimed at the prince, and though the middle-aged man did his utmost to block, he couldn’t deflect every strike. In just a few moments, Luo Juewu had been struck more than a dozen times. He was in so much pain he was weeping uncontrollably, any semblance of his princely demeanor long since vanished.

THUMP!

Zhaang Ye found an opening, sent the black-clothed man flying with a punch, and then seized Luo Juewu.

Luo Juewu sensed the danger and, forcing down his pain, yelled, ”What do you think you’re doing?”

Zhaang Ye said nothing. He grabbed Luo Juewu by the neck and viciously slapped him dozens of times, hitting him so hard that the prince saw stars and spat out mouthfuls of blood and broken teeth.

Luo Juewu had never been so humiliated in his entire life. His eyes burned with venomous hatred as he stared at Zhaang Ye and stammered, ”You... you dare hit me... You’re dead! You’re dead!”

Zhaang Ye sneered, then sent a flying kick squarely into Luo Juewu’s groin. As the prince flew through the air, Zhaang Ye activated his Body Technique and promptly departed.
