Beneath the Red Dragon

The mercury patterns reflecting sunlight on the golem’s body quietly dimmed at this moment, then cracked, with chunks of stone collapsing from its immense frame, finally transforming into a pile of rubble.

Karon and Fog Dragon Deniro emerged from the armory with satisfaction, stepping into the interior of the ’Burning Hooves’ military camp.

Compared to the vast camp, the warriors inside were pitifully few; currently, the officially registered active warriors of ’Burning Hooves’ do not exceed five hundred.

Because the resources needed by these elite warriors are extremely precious, even those carrying Dragon Blood, while not created from Giant Dragon True Blood but merely fortified with Giant Dragon Blood and potions, yet the Giant Dragon Blood isn’t something that can be freely supplied.

As for the demons and demons from the Abyss and Hell, although capturing one allows continuously drawing out and draining their bloodline.

However, as the essence of power from these randomly captured ’lucky spectators’ drains away, the Empire still needs to raise these ’lucky spectators’ from the Abyss and Hell like pigs, only able to be utilized again once their essence of power has recovered.

This has led to the Empire constantly employing various methods to select these lucky spectators and contribute to the Empire’s civilization building.

The wicked Scholar Mages have even proposed to Karon to spend vast sums to establish a large prison for these visitors from the Abyss and Hell.

The Ancestral Red Dragon has approved this proposal, and the management of the large prison is led by Black Dragon Rosani, the Giant Dragon skilled in digging pits.

Karon even knows that those Scholar Mages privately refer to this large prison as ’Pigsty’.

Sometimes Karon feels that even the arrogance stemming from the bloodline of Giant Dragons doesn’t compare to the acquired arrogance of those mages.

However, due to the warriors in the camp being too few, the various sub-groups within the legion are still gathered in the same camp area for ease of management.

In the vast martial arts field, dozens of pairs of warriors were fighting naked, using weapons in combat.

Though the armor styles of ’Burning Hooves’ warriors are the same across the battle groups, each warrior’s weapon is different, custom-made by the Empire’s master craftsmen to unleash each warrior’s formidable combat power.

The constant clash of steel and iron reverberated, vibrating the Dragon’s ears with a buzzing hum.

”Hahaha, is this all you have? You truly disgrace the honor of Dragon Blood,” a formidable warrior swung the long-handled wolf-tooth flail, whipping up the wind, pressing against the calm and composed warrior opposite.

”The honor of Dragon Blood is beyond the imagination of those with sinful blood,” the composed warrior wielding dual blades dodged deftly and continuously struck precisely at the weak turning points of the flail’s power with the back of the blades, the pair of dragonlike pupils shining brightly.

These warriors, with Dragon Blood in them, take pride in their dragon-like traits, and although they haven’t undergone the baptism of Giant Dragon True Blood and their potential for future growth is generally weak, they still possess formidable strength.

Some unique warriors can even, like Dragon Descendants, unleash Giant Dragon’s Breath, possessing power not weaker than ordinary Giant Dragons.

Meanwhile, warriors with demon and demon’s blood show no distinct changes externally except for the transformation induced by the bloodline baptism and empowerment, making their physique and body size more robust.

Since these warriors require perfect mastery of their blood to be officially registered in the ’Burning Hooves’ legion’s roster.

Dragon Descendant Wolfman Saha stands outside the field, watching the warriors’ battles attentively.

This Wolfman, once the head of the Imperial Guard, has been released from the Imperial Guard by Karon to control the most crucial Imperial Guard Corps for Karon.

Once Nightwalkers, due to their small numbers, have also been merged into the ’Thousand Sons’ as a branch of the Thousand Sons.

Currently, the Imperial Guard, in a sense, has become an extension of Karon, not just Dragon Descendant Wolfman Saha, but also various seasoned Imperial Guard warriors and generals have been sent out to serve as political commissioners in the Empire’s major legions.

This allows Karon, an emperor perched high on the throne, to maintain formidable control over all military forces within the Empire, even without frequently appearing within the legions.

No legion can keep secrets from Karon; before those commissioners, Karon’s authority remains unwavering regardless of legion iterations.
