Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 955: Chapter 754: Stop, Don’t Fight Anymore_2

”Oh, it’s nothing.” Kael said carelessly, not intending to ask about this.

In fact, the one who used the Imperio curse on Katie Bell was none other than Ms. Rosmerta, something Kael knew since the last Love Potion incident.

Ms. Rosmerta personally admitted that during her time under the control of the Imperio curse, she also used it on a girl from Hogwarts.

However, it was not her original intention, but she was manipulated.

This matter was strictly kept secret by the professors, known only to a few, including Harry.

”Where are you headed to?” Kael glanced at the book in her hand, the top one being ”Wand and Magic.”

”You haven’t finished your homework either, have you?”

”No, I’ve finished it ages ago. It’s Harry and Ron.” Hermione said, ”But they’ve finished theirs now too, I’m just planning to return the books.”

”I see, go ahead then.” Kael smiled and waved his hand, preparing to continue upstairs.

”Wait, Kael.” Suddenly, Hermione called him from behind and asked, ”I heard you took leave and aren’t going to classes? Is that true?”

”Who said that?”

”Cormac McLaggen, a seventh-year Gryffindor student.” Hermione said, ”He mentioned at a dinner that he hasn’t seen you in class for a long time, and then Professor Slughorn said you’ve taken leave and aren’t attending classes.”

”Ah, that’s indeed the case.” Kael said.

”Can you tell me why?” Hermione asked, surprised when Kael admitted it.

To her, not going to classes was a difficult behavior to understand and shouldn’t happen to someone as outstanding as Kael.

Furthermore, isn’t seventh-year about taking the N.E.W.T. exams soon? Not going to classes now is very strange.

”It’s nothing, I just have some other things to do.” Kael said casually, ”Although it may sound arrogant, I really don’t need to attend classes anymore.

”Also, my leave is temporary, maybe after I’m done with some things, I’ll continue attending classes.”

He did not tell Hermione about the ”make-up classes.”

Although the two had a good relationship, Hermione’s personality made Kael give up on this idea.

Firstly, Hermione’s Magic Text level is similar to Cho’s, even if she went, she would learn very little.

Moreover, she is different from Cho.

How to say, Hermione is a bit single-minded on certain matters, for example, she excessively trusts books, even when the facts are right before her, if they conflict with so-called authority, she will doubt and even resist.

And the teaching from a thousand years ago is vastly different from the concepts she usually encounters, she would surely have many questions, and Kael did not have the time to explain each one to her.

Besides, even if all the questions are resolved, with Hermione’s personality, she might stubbornly insist on learning.

If she learns, it’s fine, but as Ravenclaw said, the Room of Requirement will not always exist, if she doesn’t learn before the memory disappears, all the time spent will be wasted, and this experience might even affect her future learning of magic, somewhat counterproductive.

Considering all these, even though their relationship is good, Kael still chose secrecy and did not tell her.

Hermione, though a bit skeptical, could only choose to believe him as Kael would not say.

The two chatted a bit more before parting at the staircase,

Hermione heading to the library downstairs, Kael preparing to continue a lap, but hadn’t gone far when he suddenly heard a faint explosion.

Strange, why is there an explosion at Hogwarts?

Initially, Kael thought he heard wrong, but the next second, a louder sound followed, accompanied by screams.

”Stop it...”

”Don’t fight, stop fighting!”

...

”That’s Moaning Myrtle’s voice, upstairs!” Hermione appeared behind Kael, having clearly heard the commotion.

Moaning Myrtle?

Kael paused slightly, then immediately ran towards the direction of the sound, with Hermione closely behind.

As the distance shortened, the sounds became clearer, Kael could even hear incantations.

”It’s Harry!” Hermione screamed, far too familiar with that voice to be mistaken.

Harry encountered an attack at Hogwarts?

Hermione instantly thought of the incident two years ago during the Triwizard Tournament, when Harry was abducted from school... now she was even more anxious, directly tossing her heavy book to the side of the corridor.

”Don’t panic, this is Hogwarts, nothing will happen.” Kael reassured her, also quickening his pace.

Soon, they reached the seventh floor, near a blasted bathroom.

It wasn’t hard to find because Moaning Myrtle was floating at the doorway.

Kael quickly ran over.

The bathroom indeed had Harry in it, holding a wand, panting heavily.

And opposite him... was Malfoy, in a similar state, also holding a wand.

Uncertain of what just transpired, the bathroom door had been blasted by charms, hanging crookedly on the door frame.

The pipes inside were broken, constantly spraying water out, with water hitting the ceiling and falling down, appearing as a heavy rain inside the room.

Moaning Myrtle desperately screamed for them to stop fighting, but no one listened.

Their eyes only on each other, completely ignoring everything around them.
